Conversation with the Sage

Eren turned to see a wizened figure standing in the entrance to his chamber, the faint light filtering in from the corridor casting intricate shadows across the lined face and long, flowing beard of brilliant white. Though Eren had no relation to the old man, he instantly recognized who it was.

"Greetings, Sage Braham," Eren said, inclining his head respectfully towards the towering mind before him.

It was Sage of Wisdom, the prime minister of the Mauryan empire, master of the Wisdom Tower, Sage Braham himself.

Eren got up from his bed, and although still in pain, he managed to show a respectful bow to the old man.

"You remember me, huh?" 

Sage Braham asked in a stern yet kind tone. Though they hadn't had a conversation till now, Eren and Braham had seen each other when Eren stayed at the royal court after the incident at the Royal Museum.
