Flashback: ** (Bai Ling pov)...

"1.5 Dollars! That's all for the month!" I looked at my earnings dashboard and let out a lousy curse. Even cursing is so hard to do, it seems I can't do anything right, after all.

I took hold of the laptop and is about to throw it against the wall but reconsidered. I realized I can't even do that, I'm too poor to destroy something I can't even buy a replacement of.

I looked at my face in the mirror, and I felt so pathetic looking at my chubby reflection with a sharp scar on my face. "Why did the gods curse me with this kind of life?"

"Why do you have to be so ugly, Bai Ling?" I asked myself and smiled bitterly. They said you must love yourself first, but even that is so hard to do.

When you are born as unlucky as I had been, you will understand exactly what I mean.

I was the ugliest among the Orphaned children, a fatty ever since I was in my younger years. In my eighteen years of existence, I have never had a boyfriend and I am treated as a slave in the orphanage.

I have no career and I followed my passion to write. I ended up being a freelancer on a platform that can't even pay my bills.

I took my pouch and readied to go out, I'm out of instant noodles again!. I was midway down the street when it suddenly rained, "Just my luck, I'm the most unlucky person in the world!" I shouted and cursed myself for not taking an umbrella. I decided to just run fast to avoid getting soaked in the rain. You see, I don't even have enough savings to allow myself to be sick and later got adopted by the great grand master, Mr. Liu.

Flashback ended

I open my eyes and saw the world with its sharp dagger, I touched my face and remembered the days I was left alone in the orphanage, suffering I now look beautiful by the care of my father Mr.Liu.

Cold and dark..... This place can be called that of hell. After all, this is a prison cell. Imagine how hard life can be for the people you have been put here. But... Her?? What crime did she commit to having been sent here?? The crime of wanting the love of her family?? Or the crime of selling herself just for the sake of her ungrateful so-called family. How stupid was she to not have seen how badly they treated her but still, she wanted to prove that she could fit in any way my family riches was seen around me which made me a beauty. For so long she always wanted a family, but when she got what she wanted, she didn't want it anymore. How naive she had been trying all she could just for the sake of helping her family but what did they do?? Her sister backstabbed the worst thing was that her husband left her for her sister, and her mother and father put her in a cold cell with barely enough clothes and food to eat. Why?? Because she held the eagle's Grandmaster..... The will which was put in her body from birth, that same will that made people orchestrate the separation of her from her family. The will that could control the entire Country, but how come the will ended up with her?? Did the Grandmaster implant it in her knowing that she would suffer with it?? The heavy prison door opened as her so-called mother Liu and sister Liu Tang entered the dark room. A guard escorted them and the flashlight that he brought was now fixed on her. Because her eyes not being able to adjust to the lights, Bai Ling closed them. Her ears which could hear the slightest noise and pick up even a whisper couldn't help but perk up as she heard the first talk her mother said years after her torture.

"Bai Ling... Why are you doing this to yourself?? Can't you just tell us where the will is?? If you do, I can tell your father to let you go" Hearing what Mrs. Liu said, Bai Ling, didn't say anything, not because she didn't want to but just because she couldn't.

After years of torturing Bai Ling's vocal cords were destroyed and her limbs and tendons were all broken. Even the food put in the cell was untouched. How could she take it, even crawling was excruciating for her, especially now that it was cold? For a week now she hasn't tasted anything, not that the food there is edible..... Bai Ling rested her head on the bars hearing what Liu has to say.

But sister Liu Tang was impatient and she came to add her words.

"Still not speaking?? It seems that I was lenient with you all these while??"

Lenient?? Bai Ling said in her heart. Do you call this lenient??

"Big sister..... I am not here today to shed blood, I just want to tell you that I and Wang Jin are getting married, it is a pity that you are not there to celebrate with us" Liu Tang looked at Bai Ling trying to gouge out a reaction from her but as usual Bai Ling remained motionless because she knew her husband Wang Jin was forced to marry her.

"Hmph!! Since you are not saying anything how about I let you have a taste of getting your stomach and your intestines cut out, so I can search for the will?? Then will you scream for me??"

"Scream?! I lost that ability a long time ago..... Nothing can make me

scream. Even though you dissect me, you won't be able to find the Will because I destroyed it."Bai Ling mockingly responded "That's why you never got to have a Chinese name that goes with father's surname." But of course, Liu Tang didn't say that out loud. Seeing she said nothing "Guards!!" Liu Tang called clapping her hands "Come let's look for the Will in this woman's belly!!".

The guards picked up a broken bowl whose edge has dulled, going closer to the motionless girl sitting in the corner. But how could Bai Ling sit without doing anything, even though she was weak, even though her legs weren't working anymore? In the face of danger, the impossible becomes possible.Bai Ling head-butted the guard who came closer to her and with a hard grunt he fell, bleeding from his head. Bai Ling took a dagger from the guard belt and crawled towards Liu Tang like a ghost that came out of the horror movie in hell fire.

Slash!! Slash!! Slash!! With how fast and precise Bai Ling is, every inch of Liu Tang's face was slashed.

The remaining guards came in hearing Liu Tang's screaming, they came in and met the sight of Bai Ling laughing hysterically with a dagger on her hand, her voice coming off scarily.

"Kill her!! Kill that b*tch for me! How dare you ruin my face!! Kill her!!"Liu Tang yelled.

Several gunshots filled the air as Bai Lui's eyes dulled, she fell over slowly with a dark smile.

"If only... if only I have a second chance None of this will happen, this will never happen." Bai Ling silently said.

People who are not close to you are cruel but people who are closer to you are crueler. That is the reality for most people.

Bai Ling who thought she had the whole world since she was adopted, never thought that she had nothing. Bai Ling died without a burial place but at the last minute, a devil that crawled from hell she was reborn.

Her name is Bai Ling!!.
