Episode Two: Carbon Darkness

The middle schooler had a gloomy feel about her. She had dark circles underneath her dark purple eyes and a miserable expression. Her hair was tight into twin tails and she wore a dark blue trench coat about her size and blue trousers underneath.

Oliver steadily followed her toward the department store and then parted ways once he got inside. To procure ingredients and containers to shelf the herbs and spices. Meats and vegetables came at an agreeable price and so did the mason jars.

Walking away from the smell of the department store, Oliver came to one of the cashiers, only to find that same middle school girl on the one next to it. She had an assortment of items ranging from snacks, hair products, and groceries.

After all, it wasn't common for [Shifters] to live on their own, with either parent being dead or, just wanting to be alone.

She completed her payment and picked up three large shoppers on her own fairly easily. Oliver followed behind with two medium sizes of his own. Walking down the same path as her, only made her notice it even more.

Many other students were leaving for the morning timing towards Hoyaga Academy and other adults had disappeared to their jobs.

She suddenly stopped and turned around to look at Oliver, who paused with her suddenly turning around. "What do I want from me?" she said quickly, visibly irritated.

"Why are you being paranoid, I just happen to be going the same way as you", Oliver replied slightly amused.

"Are sure my father didn't send you?" she asked. "Why? are you a run-way?", Oliver responded with a question of his own. "Of course not! are you not a student at Hoyaga Academy?", she asked, and judging from her tone, Oliver could see she was distressed and untrusting.

Oliver started to walk again, "I just moved here yesterday", he replied. "What about you?", he said, while she also started walking behind him with caution. "I am not going to tell you where I live", she said in a low voice.

"I wasn't asking, more like. What's your name?", Oliver said, trying to carry the conversation. "Oh, hmm...It's Sotokei", she said with a shy tone.

"Well glad to have a name to go along with a pretty face, so why are you here?", Oliver asked, as they came in front of the second apartment complex.

She stopped, Oliver looked at her and she looked back with a grim expression. "I am...here to find someone", Sotokei said in a serious tone, while Oliver just stared at her for a moment.

"I see... Good luck I guess", he said, shrugging his shoulders.

She didn't say anymore and walked away toward her apartment complex. Oliver sighed and turned around to head to his own, minding his own business.

Now that everything was tucked in their respective places and all cleaned up. Oliver started getting ready. This was a formal situation, henceforth it meant for a suit and tie. A quick shower and then it came to dressing, putting on a spotless and wrinkleless white shirt along with black dress pants and a black tie. Then came the black suit over the white shirt and black dress shoes.

Oliver made sure to tick every box in his mind, his phone, wallet, visitor pass, napkins, and house keys. Once done, he made to check every switch was turned off and the main was locked properly when he left, not it would matter if a [Shifter] decided to barrage in.

The march of the students, which Oliver had witnessed in the morning. Now was returning to their houses, leaving the Academy. While staff rushed to prepare it for those who would arrive in the afternoon.

Entering the pristine metal gates, with other students not paying attention to the person in a formal suit. Beyond the walls and the gates, came a cobblestone embedded pathway. With two large squares of grasslands, with trees and benches for students to socialize in.

In the center of all and front of the grandiose monolith of a building, stood an elegant fountain, with the cobblestone pathway going around it towards the main building. The water shot out in a swirling pattern, into an empty platform in the middle held up by a single pillar. but Oliver saw more than that, a large tall Dream-Wood tree.

Its greenish-cyan rough-looking trunk stretched tall into the sky and with its roots claimed the fountain as its home. Clamping down in the water, the roots fed from below. While the tree spread out its mighty branches across the top with its cyan leaves. Providing shade and adding to beauty in the entrance.

There were creeps there as well, dancing and whispering. Making the Dream-Wood tree their home and feeding on the stress and anxiety of students. Oliver came and stood underneath the shade, as the wind blew through the cyan leave, causing a claiming rustling sound.

"Hey, you there", "Who are you?", Two voices spoke one after the other, disturbing Oliver's peace. Looking to his side, Oliver saw a set of fair-looking apricot-colored hair twins approaching him, wearing Hoyaga Academy uniforms. Which included a dark blue coat and matching skirt, and white shirt underneath, a blue tie, and black shoes.

Both twins had their hair tight into a ponytail, and with similar color eyes. They both were holding each other's hands while wearing a "Discipline Committee" arm bend.

One had it on her right arm, while the other had it on her left.

"Do you have a purpose being here?", the right one asked, "Of course he does, Probably", the left one replied, while they both stared attentively at Oliver without a smile.

"Ah, yes. I am a visitor, here to meet principal Nola Hoyaga. My name is Oliver", Oliver replied with a smile, seeing the Discipline Committee arm bend.

[Ability Activated] [All-Knowing]

Both of their eyes lit up in a soft yellow glow. "Of course, we don't", the one on left said, "Your name?", the other one asked, "We now know that too" the right one replied.

"Everyone knows that name", the left one said, "But not by a face", the right one added. "Only they know your name", the left one said, "But they don't know everything", the right one added.

"Am I that popular", Oliver asked with a smile, while they both just stared. Suddenly bumping their head in the middle and narrowing their eyes at Oliver, "Huh? are you an idiot?", they said in unison.

"Nobody knows you", the right one said, while they parted their heads and came back to their calm expression. "But all are talking about you", the left one added. "Through rumors", the right one said, "Gossips", the right one added, "And through a loudmouth," the left one said.

"Oh, I see. So you two are not going help in my Andover", Oliver asked and both narrowed their eyebrows again.

"Eh?", both said in unison while again bumping their head in the middle. "We don't know that", the left one side, while both parted their heads.

"We can't know that", the right one said, "We don't care to know that", the left one added, "But, we know why you are here", the right said, "And we don't care", the left one added.

Oliver understood his mistake at once, "I see", Oliver said as he apologetically bowed his head. "I am truly sorry for rudely assuming that", Oliver said and when looked up, the twins smiled at him.

"We like you, probably", the right one said, "Definitely" the left one added. And both with a pause looked at each other and then nodded. "Goodbye, Mister", both said in unison and then turned around.

"Well, okay", Oliver said, while seeing the twins leave, taking the path of cobble to the right of the Academy. Oliver sighed as continued on his way as well, toward the entrance.

Hoyaga Academy was a fine establishment working its roots in the Academic world for more than 40 years now. Working both as an education provider for young men and women, and acting as the HQ for the Council.

The main building had a glassy exterior with a structure curved inwards from the back. Standing four stories tall, the entryway had two large open sliding glass doors. With sets of steps leading up to it, with a row of pillars supporting the white archway above the steps.

Climbing onto them and walking inside the facility, Oliver first came to the receptionist. Normal-looking ginger sat on the seat and was dealing with two of the students. Oliver stopped and looked up behind the receptionist's desk, seeing a large portrait of a [Shifter].

An old-looking man with a dark blue hairline on his temple while being bald from the top. Wearing a gentlemen's suit, the [Shifter] was positioned on a chair, with the painting imitating the soft glow in his dark blue eyes. The name underneath the painting reads "Cillian Hoyaga".

The two students moved away from the desk, allowing Oliver to move in. The receptionist looked up at him from her computer screen. "Ah, yes. How may I help you".

"Not sure, I was asked to come and visit the Principle Hoyaga after the morning timing. Name is Oliver with no last name", Oliver said to her, while she looked back to monitor confusedly. After a little clicking around, she managed to find an email that she had received from management.

Reading it, she looked back at Oliver. "Yes, I found you. Sir you might have to wait", she said pointing the chairs over to the side. "I will have to make a quick call", she said with a smile and Oliver quietly nodded. He came and sat on a leather chair while putting his leg over another and waited patiently.

A little while later, a man came along. Wearing a suit just like Oliver, he had a sharp black haircut and a comforting smile on his face. He immediately took Oliver's attention and bowed his head, "Good morning to you, Mr. Oliver. I am here on behalf of our Mistress to receive you", the butler said and Oliver gave compulsory smile.

"I am glad for the service", Oliver replied. "I see, now would be so kind as to follow me", the butler said and Oliver nodded. The Bulter took Oliver through the east wing. The marble floor was sparkling from the floor polisher, making its rounds on the ground floor. Most classes were empty, with exception of a few classes with students waiting around or having a self-study section.

The butler, of course, noticed their curious gaze of Oliver going around. "Sir, if you have any questions. Do feel free to ask anything you may wonder about", the Butler said and immediately he received a curious gaze from Oliver.

"What's the point of this Academy?", Oliver asked and the butler smiled at hearing such an innocent question.

"Well not that it is necessary for our kind, but there have those that stood out from the common bunch. Who wanted to peruse knowledge and culture, and who was a better example other than humans, who are the personification of the society, religion, culture, and art that they inherit. Cillian Hoyaga was one of those and founded Hoyaga Academy to make our kind more civilized and disciplined... After all, we are living among them".

The Butler explained and turned around to look at Oliver's face, expecting a satisfying reaction. But found an inaccurate expression on Oliver's face. It was as if, the Butler had misunderstood the question, leaving behind an awkward feeling while Oliver just staring at him.

"Is everything okay Mr. Oliver?", the Butler asked. "No, no. Please continue", Oliver said coming back to the conversation. "Oh very well, then let's speed up shell we. She is not very patient", he said, as they turned right cutting into the fine line of classrooms and coming outside from behind.

Another cobblestone path cut through the grassy field, reviling a wide area for other buildings connected with Hoyaga estate which bordered the city park.

On the left side closer to them were a set of three cuboid buildings joined together. And on the right side were a set of two buildings one wider and one taller. With multiple students going in and out of them.

"Sir, do you have your visitor card on you?", the butler asked, while turning to Oliver. He nodded and took it out, to show him. "Well that's good, do keep it safe, as that one is quite special", the Butler said with a smile.

"That one is particularly made for you, you can use it to access the rest of the facilities in Hoyaga Academy. Such as the cafeteria and the infirmary, on our right. And gym, pool, and the court on our left", he explained pointing at the respected buildings.

"Wow, to think I was going to throw this away", Oliver commented with a smile. "Well aren't you glad you didn't", Butler replied and Oliver nodded.

The cobblestone path went two ways, one for the buildings on the left and right which Butler led Oliver on.

Another marvelous piece stood in the center with a cobblestone path going around it. The statue is made up entirely of crystal ice underneath the beating sun. Cillian Hoyaga, written in bronze lettering in front of the platform underneath the statue.

The same-looking man as before, now standing up in a three-piece suit and was holding the inside of his coat with his right hand while the other one was in his pocket.

"This looks...understandable", Oliver said not sure what comment to give. "This statue is made by principal Nola herself. last memory of her father before his tragic death", Butler explained.

Other than the walls of the Hoyaga Academy taking on a miss-shapen rectangle, the final wall was made up of an iron fence and gate to go with it. Similar pristine metal was used in the making of fences and gates.

As soon as both men stepped in front of the gates, the mechanism in the middle of the gate unlocked itself. gracefully, the gate opened itself, revealing empty grassy land with only a single building standing in front of it.

"So you did come, well it was the obvious choice", said a sudden voice appearing from behind them. Turning their heads, Gwen appeared. Wearing a similar uniform as the twins, with her bright blue hair shining underneath the sunlight.

"Oh, Good morning, Lady Gwen", the Butler said bowing his head towards her, while Oliver just stared at her in silence. "Don't worry Arnold, you can take your leave, I will be taking him to the Nola", said Gwen in a prideful manner. "I see. Very well, then I will take my leave", the Butler said raising his head.

"Sure", said Gwen while the Butler turned around and started heading in direction of the infirmary and clinic building. Now Gwen looked at Oliver with a smirk, "Oh look, Mr. tight ass decided to come here anyway, huh", Gwen said.

While Oliver just gave her a faint smile and sighed, while turning around. Ignoring her, he quietly started walking towards the wide cylindrical building.

"Hey what are you acting high and mighty for!?", Gwen yelled Oliver annoyed by his attitude. While Oliver kept on walking silently toward the Council building.

[Sub-Ability Activated] [Barrier Creation...Platform]

A neon blue platform appeared in front of Gwen and she climbed on it. Soon she was speeding past Oliver while sticking her tongue out at him. But Oliver just smiles at her, while a sudden surge of energy emits from the ground.

Oliver could feel the core underneath the ground, beating like a living heart. It was not so far to say that this estate was a living one. Gwen smiled to herself, as she kept on staring at Oliver while she got further away from him.

But the moment looked away, the space warped, while Oliver gave his consent.

[Ability Activated] [Spatial Manipulation]

The platform stopped, she stared at Oliver waiting with a smirk expression on his face, in front of the building. She stared at him, then behind herself and back again at him, realizing what had happened.

"What are you grinning about, you didn't do anything", Gwen said, stepping off the platform which disappeared from behind her. She walked towards the Dream Wood gates of the council's building, they immediately opened by themself as she came close to them while Oliver quietly followed behind her.

Coming to a wide curved hallway, Oliver followed Gwen to the left of it. The hallway was illuminated by electrical lighting above their heads. The building itself was an unusual mix of Dream Wood exterior and modern concrete interior, painted over with shades of gray and green.

They came to an opening to the hall in the middle of the building, the Council's office. A stage in middle with a table for five curved inward from the front. On the middle chair sat the principal which had summoned Oliver, staring deeply at her laptop screen.

Nola appeared to fair look mature woman, with light blue hair tightened into a bun and wearing her glasses for aesthetics. As Oliver stepped inside, she looked up at him, pulling down her laptop screen.

"Ha, so you finally decided to come down here. The one that was causing all the trouble around our peaceful estate", Nola said pulling down her glasses, showcasing her eyes with a soft blue glow. "Peaceful? I was attacked last night as a welcoming gift by someone. You call that peaceful?", Oliver replied, asking the first thing on his mind.

Seeing their interaction, Gwen immediately asked, "Do you...two know each other?", while she came and stood close to the main table. But almost instantly both ignored her.

"We could have found out who it was, but the body that you cooked... Disappeared, hence we can't find out who he was", Nola said with a smile.

[Ability Creation] [Barrier Creation...Cube]

A blue neon cube appeared behind Gwen, on which she sat down crossing her arms and legs. "Fine, ignore me", Gwen said sulking in the corner.

"Well I am sorry for killing the man who tried to kill me", Oliver said with a courtesy smile, and that way both smiled at each other before coming back to their serious expressions.

"Anyway, miss Iris, sent us your particularly daring request", Nola said. Hearing this Oliver swallowed hard, "Okay, so found one, where is it?", he asked. "Wait, what are you two talking about?", Gwen said confused, while continued to be ignored. Nola sighed and pulled up her laptop screen.

"Well it's underneath you, I will just release it outside for you and you can have your way with it, then we will continue this conversation", Nola said looking back at her laptop. "Release it? What are you two talking about!?", Gwen said getting irritated with their attuite towards her.

"Alright", Oliver said looking at Gwen, "Come on let's go, Grover", he said turning around to leave. "Eh! Grover! how dare you!?", Gwen said standing up and following behind him while complaining.

Nola sighed as the youngster left the hall, she looked back at her laptop screen which also displayed visually from the outside. Her eye perked up, as she saw someone else coming towards the Council building.

...

Somewhere underneath the Hoyaga Academy. A headless carbon black humanoid stood frozen in a crouching position inside the ice. Standing at eight feet tall and insanely muscular. Right outside the Council building, the dirt morphed into a half-mile circular solid iron stage.

A jolt and it dropped on a solid steel circle outside, cracking and releasing the Hollow Darkness. As soon as the Hollow Darkness landed on the solid iron stage, its feet sunk into it due to its immense weight.

The headless neck started emitting black haze like a candle, as its body quickly came into motion.

...

The Hollow Darkness stood up and looked around while turning its headless neck. Only to spot a girl with crimson red hair approaching the iron stage. She was wearing Hoyaga Academy uniform without the coat and the tie, with her sleeves, rolled up to her elbows.

Her skin is slightly more pinkish and with a bob haircut. "What is...where did you come from?", she stopped as she noticed herself stepping onto the iron stage. While the Hollow Darkness, seeing her approach, extended one of his arms out.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Carbon Transformation... Carbon Blade]

Hollow Darkness's arm liquified, then quickly straighten out into a dense carbon blade. Seeing this Akane also quickly extended her right arm out.

[Activating Ability] [Bloodborne]

[Sub Ability Activated] [Blood Creation and Manipulation... Great Blood Blade]

She quickly changed into a redder shade, as her eyes turn blood-shot red. From the pores of her skin, blood seeped out, coagulating into an unusual solid abstract shape of a great sword. Just then Oliver and Gwen stepped outside. With Hollow Darkness standing slightly to their right, gave a clear view of the girl facing it.

"Oh, Akane is here... I don't think you will get a chance to...?", Gwen paused as she saw an unusual expression plastered across Oliver's face, a mix of happiness and sadness. Gwen looked at Akane who hadn't taken any notice of them, then back at Oliver who still had that look on his face.

[Ability Activited] [Weapon Creation...Analyzation]

...

Akane with a stoic expression, took the first step forwards, sprinting towards the Hollow Darkness. As it also pushed itself off the ground, while pulling its blade back, reading it for a swing, leaving behind a dent in the iron stage.

[Ability Activited] [Teleportation]

In a blink of an eye, Hollow Darkness appeared on the left corner of Akane. Akane's eyes flew to her left, as she pivoted all of her weight on her right foot and turned towards the Hollow Darkness. Grabbed the bottom of the hilt with her left hand and struck the incoming blade.

Sparks flew as both blades clashed with each other, while the force of the weight caused Akane's feet to skunk into the iron stage. But her Bloodborne's strength overpowered the weight of the Hollow Darkness strike, Pushing it back.

Hollow Darkness disappeared again and appeared behind Akane, stumbling back on its feet which skunked into the iron stage, while it pulled its arm back. Hearing it fall behind herself, she quickly twisted her body, turned around, and struck the Carbon blade upward.

[Carbon Transformation... Carbon Blade]

Immediately the second arm also liquified and turned into a Carbon steel blade. The Hollow Darkness struck it downwards, right at Akane.

She quickly released the blade with her right hand and brought her right arm up, right in front of the incoming blade.

[Blood Creation and Manipulation... Great Blood Shield]

Blood burst out of her forearm and formed into a lengthy shield, taking the blow straight on. The force caused the iron stage underneath Akane to cave inwards. But she only clenched her teeth and pushed back the Carbon Blade.

The force knocked back the Hollow Darkness Carbon Blade into the air, finally creating an opening. While Akane quickly brought her Great Blood Blade and aimed at the Hollow Darkness's chest.

Extra blood burst out of the Akane's hands into the Great Blood Blade, allowing it to extend forward.

The tip of the Great Blood Blade broke into the left side of the Hollow Darkness's torso. Hollow Darkness quickly got out of there, only taking the hit from the front. Appearing right on top of Akane in mid-air. Bringing both of its Carbon blades over its shoulder and crashed them onto the Akane.

She saw the incoming attack and pulled back her Great Blood Blade back into her hand and brought her great blood shield forwards with both hands.

This time Hollow Darkness won the clash, as Akane's stoic expression broke into pain. As the force pushed her down on her knee and causing the ground to break underneath Akane and turned upwards from the sides.

Akane grunted in pain, while she pushed herself up against the ground, bringing the great blood shield close to the Hollow Darkness.

[Blood Creation and Manipulation...Spiked Great Blood Shield]

In a jolt, multiple long spikes protruded out of the shield and stabbed the Hollow Darkness all over the torso and arms.

But before they could come through the Hollow Darkness, it teleported away from Akane. Leaving her breathing heavily and lowering her shield. Staring at the Hollow Darkness's cracked skin, which made emptiness inside the Hollow Darkness apparent.

But then suddenly, she stared at a black hair color stranger approaching the Hollow Darkness from behind. Wearing black dress pants and a white spotless button-up shirt, with its sleeves rolled up and collar open.

Akane stared at him in confusion, as he came and tapped on the back of the Hollow Darkness taking its attention. The Hollow Darkness turned around to look at him while ignoring the hazy gaze of the Hollow Darkness, a stranger walked toward Akane, with a warm smile and said, "I am sorry to intrude on the fight, but I will be taking it from here".

[Ability Activated] [Weapon Creation... Analyzation]

Oliver unbuttoned his suit and took it off and threw it to Gwen, "Grab on to this would you", Oliver said while he also unbuttons his sleeves, rolling them up to his elbows. "What am I, cloth hanger?", Gwen said grudgingly, taking his suit.

"Of course not, cloth hangers don't talk", Oliver replied walking towards the Akane and Hollow Darkness, while pulling down his tie and putting it into his pocket, and opening his collar button.

While Multiple long spikes protruded out of the shield and stabbed the Hollow Darkness all over the torso and arms. Just then he teleported back and dropped on the iron stage, while it bent underneath its weight.

The Hollow Darkness took a moment to collect itself and readied its Carbon blade arm for the next attack. But Akane spotted Oliver approaching the Hollow Darkness from behind.

He came and knocked on the back of the Hollow Darkness, which sounded like an empty shell. This caused the Hollow Darkness to stop and look back to see Oliver, who nonchalantly walk past it towards Akane.

Oliver smiled coming to her. "I am sorry to intrude on the fight, but I will be taking it from here", while Akane stared at him in confusion. Then Oliver turned around to face the Hollow Darkness which swang its Carbon Blade arm right at Oliver's face.

Oliver's perception of time slowed down, as he watched the incoming blade. The Similar golden gleam came over Oliver's body, while he brought up its shoulder and arm to block it.

The Carbon blade crashed into Oliver's Shoulder and arm. Cutting into his flesh and breaking his bones, reshaping his body around its Carbon Blade and launching him aside. Oliver's body went cartwheeling across the Iron stage, then crashed on the back and came back on his feet, dragging across the surface.

Oliver came to a stop with his arm going limp and his body visibly crooked, while taking a knee. Both Gwen and Akane's mouths dropped open in shock and awe, not believing that he was still smiling. Seeing Oliver being in a lot of pain while bleeding out of his shoulder and arm and his mouth.

But Oliver kept it in with a smile across his face. It wasn't instantly but quickly his wound started emitting visible heat, as his bones joined back together and his wound stitched themselves close.

Akane looked over to Gwen, who hinted to come to her. While the Hollow Darkness Teleported right in front of Oliver with his Carbon Blade raised in the air.

Oliver smiled, "Come at me fucking charcoal". As if understanding Oliver, the black haze emitting from its neck puff up. As he brought down it Carbon blade was right on Oliver's face. In the last second, Oliver moved his face out of its way and allowed it to fall on his collar bone.

The blade dug into Oliver's flesh and bone and reached his ribcage. Blood Didn't gush the right way, but slowly stained the White shirt red.

The force alone cause the iron to cave inwards, but Oliver held strong and kept the smile on his face. If not for his mother's amulet, Oliver would have been torn in half.

"What is he doing!? is insane!?", Akane said in concern for this stranger she had just met. "Don't know really, but Nola wants him to become an agent as well", Gwen said still holding on to Oliver's suit. "Well, he won't survive for long, like this", she replied.

For a brief moment, Oliver's smile dropped, with Darkness Hollow's Carbon Blade still stuck in his body.

"I have seen enough", Oliver said raising his right hand at Hollow Darkness Torso.

[Activating Ability] [Weapon Creation... Materialization]

A white circle warped open into Hollow Darkness's Torso and from inside, a black hilt came out towards Oliver's hand and he grabbed onto it. Then, Oliver just looked up at the Hollow Darkness with a bright green glow in his eyes.

Instantly, Hollow Darkness felt immense pressure from Oliver. Teleported back away from him in a panic. Reviling a 167 Centimeter Carbon blade mimicking one of its arms. 12 Centimeter thick from the top and going to its sharp edge, Oliver turned the blade downward and pushed himself up from the ground onto his feet.

[Materialization Complete]

[Weapon Name: "Awaiting Name"]

Oliver smiled, as his fresh wound started emitting heat and healing itself. While he brought up his newfound blade. Gwen and Akane stared at it in awe, while not knowing exactly what he had done, they knew that he has taken something from the Hollow Darkness.

"At last...Darkness", Oliver said with a smile.

Oliver Smile and looked at the Hollow Darkness, Which immediately came from his head. Teleporting right in front of Oliver's face, ready to cut it clean of.

Hollow Darkness slashed right across the open air, while Oliver appeared behind him. Turned the sharped edge of Darkness outward and turned around with a strike right at the Hollow Darkness's thigh.

With much effort, Oliver severed both legs of the Hollow Darkness from the thigh. Causing the creature to fall forward on the ground, caving it underneath him. Just then Oliver dropped on top of the Hollow Darkness's back with Darkness held with both hands and raised over his head.

With a swift movement, Oliver brought down Darkness right on the neck of Hollow Darkness. cutting to the center of his back and breaking into the iron stage blow. Finally, Oliver succeeded in exposing Hollow Darkness's core.

Hollow Darkness's both Carbon blades turned back into the normal arm, by which he tried to get himself back up. Quickly Oliver drove his hand into the broken body of Hollow Darkness and pulled out the Core and immediately the body of Hollow Darkness fell limp on the ground.

The core of the Hollow Darkness was a dark-gray spherical shell with an indented pattern all over it, which fit inside their palm of his. But Oliver really didn't care from the Core, turned around, and teleported off the Iron stage and onto the ground.
