Episode Four: Entomologist

[Ability Activated] [Chilopoda Creation and Manipulation...Giant Centipede]

The ground underneath the house broke apart and four Giant black Centipedes emerge, extending towards the sky. Oliver turned around to look at them, their never-ending bodies curving through the sky and turning towards them and coming down to attack.

They quickly separated, attacking everyone on the field. One immediately swiped down towards Oliver, opening its pincer at him.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Weapon Summoning] [Darkness]

[Weapon Ability Activated] [Teleportation]

Oliver Disappeared from in front and allowed it to pass, just before dropping on top of it and bashing down with the top of the Darkness. The weight alone crashed the creature's head, instantly killing it. But then Oliver smelled burning leather, seeing acid-like goo seeping out of the dead creature and melting his shoes.

Keeping that in mind, Oliver's eyes went straight at Akane and Gwen and the two Giant Centipede rocketing towards them.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Blood Creation and Manipulation... Blood Spikes]

Six Blood Spikes broke out of the ground, curving upwards like claws. They tore into the Giant Centipede and put a stop to them. Only for them burst out the green acid goo, out of their mouth.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Barrier Creation and Manipulation... Wall]

Gwen flinched, creating a neon blue barrier on instinct, stopping the acid from reaching them. On other hand, Nova after witnessing the Giant Centipedes emerging out of the ground. Brought his attention towards Gwen, then the one Giant Centipede swirling through the air towards him.

[Ability Activated] [Flames Creation and Manipulation... Hotstreak]

Nova's feet burst into Flames, launching him towards Gwen at extreme speed. Without giving mind to the Giant Centipede, heading towards him. Nova readied his fist.

[Ability Activated] [Flames Creation...Combustion Fist]

Nova's fist started bubbling upwards towards his elbow, Flames accumulating around his closed fist. The contact with the Centipede's open pincers caused a big fiery explosion. Blowing his head clean off and allowing Nova to get through.

A jolt and the extended Centipedes retracted at rapid speed. Oliver quickly jumped off his, while those who got stuck on the blood spike, got their head ripped off and left behind. Not to mention the one that nova left headless. Their heads started to shrink down until they disappeared.

[Ability Activated] [Hemiptera Creation and Manipulation... Giant Assassin Bug]

The ground broke from underneath Gwen and Akane, as a pair of legs burst out. Pulling out a long elongated dark green head with a narrow neck and an inverted tubular mouth. Its wings flattered to keep their balance, as its mouth straightened out, ready to stab through Gwen. Nova clenched his teeth, as his mind raced thinking of blowing the thing straight up. But then a quick second he saw Oliver appearing on top of Gwen.

In the blink of an eye, the Assassin bug's mouth went down and stabbed the ground. While Oliver appeared in front of Nova, dropping her to the ground wheezing in shock. While he turned to Nova. "Give me a boost!", he said and immediately teleported into the air with the Darkness ready in his hand.

The giant Assassin bug turned around to see its prey now behind it. Seeing him up in the air, Nova understood in a moment, as his hand went up at Oliver.

[Ability Activated] [Flames Creation and Manipulation... Fire Torrent]

The back of Oliver's suit burst into a violent torrent of flames, sending him rocketing at the giant Assassin bug. At the last second, he down his Darkness right through the spike-like extrusion on its back and cracked into its abdomen then broke into the ground. The Assassin's Bug popped like a balloon spraying a green liquid in the air.

Oliver fell to the ground, covered with his paralyzing poison, which instantly seeped into Oliver's skin causing paralyzing seizures. He fell to the ground unable to move and foaming from the mouth. Akane stared at Oliver's falling limb on the ground then quickly turned to Nova and Gwen. "Guy's, something happening to him!", Akane yelled.

But before she could get to Oliver, the Giant Assassin Bug started shirking and her eyes when to the man walking out of the ruins of the collapsed home, shaking his head. Nova immediately recognized the man with slick back blonde hair and buzzed around his temple.

"Oh no, this bad", Nova thought to himself. The man was wearing a black tank top and one hand in his dark blue shorts while dusting his hair off with the other one. Revealing tattoos of centipedes on his arm, spiraling down towards his hands. "What fuck is this? Why the hell did the Council send a bunch of children!?", he grunted at everyone.

"Never mind that, who are you?", Gwen said back with Akane looking back at Gwen and then at the man. "Huh?", the man said with a frown. Nova placed his hand on Gwen's shoulder, making her turn her head towards him. "Don't, that's Edgar Entomo", Nova said with wide eyes.

"Hey, you orange-looking brat. You are Taiyo's kid, right?", Edgar shouted from the other side of the field. "Who?", Gwen asked confusedly, while Nova pulled her back. "Let me speak to him", He said, while Akane stepped back from Edgar and Oliver.

"The Council sent us to find Jackle and bring him to them, it was just coincidence that the house got destroyed, so let us take that guy over there and...". Edgar's eyes switch to Akane, staring at her bloodshot eyes. Then he a smile came over his face, cutting off Nova, "Huh, the Bloodborne?".

[Passive Ability Activated] [Predatory Intimidation]

Akane reflexively brought her hands up, as fear struck her. But she held back activating her Ability. Then his eyes turn back to Nova with a wide smile. "Too bad she is here", He said and Nova understood at once that he wanted to kill Akane.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Pterygota Creation and Manipulation...Giant Killer Hornets]

Edgar's tank top bubbled and Nova yelled. "Akane! Don't fight him! Just get away from him! ", as the Black Killer Hornet buzzed out of Edgar's tank top. Dozen of them, growing to the size of a cat. A whole Swarm buzzed towards Akane, Nova, and Gwen.

Giant Black Hornets rushed towards Akane and Nova and Gwen. "No! that is so wrong", Gwen yelled in panic as she saw Giant blade-like stingers with wings approaching them.

"Akane, get out of the way", Nova yelled.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Flame Creation and Manipulation... Infernal Wave]

Nova stepped on the ground in front of him and causing it to crack inward. Then the cracks started spreading out in a horizontal line, from which Flames erupted.

Akane at the last moment placed the last Teleportation Crystal in her mouth, while she looked at Edgar. Who at the moment took his attention off the Infernal Wave and looked right back at her.

The Flames burnt through the Gaint Hornets making quick work of them. Also wrapping over Oliver's limp body, while no one paid attention to him.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Inscect Partial Body Transformation... Elytra]

[Sub Ability Activated] [Blood Creation and Manipulation... Great Blood Javelin]

Blood Seeped out of Akane's hand, taking the form of a single Javelin and then she bit on the Crystal.

[Tempory Ability Obtained] [Single use] [Teleportation]

She Teleported in the air over the Infernal Wave, ready to launch the Javelin at the Edgar on the ground. But he wasn't there anymore, she looked up seeing Edgar fly in the air with his fore and hindwings beating furiously.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Inscect Partial Body Transformation... Raptorial Legs]

Edgar's hands extended and morphed into two joined-shaped claws. While he burst forwards swinging at Akane. Who in Quickly brings up the Javelin across, blocking the attack. But Edgar tackled and took Akane across the ground. Uprooting the dirt with her back while he laughed maniacally.

Akane endured it while pulling her hand up against Edgar's chest.

[Sub Ability Activated] [Blood Creation and Manipulation... Blood Pillar]

[Sub Ability Activated] [Inscect Partial Body Transformation... Ovipositor Stinger]

[Sub Ability Activated] [Parasitic Insect Creation and Manipulation... Blood Flukes]

As blood seeped and collected between Akane's hand and Edgar's Chest. An Ovipositor Stinger grew from Edgar's shoulder plate, reaching to Akane's arm. Stunning her, while the blood pillar extended, shooting Edgar off her.

The stinger came out, leaving behind Blood Flukes, while Blood Flukes are parasitic flatworms that can not be seen by a naked eye. These were large dark red tendrils that quickly borrowed inside Akane's arms, causing immense pain.

While Edgar caught himself in the air with his Elytra and landed on his feet. Nova and Gwen panicked as they saw Akane screaming in pain while clenching her arm on the ground. Nova turned to Edgar who turned at him, shaking his head.

As suddenly Gwen squealed, causing Nova to quickly turn around. Seeing one of the Gaint Killer Hornets around her neck, pushing the stinger against her soft skin. "Ah, shit", Nova said, while Gwen closed her eyes in fear.

Nova turned back to him, "You bastard! Let them go!". Edgar shook his head, "No can do, man. I want nothing more than to kill the Bloodborne, if you don't comply then I will take one behind you too", he said.

While the Blood Flukes started to dig even further, forcing themself across her shoulders toward her chest. "I am sorry that it can't be a quick one", Edgar said as the Ovipositor Stinger retreated into his body.

Akane gripped her chest in pain and couldn't help but scream. As slowly the Blood Flukes made their way to her lungs and heart. "No...va" Gwen called out.

He turned to her, "Please...help... her", Gwen said scared stiff but still wanting Nova to save Akane. But Nova just stared at the Hornet around her neck, gritting his teeth, knowing full well that he was not about to do that.

...

Just then Akane's screams started to die down, as blood started clogging her throat. Due to the Blood Flukes digging into her lungs and soon her heart. Due to her high endurance, the pain was not enough for her to pass out, causing her to live through the pain. While Nova helplessly watched without any other option.

[Hidden Ability Activated] [Bloodborne...Ram....]

Edgar smiled only growing at the thought of succeeding in killing the last Bloodborne. He completely forgot about the one other person lying on the ground. Hearing her screams, jolted Oliver awake in fear of his nightmares repeating themself. While the poison inside his body lost its effect, he picked himself up from the ground with the help of the Darkness.

Edgar's eyes shifted towards the person he has forgotten about till now. "Oh yeah, that guy, but he shouldn't be able to move", Edgar thought to himself. While Oliver got to his feet and looked Edgar in the eyes.

Sudden weight rushed through Edgar's body, as he felt overwhelming fear. But then Oliver vanished in front of him. "What...where did he...", before Edgar could finish that thought he fell into darkness.

The ground disappeared from underneath him and his body floated at the moment. It took him a solid second to get what was going on. "Oh, I get it", He thought as started to realize what had happened. That person who had just gotten up had smashed his eyes inwards, causing him to go blind.

He sighed, "Well fuck, next time I guess", he thought.

[Ability Activated] [Insect Creation and Manipulation...Dimensional Roly-poly]

...

Oliver swung the back of the Darkness right into his eyes. Bashing his eyes inwards along with his skull. Causing his body to fall backward, next without skipping a beat. Oliver teleported to the other side, switching his stance. His feet skunked into the ground, as continued the motion with the Darkness, uprooting the ground and cracking into his like a baseball bat.

His spin twisted and broke around Darkness, as the force shot him forwards into the air. Oliver again teleported on the top of Edgar's body, bringing the top of the Darkness down on his upper back. The weight shot them both down and the Darkness went through Edgar's back and chest. Everything fell on the ground, breaking into it.

Immediately everything fell into silence, as Nova and Gwen were left with their jaw hanging. It only took Oliver a few seconds to dispatch one of the strongest [Shifter] of this time. The Hornet fell from Gwen's neck, shirking into nothing. Now Edgar lay there out cold and catching his breath, Oliver stood up.

...

Oliver looked at Akane, who was still wounded and suffering in pain. He teleported in front of Akane, sitting down and using his free arm to grab her waist. He pull her towards himself gently and she grabbed onto his suit in pain. He teleported himself and her beside Nova and Gwen.

Letting go of Darkness, Oliver pulled a Dark green crystal out of his suit's pocket. Putting it inside Akane's mouth, making her bite on it it.

[Tempory Ability Obtained] [Single use] [Regenration]

The Crystal disintegrated in Akane's mouth. The pain started disappearing, along with her wound, allowing her to speak and breathe again. She coughed up the remaining blood caught in her throat and looked up at Oliver.

"All good?", he asked, as pulled out his napkin and handed it to her, to wipe her mouth. She nodded letting go of his suit while not knowing what to say and politely taking the napkin. Oliver stood up, then turned to Gwen, "Did Nola tell you? About him being here?" Oliver asked hinting at motioning towards Edgar.

"Wh...what no, of course not", Gwen said all flustered. While Oliver sighed and helped Akane to her feet. "I see, then that's all good... For now, you three should try to take better care of each other", Oliver said as he took a step back. Reached his out for the Darkness, as its handle leaped up from the ground into its hand.

Akane tried to stand up but felt strength leaving her body and ready to fall. Just then Gwen grabbed a hold of Akane, supporting her. Seeing her worried, Akane wrapped her arm around Gwen's shoulder. "I will be alright, so don't worry", Akane said in a low voice. Causing Gwen to tear up.

"No you're not, we need to get you to the infirmary", Gwen said in a panicking tone. Nova looked at the body of Edgar which hadn't Crystalized, then at Oliver. Thought to himself, "He might be a problem". Just before the Oracle pulled them back out of the [Other World], thanks to the ID cards.

They appeared outside the Council building, in the main hall, the moment appeared. Oliver's eyes came to a stop on Akane, seeing her in pain and bearly able to keep herself together. After all this time, it turns out that he still had not pulled himself together and still allowed her to get hurt.

Everyone turned to Oliver, seeing him staring at Akane. As if he was about to say something, but instead he teleported and appeared back into his apartment. Darkness vanished from his hand and fell onto the ground. With his Will tired, he lay there in silence, slowly feeling his body coming closer to falling apart.

...

[New Orleans/ Hoyaga Academy/ Principle Office]

Principal Nola was on her chair, in front of her desk, as always. Busy with her daily routine, when suddenly in front of the window behind her, fire manifested on the ground. Quickly spiraling upwards, taking the form of a man in a green bathrobe.

She sighed and pretended to ignore him. While Tim walked in front of the desk towards the sitting area. Pulling his mess of long blond hair out of his face, which almost reached his upper back. "You are too cruel, Nola", Tim said as he walked in with his slippers and sat down on the sofa. "What are you doing here, shouldn't you be at the meeting?", Nola asked still looking down at her papers.

"I am, I am, like always. Anyway, I thought you would like to know the children came back with Akane bearly alive. It turns out they encountered Edgar rather than Jackel", Tim said putting his feet up on the coffee table. Nola looked up at him, "I see, I am sorry to hear that", then went back to her work. "I did send Casper's child with them, so I wasn't too worried", Nola also added.

"Why is he here, Nola?", Tim suddenly asked causing Nola to look up again. "Tim? You know I don't like getting disturbed while I am working", Nola said squinting her eyes in irritation. "No, I am asking you why you think he is here?", Tim asked getting up.

"Better yet, let's rephrase that", Tim said walking in front of Nola's desk while Nola stared at him intently. "Who's side do think he stands on he sure ain't on Hoyaga Academy's or Council's side, nor with any other families. And of course, the God's Temple hasn't made a move in decades. So who does that leave?" he said with a smile.

She sighed, "What do you know?". Tim's eyes perked up and brought his hands together. "Perhaps, a thought for a Prayer?", Tim said with a salesman man smile. "No, keep what you know to yourself", Nola said with an irritated face.

Tim brakes in a frown, "Suit yourself, you'll regret it I tell ya", Tim says as he turns around and leaves the office.

...

Meanwhile in the [Otherworld]

A blond-haired man, wearing a dark blue trench coat walks up to his house on Cranium Hill. Seeing it destroyed in the aftermath of a battle, which only left behind the mangled corpse of a friend.

"Man, I trusted you when I left you here. What fuck happened to my house", Shin said angrily at the corpse. At that moment a Roly-poly, the size of an adult's hand, rolled out of its chest cavity and unwinded itself, coming to stand still, as a normal pair of hands came out of its smallmouth.

Pushing the mouth apart, he enlarged the cavity, enabling a grown man to crawl out of the small bug. As he pulled himself out of the Roly-poly, it shrank back nothingness. Edgar stood up fully naked and stretched his arms.

"Fuck...me man," he said while relaxing his body and looking at Shin. "So what happened", Shin asked. "A fucking blackhead caved in my eyes in, I was so dame close in killing the Bloodborne", Edgar said gritting his teeth and walking towards the broken house.

"A blackhead?", Shin asked also following him. "Yeah, he had a huge blade and could Teleport. Seriously, what the hell are the kids watching these days", Edgar replied. "A blade? So he let you live", Shin said. Edgar stopped and looked at him, "What?".

"Come on, he had a blade and If he wanted to kill you he could have gone neck", he replied and Edgar just stared at him as if that thought hadn't occurred to him. A twisted grin formed on Edgar's face, filled with anger, "Oh, right, fuck you then! Why don't I go over to that dame school and kill that fucker!", he grunted.

Shin placed a hand on Edgar's shoulder. "Calm down man, it's not our time to make a move yet... Rather it's Sai's turn, who's gonna go first since a fragment of I.T had resurfaced. The same one that killed his daughter and the same one that the bloodborne killed. And if he learns that you have tried to kill that girl, he won't care if you are an ally or not. He will kill you", Shin said with a serious face.

"Whatever", Edgar said shrugging his hand off. Next, they quietly made their to the broken house, to go back to the human world.
