Chapter 67

When I open my eyes, I'm inside a different room than my inn. Oh, yeah. The Godwin family invited me to sleep in their palace.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Lord Jacob, are you still asleep?"

"No. I'm already awake. What's up?"

"Breakfast will start in an hour, my lord."

"Of course."

I get up from the bed and walk toward the bathroom. I take a quick bath, put on a new set of clothes, and get out of the room where I can see a maid waiting for me.

"Lord Jacob, please follow me."

"Very well."

I don't think I can get used to the title of Lord. Because I will soon be the future queen's husband, that title will stick with me. The maid led me to the dining hall, where I could see the royal family, except Sialeeds, already inside.

The maid let me sit next to Ferid and Freyjadour. From what Sialeeds say, I'm above Freyjadour in rank, which is why I will sit next to the Lord Commander but not after the prince. I don't really know the politics of the Royal Family.

"How is your night, Jacob?"

"I'm doing fine, Ferid. I slept like a log."

"Bwahahahaha! That's good because you need that energy."

"Please don't tell me there will be more political feasts."

And my answer is his laugh. I can only sigh and accept my fate. Too many people were licking my boots to curry favor from me. Especially the woman that will come to the feast. Their thick perfume bothers me to no end.

Even someone in their forties comes to me with a sultry smile and low-cut dress to seduce me. Did they not know I was supposed to be betrothed to the Princess?

I release another sigh and look at Freyjadour.

"How are you, Frey? Are you doing alright?"

"En. I'm doing fine, Jacob."

"How's your training?"

"Doing great! My teacher said that I'm continuing to grow, and soon I can be considered a Captain in terms of power."

"Really?"

I look above him and see that Freyjadour has already reached level forty-two. Is he a prodigy or something? Well, I guess that is as expected. He is the Protagonist of this part of the world, after all.

I smile a little when I see Freyjadour look away with a blush on his face. I shake my head and look around for a second before saying.

"I wonder. Where's Sialeeds?"

"Ah, Aunty Sialeeds is not a morning person, Jacob."

"Oh? Really?"

"Yup. This morning, she unconsciously slapped the servant who tried to wake her up."

"Slap?"

"Yup."

I look at Freyjadour for a few seconds before nodding my head. At the beginning of the game, I just remembered that Sialeeds is not a morning person, and her hand will fly to any offender who dares to wake her up before her time.

"Should I wake her up? She will be late for breakfast."

"If you want to do that, sure."

I look at Ferid, who looks at me with a smirk.

"However, don't blame us when you get slapped."

Ferid then looked at the nearby servant before saying.

"Take him to Sialeeds' room. He will be the one waking her up."

The servant bowed to me and led me to Sialeeds room, opposite my room's hall. When we arrive, the servant talks to the servant standing in front of the room, and I can see her nodding her head and then opening up the door for me.

I give her my thanks and walk inside the room where I can see Sialeeds sleeping. I sit on the bed and take out my wand. I flick my wand and cast a spell that many mothers cast to wake up their children for breakfast.

I smile a little when I see her open her eyes slowly. Her eyes looked around for a few seconds before staying on me.

"Urgh. Let me sleep for a few more minutes."

"No, can't do Sialeeds. It is time for breakfast."

"Urgh. I will join you for brunch."

"Na-ah. Come on, you need to wake up and take a bath."

"Urgh. Fine."

She sat down on the bed and looked at me for a minute.

"What?"

"Get out."

"Huh?"

"I need a bath."

"Oh, right. I will wait for you outside. I will call the servant to help you."

"Urgh."

I laugh a little at her grumbling and walk outside, where I see the servant looking at me.

"You can go inside and help her take a bath. I will wait here."

The two servants quickly get inside the room to help Sialeeds. I wait fifteen minutes before the door opens, and I can see Sialeeds ready to go.

"Come on then."

"Yes, your highness."

"Urgh."

I laugh a little at her discomfort and walk with her to the dining hall. When we arrive at the dining hall, I can see the shocked expression of the royal family. I give them all a smug smile as I walk to my seat.

When I take a seat, Freyjadour looks at me and says,

"How?"

"Magician never reveals his secret."

"She did not slap you?"

"Nope."

"Kick you? Punch you?"

"Nope."

After that question, Freyjadour looked at me as if I were a legendary hero or something. We wait for a few more seconds before the Godwin family arrives in the dining room, and the food is served.

~Sometimes later~

It was at eleven in the morning for us to get into the ship. I look at the clean water of Feitas River and sigh a little. I will miss this world. This world is beautiful and has yet to be tainted by modernization.

I don't know which world I will be sent to next, but I know it will not be as beautiful as this one.

"Jacob! What with the long face?"

I look to the side and see Georg Prime standing next to me.

"It was nothing, Georg."

"Nothing, seriously?"

"Yup. Nothing."

"... Fine. You can keep your secret."

Both of us stay silent for a few seconds before I decide to say.

"Georg, do you believe in destiny?"

"No. Destiny is something that we forged with our own strength. We are our own destiny and no one can change that."

"Good."

I look at him for a moment before saying.

"Georg, when the time comes, can you protect Sialeeds and Freyjadour for me?"

"What are you talking about, Jacob? Is there something wrong?"

I keep silent and look Georg right in the eyes. We stay silent for a minute before he finally nods and says.

"I already swore to Ferid that I would protect them both with my life."

"Good. Protect them when I'm no longer here."

"Wait! What do you mean by that?! Jacob!"

I ignore him and walk inside the ship to my room. I know they are going to be okay with Georg by their side. I know Sialeeds will be okay.
