Chapter 10

Leo took Sienna through the cafeteria line, holding her hand the whole time. They made small talk while in the line, which seemed to take forever. The lunch lady greeted them with her lovely country accent as they reached the food.

"Hey, What'll it be kiddos?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"Umm, I'll have a cheese burger." Leo answered first.

"I'll have a cheeseburger as well, please." Sienna asked next, putting on a gentle smile.

The lunch lady nods, and gives them their food, along with a serving of fries and a juice to drink. Leo and Sienna wave bye and walk off.

"Where do you want to eat?" Leo asks, as they walk around the school with no specific destination.

"I dunno. Maybe we can eat on a staircase?"

"I don't see why not." Leo takes her hand and walks to the largest staircase in the school.

"This is the 'Grand Staircase'. It's the largest in the school, even though almost no one goes up or down it. Sometimes, though, couples come here to makeout in between classes. Luckily, it looks like no one is here." Leo explains, as he and Sienna sit down.

"O-oh. We don't have to eat here if people do that. Is there another staircase we can go to?" Sienna tried to stand up as she asked. But Leo pulled her back down by her wrist.

"Are you sure? People do come here, but on elective day they're normally occupied with...other....activities….." Leo slowed down near the end of his sentence.

"What other activities?" Sienna shoves a couple fries in her mouth.

Leo leans close to Sienna's ear, and whispers, "They have sex." Sienna jumps back, choking on her food for a moment. Then she widens her eyes after she calms down.

"They what?" She responds, covering her mouth while eating her fries. Leo only nods his head.

Leo and Sienna eat and make small talk for the rest of their lunch. Eating their food as they talk.

When lunch is over, Leo takes their trash from the stairs to the trash can down the hall. He gets back right when the bell rings. Almost as if it was all timed just right.

"We should get to class. Where are you going next?" Leo helps Sienna up and grabs her things.

"I have Journalism this afternoon. What do you have?"

"Cool, I have Journalism too. Do you know where it is?" Sienna shakes her head in response, "I can show you then." Leo takes her hand up the stairs, and through the winding hallways.

"Here we are, and right on time too," Leo was breathing heavily from how quickly they were moving. He didn't even realize it. He walked in the room hand in hand with Sienna. They sit down at a large desk near the window. There were 2 chairs and an empty notepad on the desk.

A few minutes later, the teacher walked in. "Hello students! I'm your teacher, Mr. Moore." He wrote his name in the white board in cartoonishly large letters.

The entire class, with the tone of about 10 zombies said in almost perfect unison, "Hello Mr. Moore."

"Today, we're gonna work on interviewing our partners, even if you know nothing about them," he starts handing out half sheets of paper, "These papers have the standard interview questions, with a randomly generated topic. And you can make up an answer for today if you would like. However, you shouldn't lie in an interview." He finished giving out the papers and quickly went to his desk.

The class stayed quiet for a few moments. Then Mr. Moore instructed, "Go ahead, this is an in-class assignment." Then the class erupted in chatter. Sienna looked at the paper first, and saw their topic; Job interview.

"Question one, Tell me about yourself," Sienna grabbed the notepad and a pen from her bag. She prepared to write down whatever answer Leo gave her.
