"Scott! Give it back!" An almost childlike voice shouts angrily but he laughs at the person who dances clumsily on the sidewalk.

This childlike voice belongs to Lucas Kage, a pureblooded demon essence user. His parents are Irza and Dalmar who have worked for the demon kings for centuries. Lucas' parents wanted him to live in Erebus so they gave him a more modern name, along with a last name that demons don't usually inherit.

Scott and him have been best friends for a very long time.

"No! I want to know what you're learning in class these days, I have to make sure they're teaching you right." Scott says as he opens the heavy books of algebraic equations.

"Scott," the other boy, Lucas, sighs. "Give me my book back or I'll get Hannah."
