Aoki vs Chongyun 1 

"This will be a two-on-two match, are you, ready boy !!"

"I am ready !" Somehow Aoki felt like his intent to battle had increased since he saw Chongyun.

[He is projecting his intent on to you] Darkrai said sensing the change in Aoki.

'So I am getting influenced by his projected aura…. My control is truly a mess'

Chongyun detached a Pokeball from the 6 Pokeballs on his belt and looked at Aoki.

Both of them threw their Pokeball at the same time and released their Pokemon.

~Chammp !!~

~Nidoo ~

Aoki's Nidorino and Chongyun's Machamp appeared on the field flexing his muscles.

'Peak of master level…but I don't think it would be easy as I am sure he will use aura ' thought Aoki.

If Aoki wanted he could have an easier time in this match with his newly evolved Pidgoet or Victreebel but he wanted to sharpen his Pokemon's close combat skills so he sent out Nidorino.

"Nidorino workup and horn attack"

"Machamp bulk up and bullet punch "

Boom!

Both the Pokemons disappeared from their place and clashed in the middle of the field.

Machamp's punch and Nidorino's horn clashed creating a small shockwave.

'His horn is hard, that punch would have done more damage otherwise' thought Chongyun analyzing Nidoirnoo.

"Machamp low sweep and seismic toss "

Machamp kicked the legs of Nidorino disbalancing him and lifting him up for a seismic toss.

"Nidorino earth power"

Before Nidorino could be tossed, the ground below Machamp exploded with ground-type energy dealing damage to Machamp.

Machamp coated his body in as much fighting energy as he could to minimize the damage and created distance between Nidorino and him.

"Nidorino poison rush"

"Machamp protect"

Nidorino kicked the ground and crashed into Machamp while Machamp crossed his arms and combined with Protect to guard against the attack.

In spite of Machamp using Protect to save himself but the 'Poison point ' ability of Nidororino combined with the high toxic level of the poison, Machamp go poisoned.

Nidorino's poison had gotten stronger to a point that a master-level Pokemon would fall under the next 5 minutes so Machamp had to hurry if he had to win.

But Machamp had 'guts' ability too that would raise the attack of the Pokemon when inflicted with a status condition.

"Machamp close combat "

'I need to understand the move set and pattern of Machamp ' thought Aoki.

"Nidorino poison coat thrash "

Both of the pokemon started clashing in close combat with Machamp overpowering Nidorino with his superior speed and technique.

Both Nidorino and Aoki were trying to read Machamp.

Machamp knew many moves like Dual chop, counter, fire punch, ice punch, cross chop, and Dynamic punch that were dealing large damage to Nidorino.

Nidorino was continuously learning with his total focus and using various moves to lessen the damage like ice beam, poison sphere, earth power, and especially Counter that also did massive damage to Machamp.

Aoki was confused as to why Chongyun was not using aura but then he realized that as he was trying to understand the attack and command pattern of Chongyun, his attack pattern and commanding pattern was being analyzed too.

So this match was merely a trial to read each other, the main battle would be against his next Pokemon.

With another kick, Nidorino was sent crashing into one corner of the field while the arms of Machamp started glowing.

"Nidorino double team "

Immediately multiple after images of Nidorino formed in the field and attacked Machamp with a thunderbolt.

"Machamp focus blast"

Machamp disappeared from his place and within a second all the afterimages of Nidorino were destroyed.

Machamp picked up Nidorino and used seismic toss to slam him to the ground with full force and jumped on him with Mega Kick almost ending the match but Nidorino somehow moved away from the trajectory of the attack.

That didn't stop Machamp as he immediately used his next move to finish Nidorino.

Just as Machamp was about to hit Nidorino, he opened his mouth and used his strongest Hyper beam.

BOOM!

Machamp crashed at the other end of the battlefield.

His hands had turned black from the power of Hyperbeam.

'What technique and accuracy!"

Aoki was amazed by Machamp's ability to block the hyper beam without fainting.

His posture made and technique negated a lot of the power of the Hyperbeam that would knock out any master-level Pokemon.

But Machamp's time was over as the poison had done a lot of damage.

He staggered and fell to the floor and fainted.

This match made Aoki realize how terrifying of an enemy Chongyun was. Alex gave him a hard time but the pressure that Chongyun put on him was on a different level.

There were a lot of moments Aoki felt like Machamp was about to deal with massive edamame taking advantage of the hole in Nidorino's defense but Chongyun changed the command giving Nidorino time to react.

Throughout the match, the gym leader was smiling as if he knew what Aoki was going to do.

Aoki was sure that if Chongyun went all out, his Nidorino would have lost, and that was too much faster.

'This is what an experienced trainer looks like'

Chongyun took out a bottle of Full restore and fed it to Machamp before calling him back to his Pokemon.

"Good job boy !!!. I like you already !!!"
