Overwhelmed with Emotions

"Kuroo!" Kenma shouted with delight as he ran towards Kuroo arm out wide ready to embrace him in a hug. "What Kenma can't you see I'm busy?" "I did it," Kenma said gingerly. "Did what?" " I passed my chemistry quiz" Kuroo looked surprised for a minute and he was genuinely shocked at what he had just heard," You passed" he paused briefly, "you, Kenma passes a quiz" " yes I did, now can I have my Nintendo back" " no." " But I passed, please, give it to me and I'll go away"

" go away for how long" " Well I'm going to Shouyo's so the next couple of hours" Kuroo gave it some thought but after looking at how happy Kenma was his heart began melting and he finally gave in. " Fine, but only because you let me help you study" "yay" Kenma jumped into Kuroo's arms, he was warm and smelled like pine body wash, his arms hung around Kenmas neck like a long soft scarf that was made of the feelings of safety and comfort. Kenma's arms were around Kuroo's waist, it was like a reassurance that Kuroo still had a friend, and that feeling even though he never said it out loud was the reason he tolerated being around Kenma. Kenma knew that Kuroo did like him deep down and they were more than friends but not quite. After a few minutes, Kuroo let go and they said their goodbyes, Kenma ran off to go meet up with Shoyou and share the good news. About three hours later Kuroo emerged from his room and went downstairs to the kitchen where he found Shouyo and Kenma talking about how shocked Kuroo was that Kenma had passed, Kenma was happy for him but Kuroo was shocked, they laughed and didn't even notice Kuroo until he turned on the sink. " My goodness Kuroo could you give a little warning when you're creeping around," Bokuto said playfully, "whatever, why are you even here Bokuto," Kuroo said in his normal monotone voice as he went back upstairs with a bag of chips and a glass of water. Kenma could never tell what Kageyma was thinking just by looking at him. Kenma had invited him over and was willing to tolerate Bokuto for a while just so he could learn more about Kuroo. He always looked calm or happy, there were a few times when he looked upset. "Um, I think I'm gonna go to bed now Suga" "ok Kenma don't be late for practice tomorrow" "ok". As Kenma retreated up the stairs he couldn't help but wonder what Kuroo was doing, he passed his room and stopped outside his door. Kenma contemplated knocking or going to bed, Kuroo heard something outside of his door but he didn't think much of it until he heard Kenma's voice outside. "Hey Kageyama, no that's too casual, how about what's. up my main setter, no that is not me at all, oh maybe-``'' Kenma what are you doing?" Kuroo had opened the door, he was fed up with Kenma's Mumbling and wanted to know what his problem was." ohh Kuroo, um fancy meeting you here" Kenma's Thoughts- wow nice going, boke Kenma boke" " well it is my room" he could tell Kuroo was getting confused and he didn't want to start any drama so he just made up some random story as to why he was there then scampered off to his room locking the door behind him so he couldn't get out again to make a fool of himself. Kenma never socialized but now he was hanging out with Bokuto and actually engaging with Kuroo, Kuroo was so confused. Kenma had liked Kuroo for some time now but never knew if Kuroo felt the same way, he wasn't bold enough to tell him, and he definitely couldn't handle what seemed to be inevitable rejection.
