"How dare you," Scarlett said, shaking and spitting blood,
Scarlett reached for her sword but, couldn't reach it. Heath walked towards her, kicked her sword out of reach. He kicked Scarlett as she attempted to get up. She went flying right into a tree. Scarlett tried to get to her feet but couldn't.
"This is where it ends then. Goodbye, Scarlett." Heath said, lifting his sword in the air.
Before Heath sword could make contact with Scarlett, There was a loud smacking noise, a fist hitting pure flesh. Ash had just planted his fist right into the side of Heath's face, causing him to go flying backwards and hitting the ground unconscious, Buying them more time to assist Scarlett.
"Scarlett, are you okay? Breath, one, two, breath, Come on, you ain't dying on me like this." Ash said, helping Scarlett up.
"Ash, is she okay?" Jacklyn asked, aiding Heath.
"I'm fine, Thanks Ash," Scarlett gasped.
"Goodness sake, Ash, You knocked him clean out," Jacklyn said.
"He kind of deserved it. He was about to kill Scarlett, so I couldn't just stand there and watch. He'll come to, just give him a moment. I didn't even strike that hard." Ash replied.
Ash helped Scarlett to her wounds, applying pressure to stop the blood flow. Her stitches were cut, luckily her wound on her face had dried up. After a few moments, Scarlets's wounds began to stop bleeding or at least, slow down. Just as Scarlett was stabilizing herself, Heath woke up.
"Dad? Are you okay?" Jacklyn exclaimed as she helped him up.
"I'm fine. I don't need your help," Heath said, shrugging Jacklyn off him.
Heath got up, stabled himself and glared at Ash. This time Heath was majorly angry, You could see the veins popping out his head and his eyes grew with rage.
"Careful, your wounds are pretty bad. You don't want to injure yourself anymore," Jacklyn said, getting to her feet.
"I don't need patronizing okay? I am fine, I said. These wounds are nothing." Heath snapped at Jacklyn.
"I'm just trying to help, god." She said walking away.
"Now, Where were we? before I was interrupted." Heath snapped.
Heath drew his sword once more and went after Scarlett while she was unarmed. He was ready to slash her when Ash jumped in the way, taking the hit. He dropped to his knees, blood poured from his stomach onto the ground.
"Stupid, taking the fall.." Heath laughed,
"You attacked an unarmed woman. That's a pretty sad move if you ask me" Ash snapped, holding his wound.
"What are you going to do about it?" Heath said in an angry tone.
Ash turned his glare upwards, made eye contact with Heath, He smirked and pounced, right onto Heath's back.
"Get off me, you Hybrid, mutt, thing," Heath exclaimed as he tried to get Ash off him.
Ash remained on him, Clawing him to shreds. First, his back, face and collarbones, followed by a scratch to the neck. His back, face, neck and collarbones all covered in scrapes, scratches and cuts. Heath tried ramming himself into a nearby rock, trying to slam Ash off him, but nothing worked. Ash then took a huge bite out of Heath's shoulder, leaving a deep and horrible wound, pouring with blood. You could see the yellow fat, flesh and almost his bone. Ash spat the flesh from his mouth onto the ground. The more Heath moved, the more his wound bled. Heath slams himself into the same rock again, trying to still get Ash off him, but this time, Ash had curled his arms around Heath's neck, choking him, Curling his arms tighter and tighter.
Heath loses his balance and begins choking, He falls to the ground slamming right on top of Ash. They both become winded and injured. Heath pulls Ash's arms off him and climbers to his feet, leaving Ash on the floor in pain, struggling to breathe.
"Damn you, hybrid." Heath cocked as he walked away.
"Screw you, Heath. Are you just going to leave him there to die? Coward, Are you too scared to finish him off." Scarlett snapped.
"Well, you are alive. I'm shocked, I thought you would have died. You're no match for those wounds, you may have stopped the bleeding, but you know they will kill you eventually. You are just like your dad." Heath mocked.
"What do you know about him? You know nothing of him." Scarlett yelled at Heath.
"That where your wrong, kid. I know him probably better than you. I know, He used to hate the being you are, do you think he'd still love you now? look at you, He hated the being you are." Heath said.
Scarlett stood there shaking in rage., her fists were so clenched, her hands began bleeding from her nails. He stood there mocking her and smirking, he knew he was getting under her skin and he loved it.
"You see, I knew him very well in his, pre-fame life, you could say. He was very determined like you, and He was courageous and bold like you but, he was also stupid and dumb, that's what got him killed in the end." Heath said.
"You're lying, My father never spoke a word of you, and if he did, I would have remembered." Scarlett snapped, with tears running down her face.
Heath tutted to himself and smiled, followed by him shaking his head in disbelief. Jacklyn walked over and stood next to Scarlett with Ash around her shoulders.
"Ew, Jacklyn, put that flea-bitten dog down. Come stand over here, darling, The show is about to get interesting" Heath laughed.
Jacklyn dropped Ash behind Scarlett and went to stand beside Heath.
"Ash? Ash? Are you okay? Ash?" Scarlett cried, shaking Ash vigorously.
"Oh, behave yourself, he's fine, for now. Just let him die." Heath snapped.
"Let him die? How could I let someone I care about, die? That's stupid." Scarlett snapped, rising to her feet.
Scarlett's eyes flashed bright red and she began baring her fangs at Heath.
"Now, now, vampire, calm down. You don't want the same fate as your daddy, do you?" Heath mocked.
"What do you know about him? He died when I was a little kid, went out and never came back home. We were told he was murdered, What do you know?" Scarlett growled.
"I know a lot more than you think, I was his friend at once. He knew I was a hunter, he knew I killed vampires, like you. One thing I do remember is that you guys are almost identical in your fighting abilities. He always protected you, like you was a tiny gem. Your mother thought he was stupid and a coward for wanting to start hunting, but little did she know, he already was. Who do you think taught me?" Heath explained.
"You knew Scarlett's father? But she barely knew him herself?" Jacklyn questioned.
Heath turned to face Jacklyn and nodded. Jacklyn turned her attention to Scarlett, whose face was bright red with rage, fangs out, blood coming from her lip from biting it, eyes red, hands dripping blood from her nails and purple veins popping out her forehead. She was the maddest, she had ever been.
"Heath, I suggest you stop. She's getting mad. Like very mad." Jacklyn said,
"Why? Are you scared of a little vampire?" He asked,
"No, not at all. Just I've never seen her this mad." Jacklyn said, swallowing her words.
"He used to have everyone at his knees, People loved him, and he loved people. Fame got to his head real quick when he got the title of the legendary hunter. It happens to a lot of people. I don't think its anything very special, just some words. As soon as he got his title, I just kinda disappeared out of his life, like I didn't matter. I felt, betrayed, used. He didn't care for anyone but himself. He trained me, I got good, he got his title and that was that. He was a coward." Heath said getting angry at his own words.
"So, how did Scarlett get the title and not you? Surely, you should have it too?" Jacklyn questioned.
"No, only one person can have it at a time. Scarlett was automatically given it when her dad died. She didn't know she was a hunter, but I knew her father wanted her to be. There was a reason, which I can't tell you. I may be a bad guy, but I keep my promises. I could have the title, but I chose to decline it and pass it on to my student Manson, he deserved it. You could say, it was taken from Scarlett, so Scarlett took it back. I didn't see a purpose in having it, after all, its just words. Its kind f funny, how clueless your mother was Scarlett. Really, she had no clue your father was a hunter and that he wanted you to be one. I remember when he brought you out hunting one day. Stupid of him." Heath explained.
A few moments later, Ash woke up, gained his strength to stand.
"What's going on? Scarlett? Why are you all, mad?" Ash questioned.
"Just in time for the final reveal Ash, Perfect," Heath said.
Ash glared at Heath and Heath back to Ash. Followed by Jacklyn looking at Scarlett, who was madder than ever. She took a step back, it looked like Scarlett was about to explode in rage.
"I must admit, he put up a good fight though, Kind of like you, Scarlett," Heath said.
"What do you mean? put up a good fight? You were there when he died?" Ash questioned,
"Yeah, I was. He was a Strong-willed man, Very noble. He died of his injuries though. Old age got to him I suppose or, protecting his daughter and not training, No idea. All I know is that when he betrayed me, I felt so bad and angry, I knew there was one option left. He threw everything away, he thought because he had this title, he was all big and mighty." Heath said, running a finger down Scarlett's face and through her hair.
"What did you do to him, Heath." Scarlett snapped grabbing his hand off her face.
"In the end, I killed him. I couldn't let him live using me, using others, abusing his powers like that. He had a whole world at his feet. Everyone bowed down to him and all he cared about was hunting, his title and his stupid damn daughter, You. I think its only fair, you meet the same fate he did. After all, you are the same blood and same flesh. Heath said pulling his hand back.
