An Ordinary Day

Jane Belle Myers is a not so ordinary girl enjoying her not so ordinary life. The 24 year old, tall brunette is daughter of the famous Myers family. The Myers are known for having an abundance of various companies and businesses in different categories such as fashion, entertainment, vehicles, and much more. Jane's parents, Richard (nicknamed Rich Richie) and Lily are the owners of the Myers Industries. Since Richard and Lily are getting old, they are determined to find Jane a good husband, despite the fact that Jane herself, does not find any man husband-material.

"Jane, the next one is here!" Lily, Jane's mother, shouted from the first floor. "Just stop it! I don't want to marry yet!"

Jane's mother rolled her eye and told the man, "Don't mind her, she'd be crazy to not like you."

The man smiled and confidently walked upstairs. Once he reached Jane's room, he made sure his outfit is okay, his hair is groomed, and sprayed extra cologne. He then gently knocked on Jane's room thrice. "Come in, I guess." Jane said, clearly displeased.

The man got in and began to introduce himself, "Good ev-" he was cut off by Jane's sharp and straightforward words, "Not interested, next!"

Flustered and a bit annoyed the man complained, "What? Why? How could you not like me?" Jane stayed quiet but with a mischievous smirk on her face. The furious man continued, "I'm so tall, and handsome, look at my silky, smooth, jet black hair! My strong but not so buff physique, my shiny brown eyes, long, sharp nose, and soft lips! Not to mention my fair skin, what is there not to like?" The man was as red as a tomato, and was out of breath.

"Alright, I'm interested, what's your name?" Jane asked, this was the first time a man had ever talked back to her, most men just walk away sadly. Jane liked the confidence, sassiness, and certainty the man had.

After taking in a few breaths and calming himself down, "Michael, Michael Olsen." He said, with a proud smile.

"You're quite cocky, I like it." Jane said, walking towards Michael. They shook hands and exchanged numbers. As Michael was about to leave the room, "Wait, Michael, I've got a question."

Curious, Michael stopped and closed the door slowly. "Why do you want to marry me? Parents arrangement? True love? What is the reason?" Jane asked, back at it again with the mischievous smirk.

Once again flustered, Michael blurted out, " Truthfully, it is because my parents forced me too, but after knowing more about you, I did get interested, and though I am not in love with you right now, I'm sure after spending some time with you I will be."

"I like your honesty, you may leave." Jane crossed her arms, her smirk still visible on her face.

Michael went out and Jane's mother went in, "How'd it go?"

"I choose him, but don't rush to marriage, give us half a year to get to know each other."
