Ningen no hifu no akuma (demon in human skin)

In a rather dark alley somewhere in Japan a youth that attended school with a rather famous group. Had died due to a bunch of bullies violently slamming his head into a wall. The youth had short messy brown hair, a hazel eye, a rather pale complexion, and noticeably missing his left arm and right eye. He had died due to a large gash on the right side of his head after being left alone by his chuckling killers, who mockingly said rude remarks as they left. This unfortunate youths body twitched slightly once a red like glow shortly enveloped it. For almost a minute before finally fading away leaving the body to twitch a couple more times.

After a good two minutes the youth sat up with a groggy look while he subconsciously reached out and touched the still wet gash on his head. Looking around he eventually realizes he is in some alley and there is blood here and there from the gash on his head. After a few more minutes of sitting there with a blank look he finally started to focus on something, before his eye that had slightly changed colors to an orangish hazel color.

『Sorry sorry you were a bystander in the fight between me and my sister so as an apology I sent you to the first world I saw in your memories! Nothing special though, you'll have the same mentality, it matches with your new body as well, as before. Just there was a problem with the whole relocation of your soul. Questioning what the hell the whole message meant he noticed a strange book attached to his belt that looked to be a strange mix match of leather stitched together. Along with almost fiery glowing gold letters spelling out "Chimera-nomicon" in a strange cursive style of writing on the front cover with a symbol of the Greek chimera from mythology. Touching the book with his bloody fingers as they trace along it the book seemingly growls softly in response to his touch.

???: "Hey Chi…"

Deciding to remember the details later the youth gets up and takes his leave. Heading to the one place that he can currently remember living at. After walking around for a bit with people giving him strange looks or well disgusted ones with some trying to call for help. He really didn't want cops or a hospital. He finally arrived at the house of a family that had taken him in for a bit after coming here from America.

After coming here he got stuck in an unexpected name change situation by the government. His name is Dakota Vargis however, the government somehow named him Akuma Hōhei. Which if you read it the American way it translates to Artillery Demon, yeah he honestly doesn't know how the old host had that happen. After he reached the home of the Nagumo family, which is pretty active in the anime industry, he headed inside to go find some of the bandages in his room. Having an arm stump that gets torn open every so often from waking and night terrors from the memories on how it was lost. Had made the previous host to often claw at it enough that it'd bleed and so bandages were made a common item he had on hand or stored away in his room.

While he was heading to his room though he ran into Sumire Nagumo, who was apparently home after working till the current seven pm as displayed by a clock in the hall. She looked at him blankly for a few minutes before silently leading him to his room and getting his medical bag from his desk that was littered with gun parts being made. While she treated the gash on his head while they sat on his bed she casually asked him some rather off putting topic.

Sumire: "So did you get beat up, for hitting on some hot girl~? Who's the lucky girl?"

Akuma: "No, I got my head bashed into a wall by some rude pricks for not having an arm or eye."

Sumire: "Again? That's the tenth time this week and it's only Monday...."

Akuma: "Eh it's fine they're just acting important because they have no real worth as a person. Got stroke their flaccid dicks that will never meet a pussy somehow."

Sumire: "Don't talk like that young man!"

Shrugging his shoulders the youth stared blankly at his desk while shifting through the memories available to him. Its how he can casually act so normal since the old host apparently had the very same speaking pattern. While looking through the memories of the dead Hōhei he shifted through the broken memories about the book on his belt that is occasionally vibrating. After a while Sumire had finished treating his head she looked down and saw the book at his waist raising an eyebrow at it.

Sumire: "Interesting book where did you find it?"

Akuma: "Found it in a box labeled junk and it's pretty interesting since the author seems to have made his own Chimera's. Guess he was fascinated enough with monsters that he came to love the concept of a creature like the Greek mythology Chimera."

Sumire: "Why do you keep picking up weird stuff... Anyways it's already late and the boys ate everything sorry. So go to sleep for now and in the morning we'll have a big breakfast before you and Hajime go to school okay?"

Akuma: "Roger that, sleep well ms. Nagumo unlike last night where your husband thought you were a meat bun and tried eating you."

Sumire: "Please don't bring that up... Well anyways goodnight."

Watching her, the youth got up from the bed and headed to his desk. Grabbing a gun part he studied it. Getting what gun it's supposed to become he sat at the desk and assembled a rather futuristic revolver. The book on his waist helping him to make it a little MORE than normal. The remaining gun parts were for another gun he knew pretty well, HK417. His favorite kind of marksman rifle. Finishing up what is a revolver side arm though he leaned back looking at the gun. The book on his waist gives a more in-depth analysis on the weapon.

Storing the gun into a hidden pouch inside of his bag Akuma got up. Walking back to bed he flopped onto the bed and just fell asleep once he hit the bed, his mind still actively shifting and sorting the memories. The book on his waist fixing and defragging memories. Tomorrow though he shall have a rather interesting time and question his luck on events playing out.
