Mindy's Birthday Party

Carlos and Hannah finished their shopping that night. When they got home, they saw Mindy holding a white kitten. Mindy was eager to show off her new friend. "This is Wesley's birthday gift to me. His name is Annabelle. He's also a little girl!"

Hannah laughed. "So did you learn to take care of it, Mindy?"

"Of course. We went to the pet shop today. I recorded a lot of things. I can take care of it. And Annabelle is very obedient. She is very smart and can learn it immediately," Mindy said proudly.

"Okay, then let's see what you've learned." Mindy immediately took Hannah to see the little nest in her room and the cat litter in the bathroom, explaining their use and the choice of cat food and how much to feed each time.

Carlos put the purchased ingredients in the kitchen and Wesley went over to help. Carlos asked, "This cat looks familiar?"

"It's the cat that originally belonged to Casey. He went back yesterday and picked up Annabelle," Wesley said.

"Oh, it seems that you like this cat very much too!"

"Of course, I've been feeding them all the time, and Annabelle likes me a lot. It just so happens that Mindy wants a kitten, so she might as well bring Annabelle directly to the house." Wesley thought for a while and said, "However, I saw that someone was following Barry and Casey, so I put on makeup and went into Barry's apartment to steal Annabelle out."

"Do they want to know you through Barry and Casey?" Carlos asked, looking up at Wesley.

"That's the only possibility, but I don't have any contact with them. It's impossible to understand me. They are just doing useless things. Besides, it's easy to find out about the three of us. They should have given up soon."

Father and son began to cook, while Mindy was still introducing the things to take note of with a cat, and Hannah was giving advice.

Over dinner, Hannah asked, "Carlos, how about we throw Mindy a birthday party?"

"Of course, but Mindy has just started school. Mindy, have you made friends at school?" Carlos turned to ask Mindy. The birthday party needs guests, and Mindy has just started school. Carlos is worried that Mindy won't be able to invite anyone.

"Yes, I have a lot of friends. Jessica, Jennifer, and Lucy are all my friends." Mindy nodded and said. It seemed that she was very happy in school. They were all in their early teens. They were not old enough to be scheming or in love, so Mindy was getting along well with her female classmates.

"That's good. The birthday is Saturday. You can send invitations to your friends. It's up to you whether we go to the yacht or stay at home." Carlos saw that Mindy had friends to invite, so he agreed decisively. "Wesley, you should prepare in advance!"

"Okay, no problem. What would Mindy like to eat?" Wesley asked.

"Anything. I like everything. But… I want to ask my friends what they like. Is that okay?"

"Of course. We have to entertain guests. You can ask when you go to school. Anyway, it's Saturday. I'll go to the club tomorrow to inform them to prepare the fuel and fresh water and gas for the yacht."

Early Saturday morning, Wesley drove out to do some shopping, and Mindy began to dress up under Hannah's lead. Wesley arrived at the Yacht Club first, followed by Mindy, Carlos, and Hannah. They were going to wait for Mindy's friends at the door of the Yacht Club.

The parents of the children were responsible for seeing them to the door of the club, and then Mindy greeted them one by one, and then they came to the yacht together. The parents would not be involved, and Carlos, Hannah, and Wesley acted as chef and driver.

When everyone was here, Wesley started the yacht and headed directly out to sea, while Mindy and the children gathered in the living room on the yacht's main deck.

"Mindy, your yacht is great. It's much bigger than mine." Mindy's friend Jessica shouted happily as soon as she came up. "Show us around. Is there a pool?"

"No, my brother bought this for Dad. There's no pool. They mainly use it for fishing and barbecue, and they don't seem to like swimming." Mindy introduced the yacht as she walked.

"I heard from my father that your brother is the chairman of a company. Although it has not been established for long, the market value seems to be very high. No wonder you have so much pocket money!" Another girl said.

"Yes, yes, I heard that too. Mindy, can you buy a lot of beautiful clothes and dolls?"

"No, they bought it all for me. I was adopted and I'm grateful for it. I won't ask to buy anything," Mindy said sensibly, but the little girls didn't care about it. They quickly gathered near the open-air driving platform and watched Mindy take the steering wheel and drive the yacht.

The handsome Wesley also became the target of the girls' questions. Wesley had ample experience in dealing with this. He was not afraid of even adult women, so how could he lose to a group of little girls now?

The yacht stopped at sea. Hannah's pastry was out of the oven and the girls were drawn down again. Wesley took his fishing tackle to the stern and quietly began to fish. Today's fish would depend on his skill.

The day passed quickly. The yacht returned to the club and the parents came to pick up their children. Mindy was tired and fell asleep on Wesley's shoulder. He carefully put her in the passenger seat and then drove home with Carlos. Carlos had to see Hannah off first, and Wesley thought the two of them were getting married.

Annabelle had eaten grilled fish on the yacht today and liked it very much. In the future, she would have to add another grilled fish to her recipe, but Mindy didn't think she could give it to her often. Cat food was her best food.

It didn't take Carlos long to return home with an armful of gifts. Wesley's sports car wouldn't fit all that.

"Is Mindy asleep?" Carlos put all the gifts in the living room and walked to the dining room. Wesley was drinking a cold Coke.

"Yes, she's very happy today and is a little tired from playing." Wesley thought for a while and continued, "Are you and Hannah ready to get married? Make the best use of your time. Mindy should have a complete home. You don't have to think about me. I'm very supportive of your marriage. I have a bedroom in the house next door. Even if you have children in the future, you can live here."
