Chapter 1: New Beginings

'Hm?' he gradually opened his eyes, rubbing them as if he had just woken up from a long nap. He looked at his surroundings but all he saw was darkness. He felt it odd, he looked down and up and saw nothing, again he found it odd. 'Where's my body?' he questioned himself, no arms, no legs, no torso. If he had no body then how did he rub his eyes, odd indeed. ' Though I do wonder why I am so calm, I feel like I should be freaking out but somehow I am not', an odd day. Though there is no sun here or any sort of light there to tell the passing of time.

He stared into the void, seeking anything but nothing could enter his vision, 'perhaps it's because I have no eyes' he wondered but deep down he could feel that it was just because there was nothing to see.

He just stayed there in stasis before he decided to call out, he didn't have any ears or a mouth for that matter but that didn't mean he couldn't try.

"Hello?"

"Eh?" Did something actually answer him back?

"H-hello?'

'No freakin way! Is someone actually there?'

"Who are you?"

[I am your assistant for the "Realm Lord System"]

'Huh, a system, cool! Sounds like some sort of management thingy, maybe i'll get reincarnated as a lord and this is the phase where I choose my perks'

"So, what do I call you assistant?"

"Guess I'll just call you…As…al? Yah Assal… what do you think?"

"Cool, so run me through the tutorial"

"Aw man… well its only level 5 so it should be easy enough. Forget it, what's next, Assal?"

"Oh so like a simulation thingy?"

[No. The world you would enter is real. A split portion of your soul will enter the world and gain strength, after it has reached a certain level, you can then recall the split portion and absorb the power it has gained, hence levelling up]

"Ok, seems easy enough. Which world would it be?"

[Unknown. Since no coordinates are saved, the world would be completely random. However by focusing on specific characteristics, you may be able to target certain worlds]

"Cool. I think its enough chatter for 1 chapter so lets get spinning. Lets go…. Naruto!"

In the land of fire, where fields of green fluttered atop the countless trees, where the people wore smiles and their eyes held promise of a better tomorrow, lay hidden a quaint little place called Konoha, aptly called the village hidden in the leaves.

Even though it was called a village, it was more akin to a small city, surrounded by 20 meter tall stone walls, thicker than any man, on three sides with its back to a tall mountain, chiselled to the perfect reflections of 4 great men. The streets were a hub of activity from the first light of the sun till its last and after thesun had died the village was once more brought to life by the street lamps that made the city chine like a chest filled with gold and silver.

In this village where people carried pride to be known for their village and everyone looked to the mountain carved faces with hope and adoration, there was a sharp cry.

The cry, like that of the rooster, brought with it the first light of day but, unlike the rooster, it did not stop. Its origin? A rather huge white building that stood out from all the rest around it with a big "Konoha General Hospital" engraved across its front doors signifying its importance and necessity to this village.

In this hospital, in operating room 305 at 0601 on the 1 day of the first 1 month, this sharp cry was followed with several jubilant sighs and cheers "It's a boy!" The entire hospital staff had gathered to celebrate the first birth of the new year and even the Hokage, the wise and kind leader of the village, would soon be making his way here to celebrate this happy occasion with his people. In the end it would be the Hokage that would be forced into naming the boy "Shin '' and wish him a wonderful life.

Little Shin however would be fast asleep at that time, dreaming of running across lakes and walking on walls.
