After dealing with Aunt May being pissed that Xavier was carrying a passed out Peter over his shoulder after staying out late, he crashed in his room. Currently scrolling through his brand new system, he found that the shop contained almost nothing but blueprints and materials, a few tools as well but that was it.
He looked at his main menu first, wanting to see how he could add Peter.

[Inventory]
[Users]
He selected the Users tab, only to find that he was the only one at the moment. And he couldn't see anywhere he could add someone to it, so he decided to deal with it later. He moved on to the ability section in his status, which now had a 'Pending', in it. He selected it.
[Scanning user's attributes…]
[Attributes found! Choose one of the following, Shadow, Fire, Aura, or Telepathy.]
"Oh… I thought I'd get to pick whatever I wanted." He said, slightly disappointed.
[User's ability needs to have a matching attribute or it would be uncontrollable. Note- Abilities were listed from strongest to weakest controllable available]
"That makes sense. After all, what's the point of having power if you have no control of it?... In that case I'll write off the last two. They seem useful, but I probably won't be able to control them as well compared to the first two. That leaves Shadow and Fire." When he said that Aura and Telepathy disappeared and the last two options became more detailed.
[Shadow- The ability of controlling shadows. Starting at Lvl 3, the user can make shadows interact with physical objects.]
[Fire- The ability to take control of any fire around the user, Starting at Lvl 5, the user can create fire from mana. The higher starting point is because of a lesser attribute to fire]
'Hmm I guess that decides that. The later starting point is a no go for me, plus it only says you can begin creating fire- no mana cost either it just says you can. On the other hand, shadow seems promising, especially when it comes to stealth situations. I'll go with Shadow.'
As soon as he thought that, a black pill appeared in front of him, his mouth was forced open and he swallowed the pill. He started choking but that faded after a moment, only feeling a new sensation in his chest. Like he had a well of something both cold and immensely deep in his sternum. Along with a weird sensation, as if he had grown an 11th finger. Before he could explore his new ability, he was overcome with a sudden surge of drowsiness.

Xavier woke up to his alarm blaring in his ears. In his morning fatigue, he forgot about what had happened last night and got up to go brush his teeth, only to find Peter frozen over the broken sink. Seeing that the sink was still spewing water, Xavier instinctively raised his wrist and shot webs into the broken spout- blocking off the water. Then he froze too.
Peter slowly turned towards him, "You too huh? I don't have the webs though…" He asked in amazement, though he muttered the last part under his breath.
Xavier took a moment to catch his breath and come up with some sort of explanation. 'Well I could try to web the sink back together but I don't think it'll last. Hmm, I'll just tell Aunt May that we were playing around." Coming to a decision he turned to Peter.
"May can not know about this. Well tell her that we were playing around and I knocked you onto the sink, breaking it. After school we went straight to the Lab to run some tests okay?" He asked, toughing Peter's shoulder.
[Possible user detected- Add user?]
[Y/N]
'Well I guess that's how you use that feature, but I'll add Peter later.' he thought, ignoring the screen for now.
"...Okay." Peter responded after hearing May start her way down the hall from her room.
Xavier, also hearing this, rips off the webs covering the sink and Yells out, "Aunt May! Problem!"

The boys soon found out it wasn't only their strength that increased. Ity was their hearing and smell as well. Both enduring May's screams and The noise of the subway was excruciatingly painful. And let's just say that New York's subways did not smell pleasant. Seeing that his senses were out of whack, Xavier sat down and started to meditate. Peter saw what he was doing and followed along.
By the time they arrived at their stop, they had gotten enough control of their senses to function again. It still took some getting used to, but the two of them managed to get to class on time. Where they were both ambushed by the group, minus Miles. They questioned them until the teacher arrived, with the boys telling that they came down with a bit of sickness. Of course they didn't believe them, but they also couldn't continue the interrogation. The whole time they were at school, Xavier and Peter were being hounded about what happened yesterday but didn't say anything.
After school, both boys rushed off to The Lab before their friends could start hounding them again. When they arrived Peter began to test their blood samples, while Xavier decided to give Peter the system.
[Would you like to hold back some information from the new host?]
"Didn't expect this… Meaning what?" He asked, as the system seemed to be able to respond to him.
[This would mean obscuring certain things like the system being based on Spider-Man.]
"Yes, do that. I don't feel like explaining that to him." A few seconds later Peter froze. Staring at the air in front of his face. "What…?"
"I'm guessing you see this system thing too then?" Xavier asked Peter.
"...Yea…" Peter would be distracted by that for a while.
While he was distracted by that I turned to meditate more, both as a way to organize my thoughts and to stabilize my senses. Sitting against the wall, legs straight, I soon fell into a thoughtless trance. And eventually I opened my eyes, but I wasn't in The Lab anymore. I was in my grandpa's old dojo. I knew I was by the scuff marks on the floor I remembered making myself.
"What is going on?" Xavier thought in wonder.
[Meditation- Adept achieved, Inner world unlocked]
"Inner world? Grandpa never mentioned this before…" Xavier muttered while looking around. Everything was the same as he remembered in the dojo. It had a weapons rack, training dummies and the wall rankings. That was where all of the previous students wrote down their names to be remembered. At the end of their learning at the dojo, starting with the highest ranked.
The only thing that was different was, that the pill he swallowed was floating in the middle of the room. He recognised it by the feeling it gave off- both cold and extremely deep. And now that he had a chance to look at it, it looked rounder than he remembered, now looking more like a seed. He walked over to it and as he got closer, he could hear some kind of drums.
It sounded something like a heartbeat. He had no idea where it could be coming from other than his own chest, but his heart couldn't be that loud right? As he got closer, it was obvious the sound was coming from the shadow seed. And he could also feel a distinct connection to it, almost like… 'No, that's stupid.'
"Well now's a time as good as any to try out this new ability of mine right?"
