Breaking News~
Breaking News; An outbreak has spread across the entire country. This is not a drill. Quarantine yourself, animals, and children. If you see anyone on the streets, take them in. This is not a drill.
"What?" Honey's voice cracked. "An outbreak?" Her grip tightened around her wrists as she tugs on her long and baggy sandy-orange sweater. Honey's dirty-blond hair waves down her face and in front of her glasses as they glared from the TV's blue light. She squinted her sensitive eyes against it.
Her gaze looks up at at her father as he stumbles into her room and onto her accidently with an almost empty bottle of Scotch, branded as Statesman. "Baby girl, daddy needs help," Dakota, her father, mumbles with a drunken slur. "Can you help him?~" his voice goes to a low and seductive moan as his empty and calisted hand pins her wrists above her head. Honey squirms and squeezes her eyes closed. Eventually, before he can do anything, she hears a gentle crunch.
Her eyes open freely as she sees the expression on her fathers face. His one eye is practically glued shut as the other is rolling into the back of his head. Honey looks down and realises her left knee is dug into her fathers crotch. Dakota's hands drop her wrists, the bottle, and reach down to his crotch. He grabs it in pain. In pure shock, Honey pushes her father off of her bed and into her nightstand at the end of her bed. The ninth floor apartment, their apartment, shakes. She climbs off her bed and snatches her phone, locking Dakota in her room for the time being.
"Honey…" her father yells from her room. "Why am I locked in your room?" he hiccups and groans in pain after. "I need a bucket…" his voice fades into an unsatisfying gurgle. "Are you done being drunk?" She asks with a pouty squeak. "Yes. I swear." Honey knows he's lying, or mostly, but let's him out anyway. It is her father after all. Just like before, he stumbles into the small hallway and hits the wall. Two picture frames fall from the dark maroon wall and crash against the glazed wood floor.
