My Path to Greatness

Let's put ourselves in a hypothetical situation.

What would happen if you had the opportunity to know the day of your death?

Would you like to know when it will happen, yes or no?

You will most likely choose yes.

Why?... You may ask.

Simply curious, panic and anxious, you would not think and you would choose that if without thinking twice, you wanted to know the time you have left and thus make the most of it with your loved ones, these would be the most likely thoughts you would have in such a situation.

In Asher case, he didn't want to know, but due to his illness and his weak body, the doctors gave him the news that he couldn't live past 15 years.

A 4-year-old boy knowing that the only thing that awaits him around the corner is death, he became depressed and collapsed, his family and his only childhood friend would be the only people who would make him smile in the next 10 years.

One day Asher would have an attack of migraines and nosebleeds so strong that would pass out, his mother Miriam and twin sister Leila would go by his side in the ambulance with the nurses treating him and transferring him to the emergency hospital.

But unfortunately on the way they would meet some armed criminals who would block their way, the Waller family bodyguards would try to defend Asher, Miriam and Leila but they would fail.

Some bullets would hit Miriam and Leila killing them on the spot, when Asher woke up he would be in shock, after witness the lifeless corpses of his mother and sister.

He wanted to get up from the stretcher and run, check if his eyes were deceiving them, confirming that this was just a dream and wake up, but all that could do was see the inert bodies of the two people he loved the most in the world lying on the ground in the cold asphalt covered in blood.

He couldn't move anymore, or feel his body and the only thing that could move was his dark black eyes. All he could see were dead bodies and blood everywhere.

In this moment of despair, panic and weakness all he could do was pass out.

After several minutes the shooting calmed down, some hooded men approached and went to look for their capture target who was with two other bodies.

After checking his target's pulse it would turn out that he was already dead.

"Tch! This is a problem." Said with annoyance a hooded man who was 1.80m tall, was covered with a camouflage bulletproof vest suit and had an AK-47 in his hand.

"Boss! The boy is alive." Yelled another hooded man who was inspecting the 3 bodies to check his vitals.

The 1.80 m man, hearing the name, tilted his head to look at a 14-year-old boy who was lying on a stretcher, he had black hair with a handsome face, who would turn out to be passed out in front of two corpses, one woman and the other was a girl, the target they had to capture alive.

"Looks like it belongs to the Waller family. Bring it in, we'll take it to Clark, let him decide what to do with it." Said the man to his member of the mafia gang 'The Infernal Cancerbero'.

"Yes Boss!" Said a young man who was in front of the boy, the young man could not help but sigh silently for the boy's future, grabbed him and took it to the truck.

After leaving Asher's body, all the cars started their engines and left the scene.

In a luxurious mansion.

In one room of the mansion, two men were sitting across from each other.

The one sitting on the wooden chair was a 40-year-old man who was 1.80m tall with black hair and beard with white streaks.

The other was a young man who appeared to be a little under 20 years old with blond hair and light blue eyes, all accompanied by an attractive face that was a deadly combination for the young maidens.

The bearded man started talking and throwing a stack of documents with information from retired soldiers on the table.

"The information you gave us that the bodyguards who protected that family were much more skilled than what you said in those documents, thanks to you I lost many of my men." Said with apparent anger in his voice.

"Because of the losses we had you will give us the doble that we agreed." Said a little happier, thinking that he would earn more money.

The man was really putting together a theater, he knew that they had failed in the agreement they had made and that it was also partly his fault for trusting.

He also knew that the boy in front of him was a daddy's boy and would not cause problems for his gang 'The Infernal Cancerbero' even though they were a new gang of criminals, their members were many and they were everywhere in the streets.

Besides the men that he lost in the shooting could be replaced, they were not of great importance.

The young man, after hearing what happend, looked at him with apparent annoyance, the mission he had given them was to capture Leila Waller alive, but now she was dead.

But the only thing he could do is shut up, if he causes problems for this gang of mobsters, it is likely that his father will have a lot of problems.

He already glimpse her death if his father found out what was done, he couldn't help but tremble at the sight of being beaten to death.

"Mr. Francisco, I don't want to have any problems with you so I will give you 2.5 times what you ask for." The young man told the man named Francisco.

"It's like you say, it was my mistake, so the only thing I can do to make amends is to give you more money than we agreed on, take that as an apology." Said the young man.

'Also, it brought me someone with whom I can have fun and get my anger out.' The young man thought in his head.

Francisco hearing this couldn't help but smile inside, he had achieved what he wanted and more, although he was so happy that he could jump with emotion at all the money he had taken from the stupid boy, on the outside he had a poker expression.

He had worked for a long time and knew how to keep up appearances.

Francisco got up from his chair, extended his hand to the young man and said.

"Young Clark, as a matter of fact you won't have any problem with the band The Infernal Cancerbero, I see you're a smart guy so if you need to get some work done in the future of any kind call us and we'll handle it for you." Francisco said with a serious tone, managing to get a fake smile from Clark.

"Sure Mr. Francisco, if I need someone I will certainly call you." Clark said with a smile and accepting Francisco's handshake.

'The young man seems that he is a bit smarter than I imagined.' Francis thought.

The two talked for a while longer until Francisco received the money, said goodbye and left the mansion leaving Clark alone.

"This damn bastard ended up killing that damn bitch, when I have enough power I'm going to hire someone to kill you." Clark muttered with apparent anger.

"At least he brought me the bitch's brother." Clark couldn't help but smile at the image that came to his mind, it was that of a 14-year-old boy with black hair and eyes.

Clark couldn't wait any longer and went to where he had tied up Asher, his new toy.
