Jennifer leaves the underground palace

The next morning when Jennifer woke up, she couldn't find Elina next to her on the bed. Fear occupied her heart and she got up hurriedly. Before she could go out to check, Elina came out of the bathroom with a smile.

"Thank goodness, you are ok! I thought they caught you once again." Jennifer hugged her tightly.

"No one can catch me!! I am not a fish" Elina pouted like a fish and walked around with a towel wrapped around her body.

"Do you have any extra dress to wear? My clothes got wet and I didn't plan to stay here for the night, so I did not get any spare." Elina grumbled while throwing her tired body on the bed.

Jennifer glared at the indolent girl whose lower part was almost visible as her legs were spread open. She lifted the blanket and covered Elina completely.

Elina became a sushi roll but was too slothful to push the blanket away. She just cuddled herself comfortably. Jennifer went inside the wardrobe to pick a dress for Elina.

Even though they were almost of the same age, Jennifer was quite taller compared to Elina. So Jennifer picked a short knee-length dress for Elina to wear.

When Jennifer came out, she saw that sloth has now become a round ball and rolling on the bed. Jennifer picked a pillow and hit Elina with that.

"Elina, get up, we need to go leave soon" Jennifer pulled her out from the blanket.

"Look! I am almost ready, we can leave anytime you want to…" Elina jumped up and hugged Jennifer.

She even dropped a late good morning kiss on Jennifer's cheeks. Jennifer slightly hit her head and pushed her away.

"Stop fooling around. I would freshen up and then we would leave. Till then do not open the door for anyone. Do you hear me?" Jennifer informed Elina.

"Yes! Boss, I hear you! Clear and out!" Elina pushed Jennifer towards the bathroom.

When Jennifer came out, she saw Elina was scanning the room around. She felt slightly relaxed as everything was going smooth till now.

The biggest issue will be how can she sneak her out of this place without anyone noticing. Last night Jennifer regretted not getting Axe's phone number. Suddenly she realized something and turned towards Elina.

"Do you have Axe's phone number, by chance?" Jennifer asked.

"Here" Elina threw her phone at Jennifer.

Jennifer caught it mid-air and unlocked the phone. She then dialed Axe number and when it got connected before she could say anything Axe's voice hurriedly spoke.

"I cannot speak for long. There is some emergency declared and I was being sent out on a mission. Inform Jennifer to investigate what I told her about yesterday."

Before Jennifer could ask anything more as the call got disconnected.

"What happened? You look confused" Elina asked.

"Axe was sent out on a mission. So we need to find a way to sneak out by ourselves. Are you familiar with the infrastructure of this place?" Jennifer enquired.

"Little bit" Elina spoke uncertainty.

"Fine. Just tell me what you know"

They both sat down and discussed all the possible routes they saw until now. Jennifer made a plan out of it and they decided to leave after the horn blew for the training that afternoon.

At that time they heard a knock on the door. Jennifer once again pushed Elina into the bathroom and closed the door. Right at that moment, the door opened and Aiden came in.

Looking at the stumped Elina, Aiden whined, "What now? I knocked on the door this time, so you cannot blame me. I waited for almost half an hour before I came inside."

Jennifer just grunted and walked towards the sofa. Being ignored by a small girl made Aiden's blood pressure rise sky-high. But he controlled his anger for Jayden.

"When is your next exam? I will be out of town for a few days, so I will ask Sam to do the drop and pick up" Aiden informed.

"Why go through all the trouble. Let me stay in the dormitory as usual. It is for only ten days and my exams will be over in no time. Then I will come and stay at your place as a prisoner" Jennifer muttered.

"I did not hold…" Aiden just took a deep breath and tried to ignore her.

After thinking for some time, he murmured, "Fine".

Once he said that Aiden turned around and left. Aiden thought it was better for her to stay in the dormitory than here as it would be more convenient for all of them. He does not want to babysit her anymore.

If Jennifer knew what he thought, she would have given him a punch on his face. Good thing, she will never know about that!

Elina walked out and looked at the direction Aiden went. She felt something was not right with both of their relationships from the way they spoke to each other.

She can definitely point out that there was no love. Forget about love, they did not even behave like people who could stand in the same room for more than a minute without arguing.

"Are two not in love with each other?" Elina asked.

"What love? It is hate!! Pure Hate" Jennifer shouted.

Elina thought don't all hate converts to love? In almost all romance novels she read, it always starts with a fight between the lead roles, and then they would become inseparable in just a few chapters later.

When she realized that her heart ached and she became dejected. No! Elina! You must never feel sad! You must be happy for both of them.

Jennifer, who looked at her funny expressions, just shook her head. Now all they have to do is wait for Aiden to leave.

In an hour almost the place became lifeless. Hardly anyone was visible, Jennifer held Elina's hand and walked towards the exit. No one jumped in front and stopped them from leaving.

But what they did not expect was that Elina's two-wheeler was smashed into pieces and even looked like a big giant vehicle rolled over it. She ran towards it and lifted the only part which was not broken yet, the side mirror.

Jennifer walked towards her and pushed the mirror away. She noticed Sam who came walking faster towards them.

"You could have told me that you wanted to leave. I would have arranged a vehicle for you. But now almost all of them left except for this one" Sam pointed at an old crappy vehicle which was standing lonely on the large parking lot.

Jennifer just pulled the keys away and walked towards the van without any reaction. When Sam noticed Elina behind Jennifer he asked in surprise,

"Hey, why are you here? When did you come?"

Sam went near Elina and tried to put his arm around her shoulders. Jennifer came back hurriedly and twisted his arms. 'OUCH! Ouch!'

"You do not have to know" Jennifer muttered and left with Elina.
