The Reassessment Begins

It was so close, yet so far. 

Fortunately, Qin Feng did not feel disappointed for too long. He could still learn the Nine Yang Divine Technique. It would just take two days. 

That would also be the day his reassessment was held. If he could utilize "Explosive Steps" in addition to the Nine Yang Divine Technique, his achievements would be unfathomable. After some consideration, Qin Feng decided to learn the technique anyway. 

"Ding Dong! Since you've not met the requirements, learning the Nine Yang Divine Technique will take two days."

Qin Feng did not really pay attention to the notification. He opened the door and headed straight to the training field. There were only two days left until the reassessment. The young man had no plans to relax and trained diligently.

Just like that, two days had passed. 

The students who were going to take their reassessment gathered at the predetermined venue. This place was divided in an orderly manner using red lines. 

There was only half an hour left until the reassessment officially began. Countless students had gathered and the place was packed. Some students from Jiang University also came. Among them was Ye Shuang, the "phoenix in the sky", as described by her family. 

Every academy in Jiangnan Province wanted to recruit talented students. Hence, they would send some representatives to spectate the situation. Those who were selected did not really have a choice and simply had to follow orders. 

As time passed, the students became more anxious. After all, this was an important event in their lives. They tried talking with each other to ease themselves.

Meanwhile, Qin Feng was in a corner all by himself. He was in deep thoughts. This time, the reassessment included first-time students. Thus, he could be considered "experienced". Regardless, his strength had soared since the last time he took the assessment. There should be no problem. He recalled the previous assessment. It was not a written exam. Only strength and talent mattered. 

Obviously, only the best students would pass. They would receive resources from the academy and be taught by professionals. Their strength would rapidly increase. 

Some outstanding students would be fought over. Those who were just average had a chance to be admitted into random universities. As for failures, nothing more needed to be said. 

This assessment was divided into three parts. 

First, the students' attributes would be tested. This included their strength, physique, speed, and spirit. As long as all of them reached five points, the student would pass. However, that was the bare minimum. Most academies would not even bat an eye at those numbers. 

A month ago, reaching five points for all attributes was Qin Feng's goal. Now, things have changed. If Qin Feng wanted to enter Jiang University, the requirement was actually doubled. Moreover, that was only the minimum. Even if a student passed, nothing was guaranteed. 

Qin Feng was also a repeater. The way he would be judged may be harsher. Additionally, Jiang University had a limit for admittance each year. If a student had merely ten points in all attributes, it would most likely not be enough. To be safe, they had to exceed the margin. 

The second part mainly focused on a student's pure strength. A student may be talented but without strength, they would not stand a chance in combat. What was the point of becoming a martial artist if one could not even defeat an ordinary person? Again, this world was not peaceful. Strength was a necessity to succeed! A gifted bookworm who could not win a single battle would be better off studying literature. 

Since there was a large number of students, this part of the assessment would be carried out in a battle royale style. Ten random students were pitted against each other and the last one standing would pass. Of course, if certain students managed to catch the examiners' eyes, they still had a chance.

Finally, the third part was about cultivation. This mostly benefits disciples from large families. After all, they had already started cultivating at a young age. Unfortunately, normal students would not stand much of a chance. Some had never even heard of cultivation techniques while those who did could only watch. 

Cultivation techniques were extremely precious. Not everyone could learn them. Even if ordinary students managed to cultivate, they would be nothing in comparison to those from rich families. 

Furthermore, the assessment included how long a student could keep using their cultivated technique. The longer, the better. This was a way used to measure the user's talent. 

Qin Feng was not that worried. Supposedly, he had already cultivated the Nine Yang Divine Technique. This technique was one of the most sought-after in the martial arts world. What could possibly go wrong?
