The downfall of Mumbi kingdom

In a period of fifty years, king Nuru did everything he was capable of. He was ready to use forcefulness where applicable. Indeed he was a great king. A king that earned the trust of 99.9% of Mumbi kingdom citizens. Making everyone to believe in him wasn't a walk in a park. Remaining strong even during hardest moments was not that easy as some citizens thought it was. Sometimes sharing a table with enemies of progress and hypocrites of the highest order required a lot of wisdom. Making decisions that he was clearly aware that they were absolutely new and indeed he was going to face opposition, but he moved a head in implementing them; required bravery. Fighting drug lords who already deepened their roots in the kingdom was indeed a risk taking. Majority of those individuals had connections with other kingdoms hence it was indeed hard for him to fight them, overcoming them and ending drug trafficking was indeed a great achievement that ordinary kings wouldn't have achieved. Other kingdoms tried to do that but majority of them ended up in wars eventually their respective kings were overthrown hence making it easier for drug lords to manipulate their way to leadership. Indeed king Nuru was a tough ruler though he never wished his citizens to call him a ruler rather he wanted them to identify him as a leader. He believed that rulers have the crown as their defense and the leaders have citizens as their defense. He was growing old therefore, he wasn't able to rule as always. It was time for his children to chime in and help him perform some duties.

Ng'ondi was his second born. He was forty years old. Indeed a responsible man who was capable of helping in leadership. He was well educated just like his brothers and sister. Ng'ondi was indeed forgetful, he hardly remember everything. Throughout his father's reign, he was terrible when it came to maintenance of quality raw information. As it was normal, king Nuru always tested all his children to identify everyone's capability and level of intelligence. The forgetfulness of Ng'ondi was indeed angering the king through there was absolutely nothing he could have done about it. He just had to accept his son just the way he was.

Due to his nature of forgetfulness, he always had to lie to everyone. He never admitted it whenever he forgot about something no matter how critical and important it was. Lying wasn't a big deal to him as long as he was able to say something. He was always happy when he just say something even if it was a lie. Unfortunately, he lied in almost everything he said. Indeed his father knew how much his dearest son was lying to him. It was indeed painful, considering that he always strived in ensuring that the kingdom had faithful citizens; there he was a liar being his own son.

As a result of having to lie. He turned to be a betrayer. He had to always find a way of coming up with something that is at least relevant. He used to speak with some official whenever he was trying to remember something. Since he was as well doubtful, he made sure that he directly connected however he talked too. In most cases that was a betrayal because being a king's son, majority of the officials were afraid of not telling him whatever he wanted to know. In most cases they ended up violating their code of conduct. Indeed it was wrong for any official to leak any kind of information to anyone despite of whom he/she was. Only the king had the power to asked anything from anyone in Mumbi kingdom. The rest had to follow a strict procedure of getting any kind of information. It was a betrayal of the highest order for prince Ng'ondi to reveal how he obtain the information. Not only betrayal but also stupidity, he plainly proved how non reliable he was to the king. Seeing all of that nonsense from his son, the king lost hopes. He never relied on him, he had a feeling that the same way he was betraying others; it's the same way he would have betrayed him hence endangering his crown. The king had no other option apart from just hiding everything from him. It was discovered that Ng'ondi was also jealous. Since he was not able to correctly perform his tasks, he never wished to have any of his brothers and sister performing theirs as well. He just wanted to make sure that they all fail so that he won't be seen as the most irrelevant prince. His efforts never succeeded because all his siblings and his elder brother were not easy to fool. They always learned his plans before he could even implement them. Though his brother Iringo believed him in same cases but still he never managed to stop him from performing.

Tausi was king Nuru's third born. She was indeed a beautiful lady. Her body was extremely attractive. She was not beautiful because of being born in a royal family but her beauty was natural. She always ensure that her skin glows more and more. Indeed she was beauty oriented. She spent a good number of hours in salons. Tausi had uncountable pairs of shoes hand bags high ending vehicles among more other particulars. She always matched her dressing with the car she was using any particular given day. The same happened to hair style. In fact she had to employ a personal salonist who was to accompany her wherever she visited. She was only 44 years by then. She was an expert in showing off.

Tausi loved partying more than anything else. She spent hours in saloons just to look good in parties. She was not ready to be embarrassed for having a hair style for more than two days. She was indeed keen when it came to beauty. She never missed any party regardless of where it was, so long as her best friends were joining her; she always make sure that she attend. She had no time for any leadership obligation. Indeed leadership was non of her business. At those parties, she always sing and dance vigorously. She was shameless both at home and at the parties. She was one of king Nuru's children who had the gut to face and look him eye to eye. She was never bothered by what might happen in case of her father's anger.

She as well lacked humility. She never believed that in Mumbi kingdom there could ever be a beautiful lady like her. She considered herself a special and indeed unique lady. She always overlooked other ladies, her friends included. Of course for lady to do what she was doing, the lady had to abandon all her responsibilities and concentrate on beauty. Since majority of her friends and those ladies who were somehow near her financial status were not really paying much attention on their appearances, she was the queen of beauty. What angered king Nuru the most was how good she was in paying more attention to beauty than leadership. The king wanted all his children to be leaders, unfortunately he was mistaken. Tausi's path was far away from leadership.

Tausi wanted be a model, though this choice wasn't pleasant before the eyes of the king; he tried to convince her to revisit her decision but she stood firm. She was already an adult, at the age of 44 years she was intelligent enough to know what was right and what was wrong. King Nuru was just playing a father's role. It's believed that no matter how old one is, one's father will always have a right to question and guide that particular person. Indeed Tausi understood this and that's why she had to convince him that she was aware of what she was doing. Her efforts succeeded because eventually, king Nuru was pleased by his daughter's choice. He just had to support her whenever he could though Tausi was already an independent lady who never seeked financial support from her father any more.

Unlike his sister, Iringo was an extremely polite man. King Nuru was indeed glad to have him as his fourth born. Iringo never exchanged words with anyone regardless of the given circumstance. He was a gentleman who never had to be careful on what to say because already he chose to be a polite person. Everything he did was abit extra ordinary. In most cases he over did everything hence losing the meaning of it all. He somehow misunderstood the concept of being polite because he believed that even arguing is a source of impoliteness. Therefore he never engaged in any kind of argument be it in meetings or at home.

Iringo was a peacemaker, he always wished to have a peaceful surrounding. He always helped his father wherever peaceful talk was needed. He believed that peace was the backbone of everything, indeed it is up to date. There was a time some sacked council members joined hands with some criminal gangs within the kingdom to fight king Nuru. The gang was formed by those council members who were present during the reign of king Nuru's late father. All those years everything seem to be fine. The king never seem to suspect that there was a plan of overthrowing him. After ensuring that they were armed to teeth, they decided to officially begin fighting the kingdom.

The kingdom almost turned to a war zone. The gang was very clear, they wanted to have their anonymous leader as a crowned king. They claimed that it was time for change. They even threatened to harm the entire royal family. Iringo the peacemaker couldn't believe whatever was happening. To him it was like a dream. Of course the gang was ready for dialogue any time. Throughout this time, king Nuru never ordered his army to fight them. He just ordered them to ensure safety of the citizens but not fight the gang. This made the gang think that they were almost succeeding. They thought that the king was about to give up and step down. Iringo decided to have a brief talk with the rebellions. He wanted to end the looming fight. He knew that the entire king's family was at risk. Without doing something, he was sure that peace would have been something of the past.

He eventually met the gang leaders. Since they already knew his weakness, they pretended to be very concerned with the peace of the entire kingdom. They ironically expressed their desires of seeing king Nuru prospering in every bit of his life. One of them went an extra mile and shaded some crocodile's tears. They already knew that Iringo was forgiving and after forgiving, he was quick in believing everything being told. They as well knew that he truly wishes to see individuals living peaceful lives. To him peace, love and unity was everything. All his desires were on their finger tips. They already planned how to make him forget about protecting his father's throne. They wanted to indirectly use him against his own father. At that time he was forty years old. His extra ordinary desires to have peace, love and unity made him weak and prone to manipulations.

"Thank you very much for inviting us here just for the sake of peaceful dialogue. We do appreciate you for your unweaving efforts in trying to solve our division. We're aware how much you wish to see our beautiful kingdom being peaceful and united. I do believe that together we can retain the peaceful environment in our kingdom. As you already know, without unity there's absolutely nothing that will ever be possible. Your father has been ruthless when it came to dealing with any kind of opposition. Being a peace, love and unity oriented person; obviously you do wish to see the king solving those issue peacefully.

We are indeed glad to let you know that our concern is peace, love and unity as well. I do hope that you still remember how the king ruthlessly dealt with the murder suspects, he ruthlessly sent sexual assaulters to prison. If at all he was peace, love and unity oriented just like you; obviously he would have considered the fact that those individuals had families as well. We wish to have a kingdom where's even those found guilty of anything can still be given a chance of apologizing hence escaping the jail penalty.

To be honest, your father will never listen to us. He'll never understand that we are trying to restore the peace that was once there before his regime. Indeed he has done a lot but when it comes to human rights, he has not done it perfectly. We still need him as our king, I wish to ask you to offer us a helping hand in putting him back to a right path. We need to have him stepping down the throne. We won't have someone permanently on that throne. We will place a transitional king on that throne then after at least one month, your father will resume his throne. During that time, we shall be urging him to always consider every aspect in his decisions. He'll eventually resume the throne and the opposition shall be over, what do you think our intelligent brother Iringo?" those were manipulative words from one of the gang leaders. The speech was indeed well organized, it was meant for a serious manipulation. Iringo was indeed delighted by the speech and the 'sincerity' of that particular leader. He started thinking about how cruel his father was when it came to crime cases. He was convinced that indeed it was time for change. The only fact he never knew was that, he was just helping his father's adversaries in destroying him completely. It never crossed his mind that there might have been some possibilities of being deceived. He cleared his throat twice before giving his response.

"Up to now I can't believe what I'm hearing. Indeed everyone need to be given a second chance. We should always be able to forgive everyone and let God be the judge. I'm aware how merciless my father has been when it comes to drug dealing, robbery and sexual assault cases. He has never joked with anyone. You experienced his anger when you tried to stop him from criminalizing female circumcision. You also saw how angry he was when he couldn't bear seeing LGBT community being discriminated. I wasn't happy about it but there was absolutely nothing I would have done to stop him. My elder brother Giza was as well not pleased; but he had to shut up. I promise to join hands with you in teaching my father a lesson; but the deal should remain as planned. You'll overthrow him then after one month you'll apologize and give him back his crown. ( laughter filled the room) . I'll talk to him first so that I may convince him to just step down respectfully instead of waiting for an embarrassment. Thank you my dearest brother"

Cheers and laughter filled the room, they all expected him to support them but they never thought he would have gone that crazy. They only knew him to be blinded by extraordinary urge for peace, love and unity. They never new that he was such an easy go person. It was indeed surprising such that they couldn't believe him immediately. It took them some time and they had to actually start behaving like interviewers. After being sure of what he promised them, they actually embraced each other as a sign of agreement.

The gang leadership informed it's key people about the good news of king Nuru's son joining them in overthrowing his own father. Indeed expectations of success were very high. Among those key people, there was a gentleman who's life was saved by king Nuru. He was hospitalized and the bills were so high such that they couldn't afford paying them. He sent his wife to the palace to seek financial support from the king. Not only financial support but the king decided to pay him a visit at the hospital. Therefore he was in the gang for the purpose of protecting the king. He was indeed poor and he had nothing that could have be worthy enough to present to the king as a gift. After learning about the recruitment of King Nuru's regime rebellions, he decided to joined and learn everything from there. Perhaps it was time for him to visit the king and give him a gift for saving his life sometimes back.

The gentleman just approached a loyal council member who was very humble and caring. He asked him to inform the king that he wanted to have an agent private meeting with him. He as well informed him that he should put his children out of it and none of them was to know anything about the meeting. The king became nervous because for the first time he was getting orders from a citizen. He truly wanted to know what the meeting was all about. The king decided to lock everyone out of the meeting and he met the gentleman alone without security guards. In fact he sneaked out of the palace at night at met him at a secured guest house. Of course he remembered the gentleman. The king had to make him settle down mentally first because the gentleman was somehow nervous, it was his first time to speak with the king privately. After eating and drinking, he told the king about everything that was going on. He openly informed him that his son Iringo was cooperating with the enemies and he already agreed to assist them in overthrowing him. The king couldn't believe what he was hearing. Iringo was a very obedient son of his. The gentleman however urged the king not to blame his son. He informed him that the gang members seriously manipulated him and they identified his weak point. The king wanted to learn more about his son. Because he already knew that Iringo was a peace maker, polite and trustworthy. He was informed that not only being trustworthy, he was as well an easy goer and a fool. That was according to the gang members who were narrating to them how easy it was in tricking him. The king was indeed exhausted by the bad news and he decided to spend the night in that particular guest house. Indeed they had a wonderful moment after that, because they actually got to feel each other physically throughout the night of course after the sad talk.

Of all his children, king Nuru chose to trust his first born Giza despite of somehow sensing danger on his presence. Giza was indeed courageous and confident. He had to inform his son about everything that was to be accomplished by the help of his very own son. Indeed they found it very necessary to hide everything from Iringo and watch his movements. They employed some private spies to track him wherever he went. Indeed Iringo was determined to see his father overthrown. He was dearly cooperating with the enemies. The spies kept on updating king Nuru and prince Giza about everything going on. They were recording plenty of videos. The traitor never suspected that his father together with his elder brother were just making funny of him. He actually tried to indirectly convince his father to step down the throne but he wasn't an expert when it came to manipulating. King Nuru was very worried about his son Iringo. The way he was expressing himself, was evidently that he was being forced to. At first he volunteered to do it but it seem that he later on realized how stupid he was. It was too late for him to change his mind, he already reached a point of no return.

One day he was spotted being harassed by those gang members. The king's spies sent him the video recording of his son being harassed and he was indeed angry. After all he was his son no matter what. The king decided to face Iringo and let him know that his elder brother and him were aware of the agreement he made with the enemies. Iringo couldn't believe it. He thought that he was being tricked to reveal something till he was shown a video tape. He admitted the fact that indeed he agreed to help them but things changed after the agreement. With that information, the king learned the throne was going to be taken away from him any moment in case of any slight misstep. Poor Iringo, his life was in danger. Just the way his brother and father were tracking him, it's the same way the gang was. They immediately learned his betrayal. They had their spy who was one of the palace security personnel. The unwise gentleman agreed to meet them as usual. He wanted to help his father learn more but he never knew that there was another traitor in his father's palace. They agreed to place a hidden camera on his shirt button. His brother and father were to watch everything from home. Apon arriving, he was welcomed with a hard blow on his face. He was informed how Msaliti (the security guard) was able to report everything to them. He argued out that Msaliti was not allowed to get into the palace, he always stayed at the gate. Iringo was shocked to learn that Zuzu (one of the palace cooks) fed Msaliti with news about everything that was going on. It was indeed a disbelief. It was too late anyway. The king witnessed his son being stubbed to death.

The two traitors were arrested and they were set to face judgement. In one way or the other, Prince Giza defended them despite of them working for his father's enemies and indirectly being involved in his brothers death. The king was informed that the case lacked enough evidence, later on the two were reported dead in different locations. The king began ailing, he became weak and weaker. The rebellions never attacked him despite of them knowing that he was ailing and indeed it easier for them to overthrow him. Prince Giza asked them not to do that, he informed them that his father was going to die at any moment. He thanked them for working for him. In fact he promised to offer all the gang leaders senior position after being crowned as a king. Indeed Giza was behind all of that. It was his plans to overthrow his father. After seeing how ailing his father was, he was sure of becoming a king any moment. The king started recovering day by day. However, one day he took an overdose of his medicine. Up to date it has never been clear about who mistakenly did that. On that particular day, the king spent the night with his dearest first born. However due to busy schedule Giza had during the day, he had a deep sleep such that he couldn't hear his father crying for help. In the morning, the entire kingdom was shocked by the breaking news of the death of their king. It was indeed sad but all in all, the king was no more.

King Nuru being a popular person who was admired by both Mumbi kingdom citizens and citizens from other kingdoms, deserved a respectful burial ceremony. There was a three days mourning period. His burial ceremony was attended by about twenty million people. Both local and international. More than thirty kings were present on that particular day. Some of the lengthy speeches made by those kings were well stored for future references because it wasn't sure whether there was going to be any king of his caliber.

"fellow kings, queens, council members from all kingdoms, the widow, all princes and princess, citizens from all kingdoms, I great you. It's my belief that you're all fine despite of the great lose of losing a great king. It's indeed sad because we all kept on learning from him. He was very ambitious in everything that he did. He never hesitated pointing out anything suspicious. He cared for everyone regardless of the geographical boundaries. To him, geographical boundaries were nothing. He never imagined being reluctant and watch someone suffering at the other side due to geographical boundaries. He always helped everyone, you all can testify this.

I still remember vividly when he was fighting female circumcision, he made a phone call that was really meaningful. He asked me about female circumcision in my kingdom, to be honest; I was yet to act on that particular issue. Indeed I had some problems with my council members. Just like him, I had some council members who were there during my father's regime and I never thought that it was wise for me to sack them. They truly frustrated my efforts just like his. I talked about it with and he just asked me to arrange for a bench mark, indeed he was very funny. At the end he actually helped me in settling down all their concerns. Those who were not ready to work with me, were immediately sacked and replaced. Within a short period of time, my kingdom was not tolerating anyone caught involving him/herself with female circumcision.

It never ended there, when he was about to decriminalize same sex marriage; he told me that he was not going to tolerate any kind of homophobic behavior from my citizens. He asked me if I was ready to protect all of his citizens who would have visited my kingdom especially LGBT community members. Indeed I agreed, he wanted to know when exactly I was going to decriminalize same sex marriage in my kingdom. He was indeed concerned about all human beings. Sometimes I just felt like disturbing him deliberately, I would ask him if he could have appointment me as one of his council member in case of boundaries erasing and joining together of all kingdoms. He always laughed and ask me what made me believe that he would be a king and not an ordinary council member.

We really shared a lot, even what was going on just recently. We were aware of it. Unfortunately, some of his close people decided to turn against him. He revealed to us how former council members were manipulating his citizens, one of his sons involved. It was indeed sad, fortunately the late king Nuru knew what was happening to him. He already knew who was sponsoring those gang leaders. He knew who was after his throne. Though he was not letting us know why the person was not ready to wait for a decent succession. What he always said was that, everything was meant to happen and he couldn't frustrate the plans of his ancestors. He me to publicly let everyone know that, however was behind everything that was happening to him; was going to be experienced exactly what he initially planned for him. He told me that he was to die on bed but his enemy was to die by a bullet while sitting on the throne, his crown was going be require a serious wash for the blood stain to be fully cleaned. But he assured us that he was going to come back after some years, he urged us to inform you that; your future generations will still have him as a king once again. You should not be worried about anything…" his speech was cut short by prince Giza, he claimed that mourners weren't ready to listen to unverifiable stories.

" I prince Giza Nuru, will not tolerate any fool who will try to talk about story that can't be verified by anyone. I urge you all to pay no attention to this old confused king. He has failed to rule his own kingdom, no wonder my father was asking him to do things that he could have done on his own. Let me give you all a polite warning, if there is any other fool who has something nasty to say during Nuru's burial, ooh sorry the late king Nuru' burial ooh sorry once again; my dearest father! Should shut his/her mouth because I'll not tolerate any kind of stupidity. In fact Mumbi kingdom citizens are not all employed and I do see some good for nothing foreigners in Mumbi kingdom, I'll deport all of them. Nonsense!!" these were the nastiest first speech from prince Giza who was the incoming Mumbi kingdom king. It was totally a mess. All kings had to pay their last respects to their dearest friend before leaving. They already knew that Mumbi kingdom was no more. All efforts made by king Nuru were going to be a waste. Immediately after the burial of his father, Prince Giza demanded a quick swearing in ceremony. He wasn't ready to wait any longer. It's as if he thought that something bad might happen considering to speech made by one king who was king Nuru's best friend. He finally got the throne and he became the new king of Mumbi kingdom.
