Chapter 8- Christmas Game

He could place his internet cafe in a rural area or just near his building.

Actually both has its pro's and cons, the pros of being in a rural are is that he won't have to worry being disturbed, etc but the cons is that once people get suspicious,.it will be easy to discover.

His building is in the middle of Akihabara city, which meant thousands of people walk around this place the pros is that he will be able to camouflage his internet cafe,.it was the quote hide in plain site.

Of course, the risk of being discovered is high but come on, this is akihabara,.if you see an alien here you will think it was a cosplayer so the chances are actually much slimmer than being in a rural area.

After thinking for a while and finally making his decision, Cryd decided to go for near his building, he remembered the Restaurant in Another World anime, it was the best example of what is happening to him right now.

After making decision, Cryd started his matters first is to buy a new lot in Akihabara and it has 3 floors, 1st floor will be a normal restaurant, second floor will be the Multiverse Internet Cafe + Restaurant, and for the 3rd floor, it will be Cryd's personal room.

As for employee's rooms, Cryd didn't really need to make one, he can do it on his own, it isn't like the first building he did.

After that, he handed the matters to his butler who immediately started doing the job but the butler was a little confused because the building has a requirement that it has to be able to resist a nuclear bomb.

But since he was only following orders he didnt think about it and just did the job given to him.

Soon, Cryd received the time it will take to finish the project and would you look at that, exactly a month and a half, Cryd nodded and permitted to immediately start the project.

Since he has a lot of time, he might as well prepare somethings for his personal life, first things first is that it was already december so it's very cold and next year, Cryd will turn eleven and he will need to go to school.

"Since, Grandpa and Nagi didn't want to go to vacation this christmas, I might as well spend some time for myself"

Usually, in december the family go overseas to enjoy their christmas but unfortunately this year, his grandfather has important matters and his little sister said she has party with her friends so Cryd didn't have anything to do.

"How about I make a simple christmas game, I can probably make it in 2 weeks to warm myself up"

In this past years, Cryd didn't really make any games since he was more focused in his business and the building, and his schedule is actually packed.

But that doesn't mean he didnt do things to improve his skills, on the contrary, he is confident to say that his foundation is unshakable and he was capable of making games of different genres with no difficulty.

Anyway, the question now is what kind of game should he make? A horror? It doesn't fit for christmas, RPG? Nah, those games took months to years to create, there are a lot of options but in the end Cryd decided to go with the most fitted and easy to make game.

A rhythm game, Cryd already made a lot of unreleased songs so this was the best choice for him, the only things he needed to make is arts and the game.

And the game he was going to go for is Friday Night Funkin' also known as FNF, one of the classic rhythm games, though it was kind of new, it became popular because of how it was close to the community and also its easy to difficult gameplay, it also has good music that was loved by many.

The game was very simple, much like the guitar hero, players must have a good sense of timing and fast hands.

It has simple art and animation, it also doesn't have that much character movement, and characters will stay at the same place.

Cryd then started making the game, he doesn't really need to start from the beginning because there are resources in the internet provided by the Game Association.

Speaking of the Game Association, this kind of association didn't exist in his past life, the game association is incharge of all the game developers in this world.

They do a lot of things so Cryd won't be able to list all of it but all of what they do is related to the gaming industry.

Cryd then took a resource from the game resource shop and it was for free, can you believe that?

Anyway, after Cryd chose the resource character, he immediately reskinned it, his art skills are very solid so it didn't take him long to make an original character out of it.

A short boy wearing blue hat with a mic on his hand, behind him sat a beautiful sexy lady wearing pink dress, these two are Boyfriend and Girlfriend(I cant remember her name)

They were the main characters of this game, their story is fairly simple, boyfriend will meet a lot of people and have a singing battle against them.

Yes, very simple, but the thing is, as the player progress the more difficult the game will be, the game has two modes, the Story Mode and Free mode.

Their names are already self explanatory so no need to waste things explaining about them.

Creating the game actually very simple, except for getting the music and the character in the rhythm proved a little difficult but this actually took Cryd 3 days to finish, faster than ehat he had estimated.

"Looks like I underestimated myself once again"

Cryd couldn't help but be proud, anyway, since he still has a few more days remaining till the deadline he put on himself.

He decided to add more music into the game, Cryd still remembers most of the music from the game, especially the ones he like.

M.I.L.F, Dad Battle, Pico, and more(they are my personal preference) and because of these additions Cryd didnt have to change the story mode anymore! Well… he mostly added the musics from the first week.

Also to add voices to the character, Cryd has to record himself doing sounds and pinch it up or down if necessary.

In the blink of an eye, two weeks has passed and Cryd has finally finished the game, while he was at it too, he added the christmas and new year theme in the game.

He has already checked for bugs and played test it a lot and after making sure everything is alright, Cryd nodded in satisfaction.

He looked at the time and saw only a few minutes is left before christmas, Cryd then packaged his game and visited the Official Play Store.

Official Playstore is run by the Game Association so it was very trusted, Cryd decided to make his game free, no ads, and no in game purchases, not like he needed money.

Anyway, Cryd made it completely free but to play other songs, players must collect coins which is done by completing songs in the free play or in the story mode, he didn't really care about money, he just has too much but well, his future will be paid but for this game, it was just a game he made for fun.

Cryd then arranged the game to be released at exactly 12 am in the morning.

After he was done, Cryd stretched his stiff body, he has done nothing but sleep and sit in front of the computer for the past few days.

What can ge do? This is the lifestyle of a game developer and he was rushing after the deadline too.

He didn't really need to rush but the pressure of urgency made him motivated and work hard for the game.

Cryd then washed himself in his bathroom before changing into some expensive casual clothes and made his way to the dinner room.

There his grandpa and Nagi are already waiting with a huge feast on the table, Cryd sat beside Nagi and while they were at it too, they invited the servants to join them in their christmas celebration.

This kind of event must be celebrated with everyone, soon, while waiting, they chatted with each other, mostly his grandpa and Nagi were curious what Cryd was dping joling himself inside his room for two weeks.

Cryd happily told them what he did and also told thek about the game he made, this piqued their interest and they couldn't help but search it up but it didnt appear.

Cryd couldn't help but chuckle and let them know the game will be released on 12 am, unfortunately for Nagi, she has to go to sleep at that time so she couldn't play it first which made her angry and sad.

Cryd laughed and consoled her.

Soon, it was christmas and the game is officially released.
