Dancers twirled around on the dance floor while the sound of mirth and laughter from patrons nearby echoed in Lady Kaoma's ears.
That was not the cause of her distress and the reason why her ear lobes reddened.
It was the fact that she was struggling to maintain her temper and not cause a scene by slapping Prince Reginald in the face.
Then storming off from his side in the wake of her anger knowing full well that he did not deserve her company.
"Prince Maxixe was nothing but a child when that happened," she sputtered, "how.. How can you blame an innocent child and not hold your father accountable for -"
Prince Reginald interrupted her before she could continue her rebuttal. "Don't talk to me about playing innocent when you are obviously no stranger to scandal yourself," he murmured. "No wonder you fit in with that infuriating family so well."
"Just what are you going on about now," she inquired aghast.
