Zoom's Capture

The players who eyed Zoom with sharp blades in their eyes halted as they noticed Winter's presence and the additional info that they had realised after they looked closely at this player named Zoom.

'He's part of Snow!' They gritted their teeth at the realisation. They all wore cloaks and had their identities hidden therefore if they were fast enough they could capture Zoom before Winter could find out about their identities therefore evading the possibility of their guild receiving the wrath of Snow.

But Winter was a powerhouse, they may be elites but they couldn't possibly outmatch Winter.

'Why is she not moving?' Players were confused as they looked at Winter who was fixating her stare towards Zoom.

'It's a chance!' The players had their eyes widen at the realisation but it was too late.

Five cloaked players rushed past the group of players who were eyeing Zoom.

Who were these five cloaked players? Roneal, another vice guild master of Snow and three more elites from his secret faction.

If Zoom was truly a part of Snow that was under Winter's grasp and protection then Zoom wouldn't have needed to send an anonymous message to Lem. This meant that Zoom was just the average guild member who hasn't yet fully joined Snow.

This was good news since nothing was in their way. Even one of them could easily capture a level 34 player with ease much less five of them.

They were fast on their feet as it was too late for Zoom who had reacted too late. The five cloaked players grabbed him and fully restrained him making him unable to move. He couldn't utter a word after his mouth was sealed by a piece of cloth.

Quickly one of the players pulled out a blue orb that started to light brightly.

Winter who was watching everything from a distance went out of her daze and said, "How dare you!..." With her brows furrowed she rushed towards the five players with a hardened fist ready to smack them to a pulp.

Zoom looked at the players around him and also realised that Winter was coming his way, her fist clenched and ready to strike.

'Really?! Did she also come to capture me?' Zoom's brows furrowed at the idea.

The cloaked players looked at Winter with a bit of worries before their view was eclipsed by the bright light that soon disappeared together with Zoom and the five cloaked players.

The onlookers were surprised and confused at what happened. The players who were here to capture Zoom could only blame themselves for being to cowardly. They were bound to expect a scolding or worse a punishment from their superiors.

How could they fail such an important task!

Argh! They could only blame themselves as they sighed.

Winter was flabbergasted, she was too dazed to realised the presence of the players who were suppose to be capturing Zoom. With a serious expression she glared at the onlooking players who didn't look straight into her eye.

They didn't stay for long and left before Winter could do anything of harm to them. Luckily Winter didn't chase them where they breathed a sigh of relief.

But now that one of the cloaked men was captured only the other cloaked man was left. They were referring to Davie who was still on the run. The mount of players station in every corner was very surprising. Over four hundred players were on his tail as he continued to run at full speed.

He was twenty levels higher than these players and wore better gear which gave him the ability to easily out run the horde of players who specialised in agility.

While the players were trying to catch up to Davie, Zoom was being held and tied down. Chains wrapped around his body as he couldn't move while a piece of cloth was covering his mouth.

He was too arrogant and let his guard down, he shouldn't have underestimated them. Now all he could do is try to find a way to escape.

"What do we do with him sir? Turn him into a slave or bring him to our side?"

"We'll bring him into our side."

"But what if he refuses sir? What should we do next?"

"If he won't join our side then... He'll become our slave, simple."

Zoom only listened to their conversation from afar while he thought of a plan to escape.

There were more than two hundred players who were around him and guarding the area. The place Zoom was in looked like a castle made of slate bricks that were enhanced by enchantments.

They could be on the surface or underground with the latter being a worse case scenario. Even if he summoned all five of his summons that were available Zoom didn't think they were enough to break past the hundreds of players here.

And even if they did break past the players would they be able to leave this place? Zoom wasn't sure where they were, they could be underground or under the sea for all he knew.

Now that breaking past the players was a terrible plan Zoom would only resort to such in the worst case scenario. But now Zoom had another plan.

This was the plan Zoom had long since come up if he ever faced this kind of situation. It was his ace in the hole.

What was this plan you ask?

Zoom would simply summon his summons and order them to kill him. After his death he would spawn back away from this wretched place.

But why didn't Zoom use such a plan awhile ago. Couldn't Zoom just summon his summons and order them to kill him in front of the nearby players.

One, killing was not allowed in the city.

Two, a player killing themselves to escape a capture and spawn to safety would result in devastating repercussions.

The repercussions that were known were as follows.

Losing two of the items you are currently wearing (Random)

Losing some of your items in your inventory (The more valuable the item the higher the chance that they would be surrendered to the system)

The first one wasn't as bad since Zoom was using his saber but the second repercussion meant that the possibility of his bone staff being lost was high. It was a gamble. If Zoom hadn't been arrogant he wouldn't have been in this scenario.

But for now Zoom is trying to find another solution. If he couldn't come up with any in the near future them he would execute his plan into action.
