Failed To Log In

And just thinking about it more and more Lucas was getting severe headaches. If he wants to solve the mysteries then he needed the goblin in front of him to survive. The idiot had to survive. If the goblin died then he didn't know what would happen to him as the VR set had been absorbed by the goblin. And to know more about the legendary weapons and the cursed weapons it sounded like Rei had to become strong and the strongest.

-"The more I think about it the more it sounds like a cliche novel's plot sigh,"- Lucas said.

'Still can't understand a single word of yours…', Rei said.

-"Because you are a brainless moron."-

'Still can't understand.' And so their chit-chatting continued.

It wasn't long before they reached an area close to Baramun's settlement.

"Now I guess we should carry out our plan," Rei said as he looked at the place where the party was going on. It was a party of the orcs. They were eating food and drinking booze.

It wouldn't have been long before they would all be wasted.

This was Rei's plan. Once all the orcs were completely drunk, they would poison their foods and drinks.

Of course, the Orcs wouldn't eat or drink right away, but once they woke up, they would surely gobble up the leftovers, after all, Rei had never seen any orc waste any chunk of meat.

The goblins thought that the plan was quite easy and they could finish the mission and head back quickly, but little did they know it was not that simple!

If it was that easy, then the Spies that were sent earlier would have been more than enough to do the task. Why need more goblins? – the goblins failed to think about this, but Rei was not one of them.

He had already guessed what the Orc Chief Rout wanted to do but was still not entirely sure about it.

-"I commend you for realizing the Orc chief's plan, of course, with my help."- Lucas said.

Listening to Lucas's words, Rei asked, 'Are you complimenting me or yourself?'

-"Myself of course."-

Veins popped up on Rei's forehead as he heard Lucas say this.

Regardless, Lucas still genuinely thought that Rei was smarter than other goblins.

Once the Orcs were wasted, Rei and the goblins carried out their plan.

They quickly yet steadily marched into the trapless settlement.

"Well everyone has to be care full from now. Super careful. You have to carefully and stealthily poison the food of these orcs and make sure not to be spotted by them." Rei said in a barely audible voice.

Since goblins were able to camouflage in the night, they had an advantage in this situation, but still, Rei repeatedly told them not to be reckless or overestimate themselves after all this was a matter of life and death where the chances of death were much higher.

After making a solid plan and with the help of their camouflage skill they invaded the place.

Rei said the scouts to find the place where all the food was. The scout goblins stealthily started to scout the place and within five minutes they successfully found the place. It was in the cave which was right in the middle of the place.

But at that time Rei was met with another problem. Since these orcs had an extreme sense of smell they would be easily distinguished that the food is mixed with poison and Rei was sure that this was not a special scentless poison as he already smelled it. It had a very bad smell and after smelling it Rei was sure this was created to catch attention.

Of course, by sniffing it if goblins weren't poisoned, then no Orc would be poisoned which meant that their scent had no function other than catching attention!

Nonetheless, he couldn't do anything about it. They all stealthily entered the cave but at that moment, Rei's eyes widened.

"Gaburu!" He screamed as he looked at the foolish goblin with a bunch of other fools dashing toward the giant hut.

He himself was surprised by how he raised his voice. Fortunately, no orc woke up because of his shout.

"You!", Rei called him but was only met with the smirk of the goblin.

'I will kill the Orc Chief Baramun with the poison while he is sleeping.'

'Kuku, I will reap the rewards that were supposed to go to Rei for being the leader of the mission!'

-"And he is supposed to be smart?"- Lucas couldn't express his disappointment when he saw Gaburu just run straight towards the hut.

Rei dashed with all his might. He wanted to stop Gaburu before it was too late, however, before he could cover even half the distance, he heard Lucas say – "Don't try to stop them, you idiot!"-

-"If they want to die, then just let them go!"-

-"Let that fucker Gaburu die!"-

-"Don't take any rash actions and just enter the game. That way you would be safe."-

"But…", Rei was confused and didn't want to listen to any of Lucas' words.

However, even he realized that he was already somewhat late as Gaburu had already entered the hut.

The signs of mission failure were becoming much more evident.

-"Not buts. Just log in!"- Lucas raised his voice, asking Rei to listen to him.

"Log in."

[Do you want to enter TLOW?]

[Yes/No.]

"Yes."

After saying this, Rei expected that his consciousness would fade away once again until reappeared in the different world, but to his surprise, such a thing didn't occur.

In fact, he opened his eyes and blinked at least twice or thrice only to realize that he couldn't log in.

'This…?', he was confused and wanted to ask Lucas about this, but before he could even form a sentence, Lucas started cursing.

-"Shit! Fuck! No! This can't possibly be happening now!"- Lucas kept cursing for about a minute or two, not even letting Rei ask his question.

The reason? It was simple.
