CHAPTER- 11

at haveli after having dinner,everyone went to there rooms ,but joo-won went to meera's room.

I was changing my clothes when someone knocked on my door.

I was scared and quickly wore my dress and opened the door slowly.

seeing joo-won I sighed .

"what happened.....why are you sighing like that????? ",joo-won asked .

"nothing just tired ....come in ..",I said moving aside for him to come in.

joo-won came in and sat on the couch beside the window..

I closed the door and sat infront of him.

"what happened.....why did you come???",I asked as he was looking like he wanted to say something.

"today you were...not looking well so I wanted to ask you is everything alright??",joo-won asked me.

"yeah...I am fine,what happened to me???",I said .

"you know.....today when you disappeared from the fort I was scared to death.. I mean Ron and your friends were scared to death, they were really happy to see you come back ",joo-won said without looking towards me.

"ok...so Ron and my friends were scared for me, what about Mr Joo-won???",I asked teasing him.

"even ....I was scared a little..like you suddenly disappeared from the fort and then came back from behind the bushes...so I was scared that you...",joo-won said looking too cute to handle.

"you...were scared that I will become that queen's next prey ???",I said laughing.

"no...I was genuinely concerned about you.....I thought you would leave....and then you came back from the bushes, I was relieved to see you back...I mean everyone was....,by the way where did you go.....you didn't say there was any temple like that there",Joo-won said.

"actually even I don't know...",I said.

"what do you mean...",Joo-won asked.

"I don't remember how I went there,I just remember entering the fort with you guys and then I asked rose to go on and that I will join them later after that I remember I sat under the tree nearby....but I don't know how I fell asleep and when I woke up I was in a strange room which was fully dark and there was just a old statue placed on the marble slab...I got up and tried to find my way back...I realised that place was behind the fort..it was a old temple which was sealed off by some thorny bushes..I don't remember How I got there..what happened ",I said keeping my hand on my forehead out of frustration.

"then why did you say that you went to the temple to pray???",joo-won asked.

"I didn't wanted to bother my friends so....",I said.

"something is wrong right????there is something which is bothering you ",joo-won said looking at me worriedly.

I thought of what happened today and sighed out of frustration.

"come let's go...",joo-won said getting up from the couch.

"where....???", I asked .

"just come with me ....",he said clinging on to my hand.

"but where???, are you out of your mind joo-won,do you know what time is it right now???it is almost midnight, where do you wanna go ??",I said.

"listening to horror stories on the water tank's terrace....",joo-won said

"have you gone nuts....",I said looking at him shocked.

"come let's go...",he said then grabbed my hand and pulled me. I resisted for a while then gave up as I thought it could be a nice way to divert my mind from it.

I followed him out everybody was sound asleep, just a little noise and we will wake them up.

then I unknowingly hit the table vase near me so it made sound.

"shh.....someone will wake up ", he whispered into my ear.

"sorry.....I know ", I whispered back.

"let's go quickly.....",joo-won said.

"ok....", I said and then we went out from back door.

"come....."he said and we were walking towards the water tank.

we were crossing road when I heard someone calling my name from behind.

"meera.....?? wait where are you going???" ,he said and that voice sounded familiar .

I turned back to see as to who it was....

but the moment I turned I was shocked it was joo-won.....then who is that, who is with me.

I again turned back to person who was holding my hand .

he looked like aniket but his face was very scary it looked like it was decomposed by time all his skin was just hanging down .

his eyes filled with blood and he was wearing the same clothes red hoodie and blue pants.

I was shook and was standing in between the road dumbstruck.

I felt like I couldn't move or speak anything ,but I was able to hear joo-won shouting from behind he was far away from me,but I could hear his voice perfectly.

then aniket leaned on me as he was hugging me.

and whispered into my ears in very creepy and scary voice.

"I told you right.....that you will pay for what you have done....I will take you away with me meera...",he said.

and I struggled to move or shout but it was of no use.

he started laughing but his voice changed it was not like aniket....

the truck from the front was approaching us .....I was trying to free myself from all that but he was holding on me so tightly that I could barely move.

my heartbeat was getting stronger and stronger as the truck was approaching nearer and nearer .

I closed my eyes cause I realised there is no way I could escape this.

I closed my eyes waiting for my death I could hear joo-won running towards me and asking me get away from here,and also that creature laughing.

"meera...!!! meera.....step aside....",joo-won was shouting as he was running towards meera.

but before he could reach there the truck did and hit meera badly.....🚚🚚

joo-won saw her body lying down stained with blood and glass pieces from the truck's headlights stuck onto her body and neck badly.

joo-won rushed towards her crying badly sat near her body.

and from shaking hands he picked her up placing her head in his lap carefully.

"meera....meera.....wake up...wake up please....please ",joo-won said crying and hugging her.

"meera...",he started crying badly hugging her.

it started raining as if even the sky was sharing its sorrow and tears with joo-won.

he picked meera in bridal style and started running like a maniac and asking people for lifts.

"stop....please....stop someone ",joo-won said crying to a car passing by.

"stop please....something will happen to her.....please...", he said to another car passing by but it didn't stop.

then he went and stood infront of a car.

the car stopped a lady came out from the car with two more people.

"oh my God... is it you joo-won....oh my God I am your big fan....what happened..????",She asked joo-won.

"s..s..she got into an accident can you please drop us to the hospital please...",joo-won asked the lady crying and begging her badly.

that lady and her friends saw how badly meera was hurt so they let him sit inside without wasting any time.

joo-won sat on the seat behind still holding onto meera and not leaving her for even a second.....

crying badly.....

he then wiped his tears but were replaced by new one after another...

"don't worry nothing will happen to you.....meera I know it is hurting just hang on for a while please....",he said to meera and cleaned the blood from her forehead by using his handkerchief.

"please drive faster..... please ",joo-won said to man driving the car.

"yes....don't worry just five minutes and we'll be in the hospital...",that man responded back.

they haven't reached the hospital yet and joo-won was really anxious and scared.....he was really afraid if something happens to her today he will lose her forever.

he was begging to God to save her.....

"please stay with me...please meera stay with me.....",he said crying and hugging her badly.

then they reached the city hospital....

"doctor...doctor.... please someone help.....!!!!!",joo-won went in and started shouting for help .....

and one of the girl who was in the car with them was making a video of all this.

nurses and doctors came panicking ....

"what happened.....???",the doctor asked checking meera's pulse.

"s..she was hit by a truck....",joo-won said trying to hold back his tears.

"oh God.....sister prepare the OT and also contact dr mishra from neurology department be quick...",doctor said then nurses rushed meera towards OT. joo-won also followed them as he was still holding onto meera's hand.

"sir please stay back ....",nurses said as they reached the doors of OT..

nurses took meera in the Operation theatre...

and the operation started.

joo-won sat on the Bench outside hiding his face from his hands and crying.

he was feeling so helpless at that point, that he couldn't even think about something else.

because today a person who pulled him out of depression and whose songs and videos gave him inspiration to live was at stake.,

and he wasn't even able to do anything to save her.

"please stay with me.....meera please don't leave me alone....I will never forgive you if you leave me today please ,,please be okay...please be fine",Joo-won was murmuring to himself.

2 hours passed just like that.....and still nurses were running in and out of the room ..

and whenever joo-won tried to ask them something they just kept doing their work..

in the meantime the video shot by the girl ,was already viral..everywhere.

Ron, meera's mother and all her friends reached there after getting the news....

meera's mom walked up to joo-won and asked him "how..did.this happened...where is meera???",meera's mom asked him tearing up.

"I..I don't know auntie.....I saw her sneaking out at night so I went behind her....then I saw her getting hit by a truck...she is in the OT right now....",joo-won said crying.

meera's mom started crying after hearing him.

"what are you saying.....and why didn't you call us when all this happened??",Ron asked joo-won worriedly.

"I don't know.....when I saw her like that I was shocked and just wanted her to be safe.....I brought her to the hospital she was bleeding badly...and I just didn't knew what to do...",joo-won said sitting on the bench his clothes were all red stained by her blood .

do-woon sat on the bench beside joo-won and hugged him.

meera's mom was crying badly and Ron and Emily were trying to calm her down...

all the fans and media gathered outside the hospital ,and were trying to break in but the police were holding them back.

next morning around 7 am the OT's doors opened and doctors came out.

"doctor how is she is she fine...????she is alright right????",ron asked walking towards the doctor...

"right now it is hard to say anything patient was brought here in a very bad condition, she had a tremendous blood loss, and a severe injury in brain that caused heavy bleeding and swelling in the brain ,also the glass pieces went quite deep into her throat affecting her vocal cords, we have stopped the internal bleeding somehow but it is possible that it might occur again .we have saved her for now but she is still in coma,and as to when will patient wake up it is hard to say, she survived it is a miracle itself.....but there is a bad news ",doctor said explaining to them.

"what is it????....",joo-won and Ron asked the doctor worriedly.

"it may affect her singing and even normal day to day conversations ",doctor said.

"no...it can't be true, she loves singing, music is her world it is not true ",Ron said tearing up.

next day meera's father arrived at the hospital.

"how all this happened???",meera's father asked meera's mom .

she hugged him and started crying .

"don't cry janaki .....our daughter will be fine...",akash jai singh (meera's father) said patting on her wife's back.
