Chapter 37: Megumin: I didn't have a wet dream of you!

Hiroki was currently standing outside Megumin's house with a guitar on hand, trying to check the strings and nervously pacing himself back and forth as he really didn't want to do this.

He tried to head back, only to spot Yunyun hiding in some bushes, with a knife to her hand as she was pointing the knife on a watermelon before Hiroki decide to head back to Megumin's before Yunyun might not even hesitate anymore.

"Oh Notch, I hope Megumin forgive me..."

After that incident, Megumin had been stuck at her home as Yunyun ask Hiroki to apologize which he tried to reason that it was Megumin's fault that it happen. He tried to reason to her that it was just a prop to make himself look cool which he added that function, to make his cape sway in the wind but it unexpectedly backfires and made Megumin stop going outside.

"Its still your fault Hiroki, Megumin was totally embarrassed about what you did. Even if it wasn't your fault. At least try and cheer her up." Yunyun continues to put pressure on Hiroki as he didn't seem to care about Megumin at all. After all, she usually beats him up and now he has to apologize to her after what is essentially her fault? Hiroki might not have any pride but at least he has some opinion about not taking things to his own actions to a fault.

"I, Hiroki, am not going to apologize!" He said it to Yunyun as she sighed and just walks away.

Only to come back with a knife and watermelon in her hand.

"Y-yunyun? W-what's with the knife and why are you holding Richard..?" He started sweating as he could see the knife being close to 'Richard' as Yunyun had her eyes widen.

"You name your watermelons?!"

"You don't name the things you worshipped?!"

"*Cough* If you don't apologize, I'll cut 'Richard' in half and offer it to Megumin." Yunyun inches the knife closer as Hiroki shudders and nervously tries to negotiate with her.

"L-listen Yunyun. W-we can talk this out. Just drop the knife and let go of Richar-"

"If you don't apologize to Megumin, Richard is going to the dogs!" Yunyun didn't want to hesitate as she really treasures her friendship with Megumin but she also didn't want to continue fighting with Hiroki like this.

She wanted to have her friends reconcile since she really treasures them both and didn't want them to continue bickering.

One way to make them reconcile was having Hiroki do it.

Even though he was stubborn at times, if he comes to desperation, he would apologize to Megumin first. Plus, even if Yunyun were to threaten Hiroki, he would forgive her later on even if she harms the things he cares about. He might get angry at Yunyun for doing this but he would soon forget what she did after apologizing to him later on. Its not that Hiroki is easily forgiving but there are times he needs to step down and apologize...

But a grudge was still a grudge. Yunyun might think Hiroki is a forgiving person, but sometimes he held a grudge and would put the names of people he held grudges in a notebook only he knew.

Short-term or long-term, once he puts a persons name in that book, he will held a grudge until he wipes it off himself.

But he held that off as he tried to negotiate with Yunyun, like a hostage situation about to go bad.

"L-lets not get hasty now. I can apologize to Megumin but you need to drop the knife Yunyun. Richard is too young to be done like this."

"O-okay." Realizing that it was a bit too much for her to do after realizing that even though it wasn't Hiroki's fault, she was just forcing him to reconcile with Megumin without taking to his feelings in account.

He has been supportive of her since becoming her friend, trying to help her befriend people, making new friends and even helped ease up her loneliness, not realizing that how much he had help her but still ended up harming him instead of thanking him.

Right as she regretted her actions, she ended up slipping as the watermelon ended up sliding from her hand and fell on the ground.

Hiroki tried to react and saved the watermelon but he also slipped and ended up landing above the watermelon and crushing it with his entire body because of it.

Yunyun felt a bit bad after what she had caused and tried to apologize but Hiroki...

"RICHARD!!!"

-Present Time-

While the incident had mentally scared Hiroki, he still ended up doing what Yunyun asked as he really felt that it might be serious if Megumin was really traumatize on that incident.

"Well, Megumin is still young and also a girl. So I should really take up the responsibilities for that, even though it isn't my fault." Hiroki muttered silently, avoiding being heard as he process about what was he going to do.

He thought of many ways to apologize but one particular way was to head into her home in the middle of the night and sing a song at her bedroom window.

'Traditional way of mending a friendship...or was it courting a women in her home? Meh, lets just wing it. Maybe they won't know this since its they don't know its famous back in my past life.' Hiroki thought as he walked behind the house as he has been exploring the place when he visited her house at that time.

Reaching to the window of her room, he decided to sit behind her window as he lift up the guitar and started strumming it to check its string.

"Well, I hope that my singing skills haven't regressed..."

-Megumin's POV-

Megumin was currently dreaming of casting explosion, one after another, creating a beautiful orange colors of destruction in her way.

From Goblins to the Demon King himself, she unleashes a colorful blast of explosive might through her magic.

"Wahaha! I am Megumin, the number one strongest magician in all the lands. The Arch-wizard who can even Defeat the Demon King himself. Bow before the might of the strongest magic I can cast!" She continues to throw explosion magic one after another as she grew excited at the might of being able to cast an infinite amount of magic, all dedicated to using the strongest Explosion magic she could wield endlessly.

Though everything changes as she ended up in her home to which she was confused about why she was brought here from her dream until the door opens up as Hiroki look at her with a smile on her face.

"Did you have fun using your explosion magic again?" Hiroki took a step back as he gestures Megumin to come in as she had a confused look on her face before pointing angrily at him.

"W-why are you here?!" She glares daggers straight towards him as he looked at her confused, thinking she had forgotten about it at some point.

"Huh? Don't tell me...you forgot that we're married right?"

"Eh?" She looked at him confused before a blush came to her face as he only smiled at her and pushed her inside.

"Com'on Megumin. You really scared me there. How can you forget that we ended up married for 3 years now? I even have to take care of Hiromin while you're out there casting explosion magic everyday?" Hiroki let her sit down as she saw that there was a young girl beside her with a matching looks of her while having a cute smile which made Megumin feel warm.

Hiroki began talking about the memories they had together as how it started on how they met, to how they bonded together with Yunyun, both of them graduating school and went to become adventurers, having to deal with all sort of shenanigans until the moment where Hiroki ended up confessing to her and watching Yunyun get married to a guy while she ended up being married to Hiroki.

They grow closer, have some couple fights but ended up reconciling in the end. How Hiromin was born and how they still love each other.

Megumin felt this as she slowly became more and more aware at how she was truly fortunate that she ended up falling for him and how he had been treating her and her family well.

"Megumin, How I truly am glad that I had confess to you..." Hiroki held her hand as she slowly went red but seeing how serious his gaze was on her, she slowly feel captivated by the gaze of his as she slowly began to inch closer to him.

"Hiroki...I..." Yet, when they are almost an inch to kiss...

"Come back here you li'l s***! I'll skin you and make you a material for my magic tools for trying to make a ruckus at night!" She ended up waking up in shock as she could hear her father yelling while hearing a familiar person running away.

"I swear I was just trying to apologize to Megumin! I wasn't trying to court her or anything!" Hiroki made some excuses while being chased around before the the distant noises became farther and went silent in the end.

"W-what was that...?" Megumin's face reddened after remembering that crazy dream she had as she thought she went crazy after yesterday's incident.

But when she felt the wet sensation just below her...

"..." She couldn't help but feel her face becoming redder as she still recalls that dream and how she....
