Lexine looked tempted, and her mind was a little conflicted. What if she accepted what this empress wanted and she was killed on the spot. She looked up at the empress, a frown on her face. "Let us hear what it is you have to offer first. Don't you agree?"
The empress almost laughed at the caution Lexine seemed to have around her. Who did not know how humans were simply war machines. That was the reason that they were able to win the war against their species those many years before. This human was nothing like she would have thought. There was a smile on her face as she watched Lexine proceed around her with caution.
This much caution the empress could allow, therefore she took Lexine's hand and guided her to one of the beds.
The one who lay on the bed they had walked to was a man who was dark-skinned. His hair had been shorn close to his head and he had a frown even in his sleep. The most eye-catching thing about this man was the thing that was on his face.
