Taking Care of the Twins

"Can I stay here?" Riku asked and she blinked her eyes a few times. She quickly pushed him off and sat on the couch properly. She can feel her cheeks burning. She must be crazy for thinking unholy things.

"Why would you stay here? You have your own place." She got up and went to the kitchen to get some water. She knows that they kissed at the library earlier but it doesn’t mean he can stay there as if he is already her boyfriend.

"Let’s invite the twins for a sleepover. I’m sure they will love it. We can also do movie marathon." He suggested and she thought about it. She is sure that the twins will enjoy it but she is hesitating to accept it.

"Okay. If you behave, I’ll message them now." He quickly raised his right hand while smiling widely, swearing that he will behave. She heaved a deep sigh and got her phone from her bag to contact the twins.

She looked at the clock and noticed how the time flies so fast. She opened the fridge and looked if she has enough ingredients for tonight’s dinner. When she looked at him, she saw him leaning on the dining table with his arms crossed.

"I’ll pay for the dinner tonight. Don’t worry. Do you think the twins will like pizza?" He went back to the living room and looked around if she has some movie collections. He found some and he placed the DVD cases on the coffee table.

“They will love it. After all, they are still kids.” She followed him and sat on the couch. She received a reply from the twins that they are already on their way to her apartment.

"We are here now~" Mizuki chanted when they finally arrived at Ichika's apartment. Her eyes twinkled when she saw a large box of pizza on the coffee table.

She threw her bag on the couch and opened the pizza box. It is an all-meat pizza! She smiled widely and took a slice. She hummed softly while munching the first bite.

"You like that?" Riku asked and she nodded her head many times. Ichika glared at the younger with her arms folded close to her chest.

"We will have a movie marathon?" Makoto saw the DVD cases besides the pizza box and looked at it one by one.

"Yes, babies. Make yourselves full with the pizza and just tell me what you want to drink." The twins smiled in delight and Riku chuckled softly.

"Lemon juice!" The twins said at the same time and she went to the kitchen to get it for them. Riku followed her and wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her from behind.

"You sound like my wife with the twins as our babies." He said in a low voice and she nudged him using her elbow.

"Excuse me, Yamada Riku-san. You're still courting me, if you have forgotten." She looked at him with a raised brow. She got the large bottle of lemon juice and then, she took two glasses from the dish rack.

"I know, I know. I'm just feeling amused with what I'm seeing around." He helped her with the lemon juice and then, he brought it to the twins.

"Let's start the movie marathon?" He smiled at them and the twins nodded their heads furiously.

Mizuki is now asleep with her head on her shoulder. She carefully moved her body and settled her head on her lap. It is almost nine and they finished three movies already. She looked at Makoto and saw him almost falling asleep.

She nudged Riku gently who is still immersed on watching the movie on the television screen. He looked at her and she gestured to carry Mizuki to the bedroom already. He stood up and carefully carried the younger in his arm to bring her to the bedroom. She gently patted Makoto's shoulder and gestured to follow Mizuki.

After tucking the twins to the bed, they went out of the bedroom and silently closed the door. She yawned, feeling sleepy as well but she felt Riku's arms around her waist. She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes instead.

"Sleepy?" Riku mumbled and she nodded her head. He kissed her temples and snuggled her while walking back to the couch.

He paused the movie and turned the television off. Then, he cleaned the coffee table and threw the trashes to the bin at the kitchen. He also washed the used glasses and placed it on the dish rack. After that, he went back to the living room, seeing Ichika already asleep on the couch.

He went back to the bedroom again and looked for extra blankets. He found one inside the closet and since the couch is large enough for both of them; he turned the lights off already and lied down besides her.

He stared at her sleeping face for a few minutes after covering their bodies with the blankets. He gently pulled her closer and hugged her in his arms. He smiled softly and heaved a sigh of relief.

He remembered how he met her. He saw her standing outside the university premises for almost five minutes and he also waited for her to get inside until he decided to bump her intentionally to bring her back to the reality.

She was dazing but he saw that she is nervous over something. When he completely saw her, he got her finally in love. She became the most beautiful for him. It is love at first sight.

He got his hug tight around her. He heard her grunting but he smiled when she wrapped her arm around him. He placed a kiss on her forehead and followed her to the dreamland already.

The two jolted from their sleep when they suddenly heard cries from the bedroom. They rushed inside and saw Mizuki crying while holding her stomach. Makoto is trying to ask her what is happening but she is just pushing him away because of too much pain.

"Mizuki, we will bring you to the hospital." Ichika said but the younger shook her head. Makoto said that she doesn't like going to hospitals.

"Get hot compress. Also, prepare warm tea." She said to the two boys and they quickly went to the kitchen to prepare what she said.

"Mizuki, where does it hurt?" She tried to press the younger's stomach and she whimpered in pain. She pulled the blankets off and looked if she is bleeding but she is not.

Mizuki cried more and now, Ichika is feeling bad. It must be very painful since she is also having cold sweats. After a few minutes, the boys went back with the hot compress and warm tea. She placed the hot compress on Mizuki's stomach and she slowly stopped from moving too much.

She helped Mizuki sit up on the bed to make her drink the warm tea. Makoto gave the mug and after a few sips, she lied her down on the bed again. The pain seems to be easing already.

"It must be stomach cramps and indigestion. Can you cook some breakfast?" She looked at Riku and he nodded his head.
