Chapter 17: Sport's Festival(2)

"The First year stage" "Students are coming out!!"

"The U.A. Sports festival!! The one time each year when out Fledgling heroes compete in a ruthless grand battle!!!"

"The First Years of the Hero Course!!"

The crowd erupted in chants, 

"Whoaaa What a crowd" Midoriya said in a shaky voice

"I suppose this is merely one more necessary skill if we hope to become heroes. And we're expected to put on the best performance we can in front of so many people."

"They are really hoping too much from us…but we won't let it shake us, right, Bakugo?" Kirishima said

"Nope. Just gets me pumped up"

"A crowd this big is worthy of seeing my magnificent performance 10 points"

"From when did you became narcissistic?" Toru exclaimed

"Following class B, It's classes C, D and E of general studies"

"And here comes the support course classes F, G, H and the business course…"

Everyone lined up at the center in front of a stage, The first year's ref was R-rated hero, Midnight.

She invited the first year's representative, Katsuki Bakugo for the Athlete's Oath.

The class 1-A was in panic, all of them knew about his personality and aware though he was short-tempered and arrogant he wouldn't do something stupid in front of so many people.

Would he?

"Make no mistake. I'm gonna take the first place!!"

Bakugo +5 points. Izayoi wouldn't have said any less than that.

There goes all the hopes placed on him.

"Don't get cocky, class A"

"You dirty bastard"

"Why must you show contempt for the dignity of this event?!" Iida said in a serious tone which fell to deaf ears

"You'll all make a great stepping stones, I'd say."

"Overconfident Jerk!! I will crush him" Tetsutetsu said in a annoyed manner

"Now, Without any delay lets get the first event started." Midnight announced

"These are the qualifiers! It's in this stage that so many are sent home crying every year!!"

"And the fateful first event this year is OBSTACLE COURSE RACE"

A race between all members of eleven classes. A four kilometer Lap around the stadium filled with all kinds of traps and tricks.

Everything is allowed as long as the student don't go off track.

"ON YOUR MARK!"

"GO!!"

With the signal 198 students from eleven classes began.

Todoroki froze the land, many were stuck in the entrance alone.

"I ain't letting you get ahead half 'n' half"

Bokugo shouted as he used his explosion quirk to propel himself in the air at a fast pace.

Mina used his acid to slide on the ground, Momo made a ice skated for the ice covered area.

Class B students were also catching up after un-icing themselves.

Izayoi was also running in front.

[Multiple Targets Acquired]

"Here comes the Faux Villains. Obstacle course Race needs Obstacles, of course"

"Starting the first barrier, Robo Inferno"

"Seriously, who is paying them to built such things" Momo commented

"I was hoping for something more challenging" Todoroki said as he iced an entire robot in his track before escaping past him.

"Let go though there, the robot is frozen"

"Bad Idea. I froze him in pretty unstable position. So it will probably fall"

CRASH!!

"That Bastard!!" Everyone curssed

Izayoi picked a broken part of the giant robot and threw at the one obstructing him and jumped over it.

Bokugo used his explosion quirk to skillfully maneuver through them avoiding hits through the sky.

'Taking them down will consume time' he thought

Sero and Tokoyami soon followed him

Kirishima and Tetsutesu were crushed below the frozen robot but they avoided injuries.

Jiro used her quirk to immobile the robots by destroying the internal circuit.

Momo created a cannon to deal with the robots.

Iida was fast enough to dodge the robots he also took the same route as Izayoi using robots as platform to jump over them.

"Class A is leading the race, they know there is no time to hesitate. Each has grown from that experience and forgotten how to hesitate."

Izuku picked a part of robot to use it as shield, and attacking the vulnerable parts of the robots to get past them.

"It looks like the first obstacle was too easy for our students, How about the next? Fall and you're out"

For Tsuyu this was an easy mode, a support student made some grappling claws which she called her babies also passed easy peasy.

Todoroki was sliding on the rope, Bakugo was like a flying squirrel hopping from one checkpoint to other through air.

Izayoi passed the first few platforms by sliding the rope in assassins creed style but when he saw the lead between himself Bakugo and Todoroki he began jumping between the platforms with full force.

A/N: I won't say I am good at what I do, writing is all about improving and I will try my best to do so.

I would appreciate if you would point any grammatical or syntactical errors .

The chapters won't be long as I hate the over the top description that how every single leaf of the looks, feels then onto branches then the tree as whole.
