Chapter 3: Meaning [1/2]

It was a weekend morning.

[Oii, Mahiru! Are you not coming today]

Mommy is talking to auntie Fuyumi on the phone and doing the dishes. I was listening to their conversation while finishing my breakfast.

[Umm..sorry Fuyumi but I promised Mahi that I will spend time with him today]

Mommy answered looking into my eyes. But auntie's next word startled mommy.

[Mahi's there! Bring him along. He never saw us in action]

~Beep~Hanging up the phone mom asked me if I was interested to go in the ice rink with her.

As I was very interested cause I never skated in an actual rink.

"Will you teach me the moves that we couldn't do in the frozen lake?"

"You're making a deal with mommy? You sure learned how to make a deal"

At mommy's word, I could only giggle so far. Cause she always finds out the truth.

Damn Mahi! you need to learn how to control your expression >_<

I went into my room to get ready. It is clear that mom picked the cloth for me.

We reached our destination within half an hour. Auntie Fuyumi is waiting at the entrance.

She hugged me. "Auntie! It's too tight"

"Sorry Mahi, I was just too excited to meet you after 3 months and you are looking cute as ever"

I smiled at her word and we went in. There is 3 rink in total.

We came by the big ice rink. Maybe it's for the figure skaters but I couldn't see anyone except a bunch of kids struggling to keep their balance.

"Your mommy and I are going to teach those kids how to skate today"

"So that's why they're here." I gave an understanding expression.

"I heard you are a good skater now. Mind giving a hand?"

What is auntie thinking, asking me to teach?

Anyway, by then, I could see mom entered the rink barefooted.

After reaching the middle of the rink. Her hair started to glow. She creat a pair of skating shoes. Her old trick.

"She sure is very energetic…"

Before she finish her sentence I entered the rink too. A cold feeling in my foot, covering it in ice, creating a pair of glass shoes for myself.

Being shocked "Like mother like son!"

She reached us,

"Why didn't you told me that Mahi has awakened his quirk"

"It's only you who can praise my baby's cuteness but didn't notice his eye"

"Huh! Mahi, Your eye is blue. Just like Miharu"

"Auntie, surprise! But it's not only my eye but I can do many tricks too"

Auntie became curious, I don't know why do I feel so satisfied after telling her about my quirk.

After finishing our short conversation we went for the kids who were my age or a little older than me.

Mommy introduces herself and gave a brief about ice skating.

But my eye was set on a greenish-haired boy.
