Iro is a place where Mages can wield the elements of the world, harnessing the destructive power of fire, the finesse of air, the untold strength of earth, the gentle touch of light, and even the mystery of darkness.
These are known as Affinities, discovered at a young age and cultivated to untold lengths at the academies.Warren is a kid hoping to do just that, and his Affinity Attunement is finally granting him an answer to the angst that has been gnawing at the back of his mind all his life. Only, he isn’t given what he hopes for, his Affinity something else entirely.
A fragment, meaning that he is weak, and is leagues behind anyone else his age trying their hand at practicing Magic.
And now, his Mother wants him dead, his Father has left him, and all he has is is a teacher who is only willing to teach him the basics.
So how can he rise, and how can he become a Mage when his own power fails him?
The academies are a far cry away, and he will have to change himself entirely to even hope to make ends meet, but
