* On a remote island, Aria spends her days weaving baskets and relishing the solitude. However, her tranquil reality is shattered when she is compelled to marry Zarek, an imposing man who towers almoover everyone else on the island.
Despite Zarek’s infidelity and the constant presence of other women, Aria is somewhat relieved that she married him. He offers solace and stability, allowing her to indulge in her hobbies of weaving baskets, crocheting, and sewing - activities she enjoys, except for cooking and washing heavy clothing.
Her life maintains a peaceful rhythm; Zarek rarely bothers her as he is seldom home, and she doesn’t even need to face him every morning. She prepares dinner early and leaves it on the table before he arrives in the dining room.
As the days pass, devoid of any remarkable events, Aria finds solace in the tranquil stillness that envelops her. The darkness creeps in, casting a serene ambiance, as if time itself slows down. Amidst this calmness, Aria nurtures a lingering desire—to embrace motherhood, a pursuit she believes she's earned through her marriage. But persuading Zarek to embark on this journey together proves to be a daunting task.
Zarek, unfortunately, adamantly rebuffs her pleas, showing no inclination towards starting a family. This rejection intensifies Aria's sense of isolation, reinforcing her belief that a deep resentment festers within Zarek's heart.
Interestingly, Aria and Zarek share a childhood intertwined by surprising circumstances. In their early years, Aria, driven by unknown forces, subjected Zarek to relentless torment, exploiting any opportunity to mock and taunt him. Despite the vast age and physical disparities, she derived immense pleasure from provoking him. However, their paths took divergent turns when Zarek departed for a secluded island, joining a mysterious cult or club. He returned only in his thirties, a transformed soul, detached from his emotions, and encompassed by an aura of enigma.
