Mastering mind magic in Harry Potter

Death was not what I was expecting.

There were no welcoming committee, whether angels or demons. There was no flames or clouds surrounding me.

It was just full of nothing. A big fat load of nothing.

So I waited... Not like I could do anything else. I tried to remember my life, but the memories were weirdly lacking. I could remember the story of lord of the ring, but not reading it. I could remember star wars, but not watching it. Same with everyday skills, like cooking or similar stuff.

It was like, I had memories of everything I learned, but not the experienced associated with it. And boy was that strange.

Based on what I knew, I guess I liked stories. Books, anime, films, fanfiction, ... I also seemed to have some mind medical knowledge, I was a psychiatrist maybe ? At least I knew lots of stuff related to that. Brainwashing too... weird.

I also know fencing and sharpshooting, so I guess I liked sport ? Whether I was good or not was another topic, since I have no way to compare, the after life is really weird.

I also know ... Sex related stuff ? good I guess. I know how to give pleasure to a woman, but don't remember ever having sex. Sucks to lose those memories.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I was a good person. Considering I know stuff about torture, explosives, counter espionage... Sounds like a terrorist, or a revolutionary maybe ? Who knows.

I also quickly realised I didn't have much emotions. No panic, no regret, no fear or anger. Nothing. Just like that big empty place.

Wow... I'm speechless. What kind of choice is that. more than half are apocalyptic worlds. 'Attack of the titan' is about humans hiding behind walls because they are being hunted by titans, 'Highshool of the dead' is humans hiding in buildings because they are being hunted by zombies, 'The walking dead' is the same, 'Matrix' is humans hiding underground because they are being hunted by machines, and 'Diablo' is humans hiding in cities because they are being hunted by demons.

I'm not even talking about 'Warhammer'. Human can't even hide since they are being killed by lots of creepy creatures, robots like things, devil gods and a whole lot of monstrosity.

Which leave me with 'Harry Potter', 'Tomb raider', and 'Lord of the ring'. And no, I did not forgot the 'beauty and the beast'. I don't want to risk becoming a talking furniture, thank you very much.

'Tomb raider' is out since it's basically my world with a sexy treasure hunter added. It doesn't appeal enough to me.

'The lord of the ring' would be cool if it weren't for constant war or dangerous stuff happening. The fact that I can't really become neutral in the conflict, or the fact that the magic there is pretty weird doesn't reassure me much either.

Well, 'Harry Potter' it is. Not like the world is bad. The 90's, plus magic. England is easy to escape if I don't want to get draft in the story anymore, plus magic. And lots of heroines if we go with the fanfictions, plus magic.

500 points seems like a LOTS of point for something that is supposedly just an insult. It seems like there is more to it. It migh explain why the Weasley's were so poor and hated despite being a light family and under Dumb-as-a-door. It looks like more trouble than it's worth.

I can guess that the biggest advantage of a sacred 28 family would be huge political power. Not something I intend to dabble in.

I intend to get rich with an obscure job without competition (wandmaker maybe ?), to become too bothersome to annoy, and find myself a nice harem to spend the rest of my days chilling. So let's go with a standard pure blood family, it would still leave me with 700 Karma points, whatever I can do with those.
