Chapter 11. The Weak Saiyan Child

"Your son is low class. He will be sent to a suitable planet for take over." An aging saiyan scientist said.

The father looked at his son. A baby with short dark brown hair and light brown skin.

"Tch... useless kid... yeah, yeah. Send him wherever." The father told the scientist bluntly.

The father then turned around and left the pod room, not even looking at his son.

The scientist just sighed and took a look at his data terminal again.

"Hmm... Nion is your name, huh? Power level is... 1. Even lower than that other boy..." The scientist whispered nonchalantly.

Suddenly, for a split second, Nion's hair turned red.

"Huh?" The scientist glanced at Nion inside the pod. He saw nothing out of the ordinary, his hair was still black. "Must've been my imagination. I should retire..." Mumbled the scientist.

The scientist fiddled with Nion's profile and authorized him for low class planet takeover.

A few minutes later another group of scientists and doctors came inside the building to take Nion to the launching pad.

The scientist informed the others of the chosen planet and the engineers working in the launching pad took an attack pod and entered the coordinates to Nion's destination.

The doctors assisting the scientist placed the still sleeping Nion inside the pod, now dressed in basic saiyan battle armor.

Without so much as a goodbye, the scientist commanded the supervising engineer to launch the pod. They were used to doing this. The kids the scientist sent were either killed or they survived and successfully conquered a planet.

The scientist has no hopes for this boy, however. Nion had been the lowest power level he had seen in his 80 years of working. He knows he is sending the young Saiyan to his death, but he doesn't care.

The scientist watched the pod leave the atmosphere of Planet Vegeta with lifeless eyes.

----------

Inside the pod, Nion, the young saiyan, woke up due to extreme turbulence.

'Huh? Where... am I? What's going on?' He thought.

Nion looked around his surroundings. He could see space and countless stars passing him by through the small window of the pod.

'Am I in space? Is this supposed to be the after-life?' Nion wondered.

The boy looked to his sides. Nion could see simple controls and keyboards on the handles of his seat and a small screen showing unknown characters.

'What the...? I'm in some sort of spacecraft? What is this? It looks pretty familiar... It's pretty bumpy.' Nion contemplated.

Nion raised his hands and saw the gauntlets he was wearing. Then he looked down and noticed the outfit he was in.

'Is... is that saiyan armor?' Nion mused.

Nion just touched his chest piece calmly and smiled.

'Wait! Saiyan armor?!' He shouted in his mind.

"Gahbaah!!??" Nion tried yelling, only to let out babbling of a baby.

'I am in a pod! A saiyan pod! As a child, that means I'm a weakling being sent out to some planet to conquer! Ahhh! I sure hope the planet has a moon out as soon as I land! I don't even know how to fight!' Nion thought.

Nion's mind was in shambles for most of the ride until the shaking of the pod became almost unbearable.

'What the hell is happening?' Nion thought.

Suddenly, the alarm system of the pod went off and the tiny screen of the armrest showed an unknown symbol.

'What the hell does that symbol mean? What's happening outside?'

Nion peered through the pod's window and he saw nothingness.

'It doesn't look like there's anything wrong... wait. Where are the stars? It's just blackness...' Nion pondered.

In front of Nion's pod, there was the unnatural blackness of space. No stars and no planets can be seen.

It was a black hole.

'Don't tell me...-' Nion's thoughts were interrupted by an overwhelmingly nauseous feeling.

Nion felt as if his entire being was being stretched to it's limits, his vision going dark, and the sound of the alarm faded to nothingness.

(Somewhere in rural New York, in the year 2001)

"Sweetie! Come back here! It's dangerous!" A man said.

"Okay, Daddy!" A young voice responded.

The man was George Stacy. He was on his long vacation with his daughter, Gwendolyn, who turned 5 years old just a few weeks ago.

The girl was close to the shore of the lake, feeding bread to the ducks. The father, having lost his pregnant wife to a drunk driver last year, was very protective of his only daughter.

The girl ran to her father without protest.

"I was just feeding the ducks, Daddy." Gwendolyn explained.

"I- I know, Sweetie... I just don't want you to get hurt." The father responded.

"... You're making the same face as before. When you said Mommy had to leave. When are they coming back?" Gwendolyn said innocently.

George hoisted up his daughter and looked at her face with a fake, but strong, smile.

"They'll come back soon, Sweetie. They'll come back soon..." George said as he hugged her close, enough to hide his face from her view. His eyes teared up, but he did not allow himself to cry in front of his daughter.

'I need to be strong for her. I need to make she she stays safe. I will protect her with all my strength.' George promised to himself.

Suddenly, a loud crash can be heard in the treeline across the lake. A few trees fell over due to the shock.

"What was that?!" George yelled.

He quickly ran inside the log house he was renting and put Gwendolyn inside.

"Stay here, Sweetie. There is a lot of trails around here, so Daddy will go see if anyone got hurt." George explained.

"Is Daddy gonna save people again?" Gwendolyn asked.

"Hehe, yes, Daddy will try." George responded as he rubbed her head and motioned her inside.

George ran out and got on a small engine powered boat to cross the lake.

A couple minutes later, as George grounds the boat on the other side, a person runs out to the lakeshore and calls out for help.

"Help! My friend is stuck under a tree!" A teenage boy yelled.

"Take me to him, kid!" George commanded.

The boy nodded and raced through the trees with George on his heels.

A few feet away, a boy the same age was trapped under a fallen tree.

"Grab that side and push when I tell you! I'll try picking it up from here!" George commanded.

The boy followed his instructions and placed his hands under the tree. George then began lifting the tree as high as he could while the boy did the same.

"Okay...! Push...!" George grunted.

The boy pushed his side of the tree with all his might, rolling it off of his friend safely.

George dropped the tree, his hand numb and bloody from the rough bark.

"You okay, son? You feel anything broken?" George asked the boy who was trapped.

"I- I think my leg is broken...!" The boy claimed as he grabbed his thigh.

George turned to the hurt boy's friend.

"Do you have a cell phone? If you do, call the park paramedics!" George said.

The boy nodded and pulled out his brand new Nokia 8310 and dialed for park emergency services.

While the boy called, George, with his minimal first aid experience, set the injured boy's leg as correctly as he could, and made sure the boy wasn't injured in other places he wasn't aware of, due to adrenaline.

"You don't have any other injuries on you, boy. You should be fine, it's only a broken bone, you'll survive." George reassured, patting his shoulder gently.

George stayed with the boys until the park rangers came and picked them up a few minutes later.

George, after helping the rangers and telling them what happened, they left. He then turned to the cause of this incident.

Walking through the forest to the scene of the impact, he came across an odd, white colored, spherical object with a red glossy circle on its side.

"What... is that?" George wondered.

Suddenly the object opened partially. George, in his uncertainty, pulled out his personal 9mm.

Inching closer, George spotted a figure inside the object. George pointed his gun at the figure, ready to protect himself, but quickly put it down as he saw a small child sleeping inside.

"... I've seen some weird stuff happening in the city lately, but this is probably the weirdest..." George muttered.

George put his weapon away and approached the child.

"Is it some sort of alien... or some sort of secret government... thing?" George pondered.

George hesitantly picked up the child from the pod. He was about the size of a 1 year old.

"He certainly looks human... except that he has a tail?!" George stammered.

His surprised seemed to have aroused the child, causing him to awaken.

"Maahh... Ahh? Ahh! Oohmahh!" The child stirred awake, only becoming more energetic as he met eyes with George.

'...Heh... He reminds me of Gwen when she was smaller... Is God giving me a chance to raise the son I would've had...?' George thought as he smiled with a melancholic look in his eyes.

Without even thinking of contacting the government after witnessing the extraterrestrial, George headed back to his log house.

Naruto: The Outsider's Resolve

[A Naruto Fan Fiction] Make the best of what you have, they said... But what I am supposed to do when the best I have are red-eyed freaks, a child who's supposed to be the jailor of the most dangerous being in the world, a snake bastard with serious boundary issues, and a whole world of super soldiers with licences to murder. And you know the best part? None of them like me so much... Oh shut it, old man! Take that Will of Fire and shove it up your— Yeah, this second swing at life isn't panning out... --------------------------------------------------------------- What to expect: - Gradual strength progression. Meaningful growth. The MC is a normal guy dumped into the Narutoverse, starts out weak and has to work and struggle for everything he gains. - "Slow" paced. My writing style is a zoomed-in look camera that follows the protagonist. It might seem slow, but I ensure something is always happening to progress the plot forward. - Gritty and often bloody fights and actions scenes with a focus on taijutsu—you'll see individual combat, team fights, and large-scale battle. - A different take on the Narutoverse. The world is full of superhuman mercenaries with liscenes-to-kill—that along with the protagonist's struggles paint the world in a much darker light. - Additions and expansion to the "chakra" power system. I consider myself a conservative when it comes to adapting the power system—and aim to retain the original feel while highlighting the best parts. - The Outsider's Resolve version of Narutoverse uses the [Naruto Manga] as the base—with additions from anime, books, and even Boruto (though very less likely). --------------------------------------------------------------- DISCORD SERVER: https://discord.gg/w5dJ82SfMr --------------------------------------------------------------- PATREON LINK: https://www.patreon.com/fictiononlyreader --------------------------------------------------------------- DECLARATION: This story is also present on: FFN, Ao3, SpaceBattles, SufficientVelocity, and ScribbleHub RoyalRoad [to be verified] --------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: I don't own any character other than my OCs. Pokemon Alternate Universe Adventures

A man from an Earth gets the choice to start over in any Universe and chooses an Alternate Pokemon Universe. Let us see if his journey to the top is succesful and the impact he will have on his new world. Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc. I just use their sandbox for the plot of my MC and my OCs. This will be a "slow" paced story, in fact it's "super slow paced", so please don't expect the MC to directly start his journey in 20 chapters or so, actually multiply that by like 15. A lot is going to happen before that happens. The first 10-20 chapters or so are information heavy, depending on what kind of reader you are. I try to keep my chapter length between 2000 and 3000 words per chapter. My release rate is 4 chapter/week for now. I have a patre*n for those that want to support me with access to some advance chapters as a thank you. patre*n.com/Azrail93 This is an alternate pokemon universe so there will be differences to the games, manga and anime. So if something in the story is different it is most likely on purpose. The original sources are seen as suggestions not laws. Differences can be: Type variants, evolution conditions, strength mechanics, world building and more. If I am at some point asking for reader input I will do so but otherwise I will ignore most suggestions. So please don't spam things like catch this pokemon or do that next. I have my plot planned and external input will be considered when asked for. If I see a suggestion that I believe fit my plot flow I will use it and will credit the commentor. Comments on spelling and grammar mistakes are welcome. I will try to correct said mistakes with time. Constructive criticism will be read and considered. Insult and hate comments will be ignored or deleted depending on severity. Readers naturally can comment their dislike but one worders will be ignored. If the reason for the dislike is explained I will read it. Like previously mentioned pure insults and hate comments will be ignored or deleted. The same is true for simple hate reviews or insulting ones. Reviews complaining about something I warned about, such as the slow pace, will be deleted as well.
