The Consummation
Lola didn't understand what was happening to Max, but she felt terrible knowing that he was in pain. At first, she convinced herself that he was only trying to get her attention, and she didn't really pity him, but after noticing that he was really suffering, she cried out for help.
She stayed beside him throughout the time that the doctor arrived at his house. She nursed him after the doctor left, taking all the precautions as the doctor instructed so he would get better and wake up sooner. Lola wondered what happened to Max while he was still unconscious.
She took care of him, telling Ethan to go home and rest when she noticed that he looked stressed out. She could see how bothered he was about his boss's collapse that she began to suspect that there was more to it. She stayed up until late in the night, sitting beside Max in his bed.
