CH421. Daddy loves mommy

"Mommy..." Little Liu Liu runs towards Ye Xiao Xiao. But she seems scared of jumping onto her.

Confused, Ye Xiao Xiao looks up at Lu Min Chen. She does not understand what that is actually happening.

Why is the child referring to her as mommy?

"Xiao Xiao, this is our daughter, mine and yours," Lu Min Chen explains with a smile.

"What? She ..she... She did not..." Ye Xiao Xiao stammers. Didn't that old man kill her child?

"Mmh, she was saved. See, you are even scaring her," Lu Min Chen says.

Ye Xiao Xiao comes to her senses and pulls little Liu Liu into his embrace. "My baby!"

Little Liu Liu lets her hug her, and a certain warmth spreads through her body. 

She finally has both of her parents. And they both love her. This is so great.

Ye Xiao Xiao's tears begin falling out uncontrollably. She should have known this before!

"Mommy?" Little Liu Liu calls in fear when she sees her tears. But Ye Xiao Xiao hugs her tightly. 

"I am sorry dear. I am sorry that I was not around after you were born. Mommy is bad," she says.

Lu Min Chen creases his brows and walks forward, hugging the two most precious people in his life.

"Do not speak like that," he says to Ye Xiao Xiao. "You are not bad. It was just the circumstances, and I am to blame for not protecting my family well."

"No!" Little Liu Liu shouts when she hears both her parents blaming themselves for everything that had happened.

And the two freezes, looking at each other in confusion.

"Daddy, mommy..." She calls and looks at them consecutively. "No one is to blame here. Grandpa told me that both of you are good. It was none of your fault."

Lu Min Chen and Ye Xiao Xiao are quiet again. 

"He did?" He asks her. Did the old man explains things to her?

"Mmh," Little Liu Liu nods her head. "Grandpa said that mommy and daddy did their best to protect me. And that they both love me so much. It is not your fault, right?"

"That is true," Ye Xiao Xiao nods her head at the child after learning that no one blames her for the things that happened. "Mommy and daddy love you the best!"

"Little Liu Liu loves you too," Little Liu Liu says happily. Then she looks at Ye Xiao Xiao again.

"Is something wrong?" Ye Xiao Xiao asks.

And Little Liu Liu shakes her head. "No, I just wanted to tell mommy that daddy loves her so much?"

"Mmh?"

"Huh?"

The two adults ask at the same time and look at each other.

"It is true," Little Liu Liu says with a smile. "Daddy was always missing mommy everyday. He even cried when talking about you. I saw it myself."

"Um...about that," Lu Min Chen's face blushes. He did not know that she would expose him like this.

"We can ask grandpa if you do not believe it," Little Liu Liu says with a pout.
