Chapter 51

I was curious to see what she meant so I closed my eyes and shifted my consciousness to my mana core. Once I was inside it I looked over at my bond ability. There were four wisps inside the ability right now. With a thought I moved six out of my mana heart and directed them towards my bond ability. It was the first time I had attempted to shift so many wisps, and it was not as easy as I thought it would be. It took a lot more control to handle six at a time, so I lost two in the process. One floated around for a moment then moved back into my mana heart while the other floated too close to my mental ability and was sucked into it. The other four successfully entered my bond ability.

I was a little irritated by the failure, but it wasn't like it hurt anything. Putting another wisp into my mental ability wasn't a bad thing. Having learned my lesson I shifted two more wisps out of my mana heart to my bond ability.

I watched excitedly as the ten wisps flowed around my bond ability for a moment, then as if there was some kind of signal given to the ability the wisps started to gain speed as they swirled around within the ability. After a couple of moments the wisps formed a circle as they continued to move faster and faster. Then just like when I was creating a new ability the ring contracted getting smaller and smaller until the ten wisps joined together into one. I felt my entire mana core shudder then my mana heart glowed a bright gold and platinum light as something within it changed.

As the light from my mana heart faded I tried to concentrate on the changes. While there wasn't anything concrete, I personally felt stronger. When the light had returned to its normal level I looked at my mana heart to see if there were any changes. At first my mana heart had just appeared to be a golden ball that floated within my mana core. Then it became partially platinum in color, but that was the only change. Now my mana heart was bigger, at least three times the size it had been, and it seemed like the material that made up my core was denser, like it was truly made of metal now instead of being painted a metal color.

As I stared at my mana heart I felt new information flow into me. It wasn't much, just a summary of the changes. Apparently now I was truly a gold core, where as before I had been an honorary one. The difference was that I had finally broken through a barrier I didn't realize was there when the ten wisps in my bond ability fused together. That barrier had been restricting my power until now. With it gone my mana well was much deeper, as was my ability to draw in mana, my control over mana had significantly increased as well, but I would have to practice that. Most importantly I knew why it had taken me so long to awaken. When someone advanced to a metal core their body would go through a fundamental change. A body refinement of a sort where my bones, organs, and muscles became more durable. Like metal had infused them so it wasn't as easy to harm them. During my awakening the foundation for that change was laid down. Now that I had broken through the barrier and the extra energy was flowing through me. I would be able to feel the difference in not only my strength, but my durability.

Having understood the changes in me I shifted my attention back to my bond ability. There was a significant change there as well. The image hadn't changed, but it was larger than before, and instead of ten wisps inside there as a single glowing point. It was larger than the wisp had been and it didn't drift around like the wisps had. Instead it stayed in one place and glowed. Its glow was like that of an ember after the fire had died down, dimly glowing but ready to flare up again if given a little fuel.

Staring into my ability I quickly learned that there had been a large change to my ability with the advance from the first stage to the second. Now I could understand what Caly wanted me to do.

With a thought I shifted my consciousness out of my mana core and back to my body.

As soon as I did I felt a very pleasant wet warmth engulfing my length. I groaned in pleasure.

"He's back." Caly commented.

Karen hummed in response which sent a surge of pleasure through me before she released my length and sat up so she could look down at me.

"You didn't need to stop." I told her.

"Actually I did." Karen replied. "You need to marry us if you want more of that." she told me with a smirk.

"Devil woman." I cursed which only made the other two laugh. "Are you sure this is what you want?" I asked her.

Karen nodded. "Yes Daryl." she told me.

"You know it is permanent, no going back." I warned her again.

"Really permanent?" Karen asked.

I nodded. "Before permanent meant I needed too much energy to break it, but with the changes to my ability, permanent means permanent. I can't undo it even if I become a lot stronger than I am now." I told her.

"That isn't true." Caly said. "If you reach the next stage you will be able to undo it." she told me.

"Even so." I said. "My dad is only a gold core himself, to reach the next level I have to advance beyond Orichalcum right?" I asked.

Caly nodded. "Yes." she agreed.

"So it's permanent." I stated.

"I get it." Karen said then leaned down and kissed me. "Yes, Caly told me all of this before we agreed to this plan. Just remember one thing." she told me.

"What?" I asked.

"You still owe me a wedding." Karen told me seriously.

I nodded slowly. With that comment it finally sank in. I was going to marry Karen. Not just Karen, but Caly as well, and it would be something we couldn't undo.

I smiled up at her then I took a deep breath. "A ring too." I told her.

Karen smiled back at me then nodded.

"I don't know why you two are rushing this, but I won't argue with you anymore. Who is first?" I asked.

"Karen, then me, then dinner and a talk, then you get to break me in, then the three of us together." Caly told me.

I stared at Caly for a moment then looked to Karen who nodded.

I didn't have any reason to disagree with their plan, except maybe getting dinner and talking to the others. I reached up and placed my hand over Karen's heart before I closed my eyes and activated my bond ability.

With the upgrade to my bond ability there were a few changes. Firstly the cost on my side of the equation decreased. It wouldn't be nearly so hard for me to create a slave bond as it would have been before. I also didn't need to have an ability to use it in a bond, I just needed a template. Which was what the bond placed on me and Caly was. While it hadn't turned into a marriage bond yet, all the information was already there for me to use. With that as the template I was able to create the same marriage bond between Karen and I as I would have with Caly.

As I wove the mana around the two of us I felt Caly move from my side. As the bond finished Karen let out a lusty moan. I felt something stir in my mind then a feeling of pleasure flowed through me. I opened my eyes to look up at Karen and see if she was feeling the same thing I was. What met my gaze was Caly kneeling beside Karen, her hand firmly massaging one of Karen's breasts as they kissed each other hungrily.

Seeing the passion in their kiss I realized I was definitely going to need to rope Megan or Grace in, that way I could have a wife too.

All kinds of ideas flowed through my mind, including skipping dinner, but I decided on a different one. I activated my bond ability again and upgraded my bond with Caly. As it was already there it didn't take any effort. I felt a caress in my mind as the bond settled and another surge of pleasure.

I reached out with my other hand to touch Caly before using my bond ability once more to create another marriage bond, this one between Caly and Karen. I wasn't sure if I was going too far with this, but given the passion in that kiss, and the fact they were now permanently bonded to me. I felt it was only fair if they were bonded to each other as well. I could always give them limited access to my teleportation ability later so they could help each other in an emergency, just in case I was busy with something even more dangerous.

Feeling the new bond form between them the two women finally separated and looked down at me with heated gazes. I was getting acquainted with that look. "So no dinner?" I asked with a smirk.

Caly took a deep breath that she left out very slowly. "No, we need to eat dinner and tell the others." she said.

Karen nodded slowly, "Yeah." she agreed then kissed me just as passionately as she had been kissing Caly. "But for marrying me to Caly, you are not going to be getting any sleep tonight husband."

"Not a wink." Caly agreed as she replaced Karen's lips with her own.

"We might want to make that a requirement too." I told them once Caly let me breath.

"What?" Caly asked.

"If they want to join me, they have to be willing to marry my wives too." I told her.

Caly and Karen seemed to consider that for a moment. "We can, but I doubt it would change anything. Actually we shouldn't. There are plenty of women out there who could make a good addition to our group, but have no interest in other women." Karen said.

I frowned as I considered that. "Isn't the idea to keep the number of my wives down?" I asked.

"No husband, it is to be picky about the ones you accept." Caly replied. "Enough, you two need to get dressed, we can figure out the finer details later, Megan and Grace are the only potentials right now anyways." Caly told us.

With a nod Karen reluctantly climbed off of me. I watched her go before sitting up and pulling some clean clothes from my storage space. Karen had already done a good job cleaning me up so all I had to do was get dressed.

On the other hand Karen had to head into the bathroom to clean up before she came back out fully dressed.

"What about our bath?" I asked, finally remembering the full tub of hot water.

"We ran out of time." Karen said, sounding a bit regretful.

"We could hurry dinner." I suggested.

"Not enough room for three. I already started draining it." Karen replied then gave me a smile. "You can owe me one later."

"Just seems like a waste." I commented.

Both girls rolled their eyes then grabbed my arms and dragged me out of the room. With a grudging smile I followed my new brides out the door, just a little worried about how the others would react. A moment later as I walked through the bedroom door I realized that what they thought didn't matter, it was our choice.
