Synopsis

Malia knew she was different but not the different she hoped. She was drawn to darkness and shunned the light. After a night out turned bloody, she finally felt alive in a place she probably shouldn't. " Tell me you don't feel that," he said while clenching his jaw. " Maybe I do, Maybe I don't, " she said walking away with an elegant badass walk. " Maila!"

Chapter 1The beginning

She was never much for romance and anything of the sort. She fancied dark corners, devoid of any light. She loved darkness and its hold that was so strong she never wanted to be set free.

She grew up in a normal city, filled with normal mundane humans. Nothing abnormal ever happened here, though, she wished her hardest that something would. She hoped that something could pull her out of her dreary repetitive life. Her parents were workaholics, always traveling to different places completing projects as they put it. Then, one night she fell out with them and left home. The argument was a silly one but she had striven many times for any at all because they never seemed to care about her or notice what she does. When she came back, she only found an empty house with a letter on the fridge saying that they had left for an urgent meeting and that it could take a couple of weeks. She waited and waited but weeks turned into months. However, this wasn't a story about a teenage girl begging for her parent's love. This was a story, where a teenage girl, discovered a world she never knew she belonged.

I normally review after reading 10 chapters, but since there's only 6 Chapters at the moment ... heh. Anyway. Few plus point for me: it's descriptive (which I like) yet not too heavy. So long as the chapter does have other things to it, the descriptive nature makes the characters more believable. Except for Chapter 1, the flow is good (Chapter 1 was really just TOO short for my taste). The writing improved from Ch1 - Ch6, which is a plus. The plot got really interesting after a few chapters - then again, I'm a fan of the supernatural. So I may be biased. Overall, a good read. Far better grammar and storyline than some originals tht seem to be at the top yet have so little content. I'm just flabbergasted at that. Carry on writing, Author! All the best!

This story so far, in essence, seems to be coming along ok. however, it is far too descriptive. for example, the first chapter was merely the MC meeting an old lady and going home. the whole dialogue was her talking to an old lady! please don't take offense, I like the book but the over descriptiveness and bad grammatical errors make it hard to read. I will continue though because I want to see you improve upon these areas. With that said, keep up the good work!

So far this is a straightforward story of a girl who suddenly learns that dark supernatural creatures exist. The writing is clear and direct but the heroine is not very realistic IMHO. Let’s see where it goes ....

Good book. Could be improved in a lot of aspects. LIttle grammatical errors. multiple Pov's. Magical elements. Seems like my type of book. However, I'd like less romance more action. And please do an update.

Intriguing plot. This novel has its own story. Modern world setting paired with ancient creatures. Forbidden love (I guess, if I'm not wrong. Haha) Yup, grammar errors were visible, but the writing was already readable... A little more proofread will do. (Hopefully) You have the story, just keep writing. Keep up the good work.
