Chapter 58: Stephanie's hate 3

"Miss Winston, I need you to be completely honest with me. Can you do that for me?" A middle-aged lawyer dressed in a three piece suit asked. He took a glance at Stephanie, who sat opposite him, her pose and expression relaxed. He then proceeded to bring out a pen and a book.

"Do you promise to get me out of here?"

"Miss Winston, that won't be easy. You've been accused of a heinous crime. And there are witnesses. The odds are little."

"No one died."

"So you admit in trying to kill Miss Emily Hernandez?"

"I didn't want to kill her. I only wanted to destroy her." She replied with a shrug. She then hunched closer to the table.

"An acid attack under law, whether by intent to kill or to disfigure causes an imprisonment judgement." Stephanie rubbed her nose.

"Really? And how long will that be?"
