Chapter 125: Evacuation

~ For once I saw Cory glimmering and trying to hide it. He took my hand again and we walked out of his room. My eyes sorta gaped to see tons of Highest-ranked men within our generation. Stood vast in a straight stance from in the hall surrounding his door. Their eyes looked at Cory with the highest respect. I could tell they were here maybe waiting for orders.

Cory faced all his unmarried Highest-ranker men and closest friends, he's grown up with. "Everybody help the others get the women and children out of here and back to a safer mansion. I'll be returning to the last one I just left." He gave his order and even informed them of his plan.

His men respectfully nodded and went off to do as he requested. Cory then lead me by the hand and took us out of the mansion. He walked me to the right lot and put me into his car.

"I'll be back," he told me and shut the door.

A ton of people in any generation were all leaving the mansion. The men put their families into a bunch of different vehicles. I saw young adults just merely over five hundred. There were tons of babies, toddlers, and kids. Even young teens between the ages of fifteen to forty-nine. Older teens between fifty to ninety-nine. Then the oldest teens of marrying age, between hundred to under five hundred. Each with their families but I noticed the older teens and the marrying age teens were getting into cars and leaving with friends or with their young family. I also realized none of the girls or ladies drove it was only the boys or men. Other groups leaving were just slaves or servants.

Then my eyes found Cory was supervising everyone leaving. It took some time but most of the people left with their families first. Then tons of vehicles and loading vans pulled in parking anywhere. More men got out and most of them went into the mansion.

More time passed and interesting enough some came back out with containers full of clothes and other important supplies. I got the idea they were here to help unpack the mansion. Cory must've called in more Highest-rankers for help.

"Make sure you thoroughly check the mansion. Be sure there are no kids inside and no ones left behind." I heard Cory making more orders politely.

Even though I was in the car for awhile. I was impressed with how the men worked together. While Cory stood outside making sure everyone was set.

A few more groups of women and children left with their husbands. As more men just pulled in to help. A handful of them approached Cory and were talking to him. Then I saw their heads turn toward me sitting in Cory's car. Which made me wish I knew what they were saying. It's obvious they were mentioning me and even seemed curious about me. But I wasn't sure as I noticed Cory shaking hands with a few of them. Then he started coming back toward his car and opened up his driver's seat door and shut it.

He used his fingerprint and it started revving up real loud. Cory put it in gear and pulled out of the driveway and onto the road. This was the first time I was in his car alone with him. I didn't even think he'd drive being a Head King. Surprisingly, he drove like a pro. As I glance at him to see that glimmer, he did show me was gone.

Like his usual, he went back into that blank unreadable demeanor, that I hated. Gosh, he amazed me in not the best way. With how fast he shifted with his moods. I hated this intimidating side of him. When he acts like this I hated it! Then his quietness didn't help me feel any better. I cannot believe I'm engaged to a powerful hybrid-man. That I can't even figure out how to communicate with. He was like a gorgeously-built yet extremely hot emotionless blob!

Since I couldn't control his weird attitude. My eyes saw his phone on his lap. Was going off with tons of messages but he didn't pay much attention to them. For the most part, he ignored it. Only twice did his eyes glance down on his phone for a second.

I kinda sighed and looked out the window. To noticed through the side-view mirror. A line of vehicles was following us. Then my eyes gaped to see the same park I meet Maria. We even passed up her store which was closed. Wow, on my first attempt to escape, I didn't get very far, I thought. So I guessed Cory or his family owned this section of land.

Sorta sudden but I felt Cory slow his speed as I looked out his window from around his head. To see Aaron and tons of other cars pulled up taking lead. Now we followed from behind Aaron and I noticed in the digital review mirror, Jay drove behind us. To me they seemed to form a protective line, I assumed.

After some more time driving, I saw more familiar places when I went shopping with Çory's sisters and brothers. Soon we passed up the shopping centers and malls and kept driving up into the street.

My eyes gaped insane at what I saw! I was speechless and my heart stopped dead from what I saw!
