War of attrition

Following the 1967 Six-Day War, no serious diplomatic efforts tried to resolve the issues at the heart of the Arab–Israeli conflict. The 1967 Arab League summit formulated in September the "three no's" policy: barring peace, recognition or negotiations with Israel.[19] The Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser believed that only military initiative would compel Israel or the international community to facilitate a full Israeli withdrawal from Sinai,[20][21] and hostilities soon resumed along the Suez Canal. These initially took the form of limited artillery duels and small-scale incursions into Sinai, but by 1969, the Egyptian Army judged itself prepared for larger-scale operations. On March 8, 1969, Nasser proclaimed the official launch of the War of Attrition, characterized by large-scale shelling along the Suez Canal, extensive aerial warfare and commando raids.[20][22] Hostilities continued until August 1970 and ended with a ceasefire,[23] the frontiers remaining the same as when the war began, with no real commitment to serious peace negotiations. Egyptian front Israel's victory in the Six-Day War left the entirety of the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula up to the eastern bank of the Suez Canal under Israeli control. Egypt was determined to regain Sinai, and also sought to mitigate the severity of its defeat. Sporadic clashes were taking place along the cease-fire line, and Egyptian missile boats sank the Israeli destroyer INS Eilat on October 21 of the same year. Egypt began shelling Israeli positions along the Bar Lev Line, using heavy artillery, MiG aircraft and various other forms of Soviet assistance with the hope of forcing the Israeli government into concessions.[24] Israel responded with aerial bombardments, airborne raids on Egyptian military positions, and aerial strikes against strategic facilities in Egypt. The international community and both countries attempted to find a diplomatic solution to the conflict. The Jarring Mission of the United Nations was supposed to ensure that the terms of UN Security Council Resolution 242 would be observed, but by late 1970, it was clear that this mission had been a failure. Fearing the escalation of the conflict into an "East vs. West" confrontation during the tensions of the mid-Cold War, the American president, Richard Nixon, sent his Secretary of State, William Rogers, to formulate the Rogers Plan in view of obtaining a ceasefire. In August 1970, Israel, Jordan, and Egypt agreed to an "in place" ceasefire under the terms proposed by the Rogers Plan. The plan contained restrictions on missile deployment by both sides, and required the cessation of raids as a precondition for peace. The Egyptians and their Soviet allies rekindled the conflict by violating the agreement shortly thereafter, moving their missiles near to the Suez Canal, and constructing the largest anti-aircraft system yet implemented at that point in history.[24][25] The Israelis responded with a policy which their Prime Minister, Golda Meir, dubbed "asymmetrical response", wherein Israeli retaliation was disproportionately large in comparison to any Egyptian attacks.[24] Following Nasser's death in September 1970, his successor, Anwar Al-Sadat, continued the ceasefire with Israel, focusing on rebuilding the Egyptian army and planning a full-scale attack on the Israeli forces controlling the eastern bank of the Suez Canal. These plans would materialize three years later in the Yom Kippur War. Ultimately, Israel would return Sinai to Egypt after the two nations signed a peace treaty in 1979.

Fictional Multiverse

Story of an ordinary person named 'Cole' playing the hero and dying in the process. But it's not all bad... There's some perks in death, especially dying a noble death such as what happened to him, which begins his journey into becoming something more than ordinary. ______________________________________________ Going to try to release a chapter every 1-3 days. I will make it my future goal to release at least one a day. ______________________________________________ Hi, I'm Kryo, a literal beginner in story writing. Heck, I got a "D" in my English class haha. But I digress. After reading the different "fanfics", I have become inspired to write one of my own. And I'm not sure how it'll go. So buckel up and hold on for what I consider to be the ultimate Fanfic of the century! At least that what it seem like in my head lol. Will take place in different fictional universes such as the MCU, Resident Evil, Naruto, Injustice: God among us, Fallout, Skyrim, Against the Gods, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and more. Oh so much more. Well I better start reviewing more source materials. Lol I got a lot of homework to do. Oh, and I'm totally writing, or typing if you will, with the new feature on the app lol. I know I'm going to disappoint some of you with the slow release but I can promise you that if I ever drop this novel(Most likely I won't) or take a break from writing that I will give a notice at the end of the most recent chapter. WARNING: some things I'm planning to write maybe offensive to some people. So sorry. ______________________________________________ Disclaimer: I don't own any of the works featured in this novel.

Her Majesty, His Royalty

Evly Royalty, the eldest daughter of the King of Odessa, found herself deeply enamored with Mshell Majesty, but their love story did not unfold as love at first sight. Instead, their affection grew gradually, and both were oblivious to its development. Their paths crossed at Crowns Academy, a boarding high school for royalty from various prestigious backgrounds, including Kings, Dukes, Viscounts, Lords, Prime Ministers, and Emperors. Mshell Majesty stood as one of the higher royals, being the second son of the Emperor of Athras, the encompassing nation to which all other kingdoms belonged. The grand nation of Athras was divided into three primary regions: Athras Central, serving as the nation's capital and housing the Emperor's residence, followed by the North with its two kingdoms, Al'done and Odessa, and lastly, the South, comprised of three significant kingdoms, Asianie, Mane's, and De'Rheal. Throughout their time at Crowns, Evly and Mshell's love blossomed beautifully, and they crafted a plan called "Winning 11" to shape their future. The plan involved reuniting eleven years after their high school days after they had established their careers, to formalize their love and commitment. Their exquisite plan also served as an inspiration to other students at the academy. However, reality can be harsh and unpredictable, as they were about to discover. After Mshell's graduation, everything seemed normal initially, but soon, changes started to unfold. They were not just a couple; they were best friends and soulmates. Being apart from each other proved to be challenging for Evly, as she had her friends around, but none could fill the void left by Mshell. Life took a different turn for Mshell as well. Attending college meant he couldn't escape his identity as the Emperor's son. It wasn't as pleasant an experience as he thought it would be. Thoughts of Evly consumed him – her presence, laughter, and smiles were etched in his mind. She had an uncanny ability to solve his problems effortlessly, and her absence left an irreplaceable gap in his life. Though he tried his best to visit, time constraints made it difficult, but their long phone calls and video chats bridged the distance, to some extent. Eventually, Evly graduated, but things were different – not necessarily better, but different. The memories of their time together flashed back to her like a kaleidoscope, while she struggled with the fear that such a profound connection might never happen again. Yet, part of her clung to the hope of "Winning 11," knowing it was only the fifth year since they parted. In a heartfelt reflection, Evly spoke of the mixed emotions she experienced, sensing that this outcome was possibly foreseen. Perhaps this was all part of the journey toward "Winning 11," as the fifth year marked only the beginning of their story.
