When Banri Tatsuya opened his eyes, he felt the heaviness in his chest again. The days kept repeating just the same for someone like him who had a disability.

Banri could no longer walk because of his illness, known as "Multifocal acquired motor axonopathy," where his immune system attacks the nervous system of his body. This leads to an inability to move certain parts of the body, and in Banri's case, the disease affected his lower body—from his waist down to his feet—making him unable to walk.

He was ten years old when he was struck by this rare illness. Since then, he hasn't been able to walk. Ten years have passed, and now he's twenty. He has been paralyzed for a decade and has been going back and forth to the hospital for follow-up check-ups.

According to the doctor, if his illness isn't managed, it could cause complications in other parts of his body.

Banri used to be active in sports. When he was in elementary school, he was part of the track and field team. He was a fast runner, winning many trophies and medals.

He was supposed to compete at the regional level when suddenly, one day, he woke up unable to feel his legs. He screamed in fear and shock because he couldn't move them.

In online RPG games, Banri met many other players. Their characters would meet in the game and join him on adventures, doing quests, and exploring the game world.

"What is it, Dad?" Banri asked curiously, as his father helped him sit up from lying down.

"There's a new game coming out, and it's government-supported. This game is not just any ordinary game. All the best game developers created this game. Would you like us to buy it? It's set to be released next week."

"But Dad, you know... I'm kind of bored with those games. They're just the same over and over. I don't think I'll buy one for now."

"Son, I'm telling you, this game is different. It's not just any game... Because you will literally be transported into the game's world, and once you're there, you can walk and won't have any disability."

Banri's eyes widened at what his father said.

"Really, Dad?" Banri asked in disbelief.

"Yes, son, that's how incredible this game is. You should watch the trailer on the game developer's website. They really made this game for people like you, people with disabilities. So you can have a new world and experience being normal. But people without disabilities can also play. But the goal is to make people with disabilities happy and participate in the game."

Banri's eyes sparkled at what his father said. He remembered an anime he watched called "Sword Art Online," where the main character ends up in the game. He felt excitement and a renewed sense of life.

"Son, this is it... Your life will change. You can do anything you want. I will buy that game for you, no matter how much it costs, just so you'll be happy," Banri's father said seriously.

In his excitement, Banri hugged his father.

"Dad, thank you, thank you so much..." Banri whispered to his father.

So Banri and his father eagerly awaited the game's release the following week. Both of them were excited, and his mother was also supportive.

A day before the game's release, the game developer announced the price on their website.

And they were all shocked by the price: One Billion.

"Wow, that's ridiculously expensive! That's absurd!" Banri's mother exclaimed in disbelief.

Banri suddenly felt sad, thinking his life was about to change, but one billion was too much to spend on a game. He knew his parents could afford it, but... they might have to sell some properties, land, and businesses to raise one billion just to buy the game.
