Shattered World: Shadows of Ilrathia
In the late 90's, with the advent of the original VR systems, a boom was created in the virtual reality industry. By 2025, VR gained a place throughout many sectors, from entertainment to manufacturing, even design, VR was being used.
The rise of Virtual Reality also caused a massive rise in the popularity of e-sports. Instead of sitting at consoles or computers playing the games, players were now able to actually be in the game, causing them to have to learn a whole new way of thinking and skillset.
By 2050, companies around the world started to sponsor their own groups that were designed to train the next generation of pro players, often times these companies brought on retired pro players as trainers, coaches, or managers for the teams.
Now a new game company, Shadow Lands Entertainment, has come out of nowhere with a new game, releasing the closed Beta to only the top 200,000 players in the world, making an average of the top 1,000 players from 200 countries of the world.
