An age of interplanetary exploration. A time where the boundaries are pushed and borders are broken. An era where the people of the star system unite to push past the final frontier. Yet, not everyone is united. In fact the galaxy is a splintered mess of different factions and allegiances. The federation, a united front of many different peoples from all over the galaxy, have been at war with The Empire of Traxa, an interplanetary ring of warlords. In skirmishes across the stars, massive fleets of ships are sent out. Swarms of fighter, and individuals equipped with mechanized suits of armor fight for supremacy. Lariat, an ace mech pilot is no stranger to the skirmishes. But during one such battle, Lariat makes a near-fatal mistake and is caught up in the collapsing of a ships warp drive. With zero preparation, Lariat, equipped with only an Atmos-9 mech suit is transported right into the heart of the enemy. Their home planet. Traxa. Stuck in enemy territory, surrounded by potential enemies, and with no way to contact his allies, how will Lariat survive. Surely an Ace like him can do it. After being brought to the enemy's home planet, Lariat takes shelter at a Tachio, a small mining town on the metaphorical edge of the world. Going nowhere fast Lariat decides he has to take action. Joining hands with the beat down townsfolk Lariat will fight against The Intergalactic Empire of Traxa from the inside, and learn more about the universe than he ever thought he would. ***** -WSA 2023 entry -I don't own the cover. -Please interact with the story in anyway possible, even negative things show that somebody thinks something about the story I've made. And lastly, this is me, promising in written word, that I will try my best to update as often as I reasonably can, with a quality I'm satisfied with. I usually aim for about 2000 words a chapter. I hope you enjoy this story to its fullest.

The Precious child of the Tavern

In a room with four very large shelves on either side of it, sat a small desk elegant enough for a noble in front of a large window. A small child cowered between the shelf and the window in a corner. She was shaking badly wanting this to end already. "EVE!! YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT!! COME OUT NOW!" A male voice rang out from the hallway. She froze unable to move. That voice belonged to her father, a man who never showed the child any love. She started silently crying as her tightly wrapped bandages around her pale boney arms began bleeding again. "psst" she heard a sound near her. She stiffened in place. She didn't look in the direction, but she knew someone was there. Her tiny arms, now bleeding harder through the bandages, rose up almost to try and defend herself. She waited for a few seconds that felt like years only for whoever it was to gently touch her hand. "I won’t harm you." The voice says from what it sounds like belongs to a boy. She finally looked over at the direction of the voice. She saw a boy with pitch black hair and silver grey eyes. Unlike her rags and messy light brown hair, he looked like an actual noble's son. He smiles softly at her as he lifts her up with magic. "My name is Arch. What’s your name?" He asks smiling as she stares at him in amazement without her realizing that she was in a different room more like a different place all together. "Eve..." She whispers as he smiles while parting her head softly. "They can’t ever hurt you again Eve." ------ This is a story about a young girl who was saved by a boy and her new adoptive family. She has never known any kind of love in her 5 years of living. She will learn what it is like to have a family and about a past she never knew existed. She will also learn how far they are willing to go to protect her. After all she is precious to everyone in the tavern. What could go wrong? Story is edited by ----
