A Bit of History

"Yue" Yyan tried to get Yue's attention.

"Huh" Yue looked a bit loss.

Yyan laughed.

"Eat first" Yyan reminded gently.

"Ohh, how did it go?" Yue was concerned about the outcome of their meeting.

"We will start the operation in an hour. You just need to stay here in the base and wait for my return. I'll leave Ruyi to guard you" Yyan answered precisely.

Yyan immediately left after they had eaten.

Yue didn't go back to her designs and instead called for Assistant Yi.

"Young Miss" Assistant Yi gave a polite bow.

"Give me all the necessary documents on the royal family and ten nobles. You can also include the past cases handled by the family's organization" Yue listed her request.

"One moment" Assistant Yi bowed once again and went out.

Yue really didn't have to wait that long before Assistant Yi brought in sets of dossier.

"Young Miss should be familiar of which families are included in the Ten Noble Families"

Yue nodded. It was a common knowledge among the masses, but there must be something else to what Assistant Yi meant.

"Asher, Bilar, Crest, Durst, Éclair, Fierro, Gothwick, Haven, Ilica, and Jaeger " Yue recited as to confirm.

"Yes, except that Haven does not originally belong in the group. Country C was previously divided into Sun, Moon, and Star States. The country was in constant war, and the people are getting tired of it. It was not until Dietrich Eeros was born that the three states was united. Under his main force were ten families and their domains" Assistant Yi paused for a while to let her absorb the information.

"When the country was finally united and established as a whole, it was decided that Eeros under Dietrich would be the ruling family. The rest of the main forces was recognized as the Ten Noble Families. Although it looks like that the Eeros Family got the most of the power, but in reality everything is divided equally, it's just that each families had their own area of specialty and responsibility"

"Everything was almost settled down but before the end of the fifth year of Dietrich's reign, the Heather family rebelled. They were previously given the control of the military and they thought they could seize the power, but of course they didn't succeed and got kicked out of the Ten Nobles and was replaced by the Havens"

"Why not eradicate the Heather Family in the first place?" Yue asked.

"And this North Wolf?"

"They were an internationally wanted syndicate. We still didn't know up to what extent the relation between the syndicate and the Heather family goes but the Heathers are providing platform in order for North Wolf to enter the business in the capital" Assistant Yi didn't hold back any information.
