Synopsis

“Some stories are known as myths or legends, while some are called history. But, what happens when those very same stories you thought were mere legends, were a part of our history all along?” The narrator started in a deep voice. “The world is in terrible danger, and the only ones with the powers to stop it are the characters from myths and legends, but they are long gone.” “Find the lost bloodlines of the progenitors and revive their species from extinction and you will have the power to accomplish what they can’t, in their absence.” The video then faded to a black screen before showing the words, “Legends Reborn Online” in big gold letters. The narrator then continued, “Find the lost bloodlines and save the world. Legends Reborn Online launches on June 1st, 2073 at 12 am.” This trailer made Enzo Knight and his friend Ivan extremely excited. They both love playing video games, so getting the new DIVR headgear to play Legends Reborn Online wasn’t even a question. —————————— Thank you to anyone who decides to support the novel.

Chapter 1Announcement Trailer

"Enzo hurry up, the trailer is starting!"

"Shut up Ivan, I already said I'm coming." Enzo replied.

He quickly ran from the kitchen he and his roommate Ivan shared and went back to the living room.

It didn't take long, because the living room and kitchen were basically one big room in the 2 bedroom apartment they shared.

Enzo hopped over the red couch and landed next to Ivan, who then bounced up and down a few times, but he didn't seem to notice.

Enzo placed a big bowl of popcorn in between the two of them, and started eating it in big handfuls.

He dropped a few pieces because his attention was mostly on the large 60 inch TV that was out of place in the small apartment. The TV was just too luxurious compared to everything else.

A narrator soon started speaking and the screen started to pan into a beautiful scene.

"Some stories are known as myths or legends, while some are called history. But, what happens when those very same stories you thought were mere legends, were a part of our history all along?" The narrator started in a deep voice.

"The world is in terrible danger, and the only ones with the powers to stop it are the characters from myths and legends, but they are long gone."

"Find the lost bloodlines of the progenitors and revive their species from extinction and you will have the power to accomplish what they can't, in their absence."

On the screen right now was a video of what looked to be different species of humanoid creatures standing in a line.

Enzo wasn't sure just what type they all were, but he could take a guess.

From left to right he saw: An angel, a dragonoid, a dwarf, a wolfman, a foxkin, an elf, and lastly another elf but with fangs.

They were all standing on a grassy field, with what looked like a city in the distance.

The sky was clear and the wind blew the hair of some of the people in the scene.

The video then faded to a black screen before showing the words, "Legends Reborn Online" in big gold letters.

The narrator then continued, "Find the lost bloodlines and save the world. Legends Reborn Online launches on June 1st, 2073 at 12 am."

"That's it?!" Ivan screamed.

"Sigh. I guess so. That was a very short trailer." Enzo lamented.

Before this trailer was shown, the only news about the game came from an announcement on the website of the company that created Legends Reborn Online.

It was a brief article announcing the invention of the Dream Immersion Virtual Reality system, or DIVR, and the game that would accompany it.

The only information the article gave was about how the DIVR headgear works and other DIVR headgear information.

There was nothing else about the game that would be released except for the name until now.

That's not to say the information about the brand new technology wasn't interesting. DIVR is something the world has never seen before, so it caught the interest of almost every single gamer in the world.

The DIVR headgear would be released in two models on May 31st, the bronze model and the silver model.

The bronze model will be $200 and the silver model will be $1000. The price difference is huge, but so is the experience.

The bronze headgear offers 90% realism and allows the player to play for 12 hour periods with 6 hour rest periods in between. This is because the bronze headgear is not comfortable enough and could cause neck damage if used for too long.

The silver headgear is not only much more comfortable, but also offers 95% realism. It can be used comfortably for 16 hours at a time with 4 hour rest periods in between.

Enzo saved up all of his money since the announcement of the new technology to be able to buy the silver headgear.

He could have just asked for some money from Ivan who has a very rich family, but he doesn't like doing things like that.

That's one of the reasons he and Ivan are even friends.

They were randomly assigned as roommates in their first year of college, so they started hanging out to get acquainted with each other.

Ivan doesn't have many other friends because most people just want his money, but he noticed Enzo was the complete opposite, so he befriended him. They have been best friends ever since, and decided for their second year of college to share an apartment together.

Enzo is an orphan so he doesn't have parents that can pay for his things like Ivan. He has to make money with a job to pay for his side of the rent and for other things. The only reason he was even able to attend such an expensive college like theirs was because he got a full scholarship.

However, Ivan isn't the type of person to let his friends struggle. He offered many times to pay the full rent of the apartement and for many other things, but Enzo refuses everytime.

"Are you ready to get in line tomorrow?" Enzo asked Ivan.

"Yup!" He excitedly responded.

They were going to camp out in line starting tomorrow morning, as tomorrow is May 30th, a day before the headgear is released.

Ivan usually would be back at his parents home by this time of year because college classes ended a few weeks ago, but he decided to stay back and play the new game with Enzo.

He could obviously still play with him even if he was at his parents home, but he felt it was not the same if he didn't get to experience everything with his best friend.

"Alright, let's go to sleep so we can be up early tomorrow. Set your alarm for 8 am." Enzo told Ivan.

He nodded in response and made his way to his bedroom.

Enzo did the same. He entered the small 10 by 10 foot room and plopped down on his bed. It took a while to fall asleep due to the excitement of what the next day would bring, but he eventually drifted off.

MMORPG : Rebirth Of The Strongest Vampire God

In the year 2100 humanity was introduced to the revolutionary full dive VR game called 'Omega', however, the game was not a technology made by humans but one granted to humanity by a higher power to prepare them for the first awakening. It was only a tutorial and a means to smoothly transition the primitive species from thinking that they were alone in the entire universe, to being integrated into the true wide universe. When the average user level in the game exceeded the predetermined threshold the tutorial finally ended and planet earth underwent a catastrophic event called the 'First Awakening ', as mana started to flow freely in the real world as it did in the virtual world and the real universal stage game called 'Sigma' was unveiled. 'Sigma' was governed by the omnipotent A.I. the universal queen, and was the grand stage where races from all across the universe fought together for territory, resources, and honor. Set in a universe where fantasy races such as elves, dragons, and vampires are not a myth but real power players, humans quickly found out that they were one of the weakest races to play 'Sigma'. In such desperate times, humans turned to their best professional players for salvation. -------------- Max, was a genius in the world of Omega and deemed the hope of mankind after the first awakening. However, an accident crippled his mana veins and caused him to be assessed as a manaless trash in Sigma! Deemed hopeless and irredeemable, he quickly went from hero to zero, and the world ignored him. For ten years since the first awakening, he lived the life of a manaless trash and became a bottom feeder in society, slowly losing his pride, his possessions, and eventually his identity. In the end, he faced a tragic and painful death while failing to save his young nephew and niece from assailants. However, it was not the end of Max's story but just the beginning as he was reincarnated back in time to the day before the first awakening before his downfall started! Armed with the knowledge of the future, watch as Max reaches for the apex in his second life and fights against his destiny with grit and tenacity. ------- My other works - MMORPG: Rebirth Of The Strongest Guild Master Terra Nova Online: Rise Of The Strongest Player Villain With The Strongest System discord link :- https://discord.gg/KJtRdwcW94

Starting this review, I can say the book has potential if nothing else. The author is aiming for something unique, despite tackling one of the most troublesome genres to make unique IMO (The video game genre). I love how diverse classes and sub-classes are. It proves that there's room for a great World Building which is a good sign. Synopsis: I came to learn that a long synopsis isn't the way to go unless you add some real flavor and spice to it. Not to say your synopsis is bad, just that the cold reality is that a lot of people seem to skip the synopses or skim through them unless there's something present to grab their attention. Would recommend maybe cutting the synopsis a little or adding something to make it more worthwhile. Story Development: I gave this 5 stars. The author seems to have everything planned out which makes the story more enjoyable and gives it direction. Writing quality: Gave this a 4. In terms of grammar, kudos to the author. Pretty good and far from unreadable which many will appreciate. However, I took away a star for one reason and that's vocabulary. While the grammar is good, there are a lot of unnecessary words or phrases that could be made shorter with the use of more concise words that get to the point. I pointed out an example in just the second sentence of the first chapter. There are quite a few instances where shorter sentences could be made in both narration and dialogue. Character Design: Honestly, I don't usually mark this but I decided to make this the first book I actually marked it (sorry lol. Decided that if the author describes their character then I'll grade how well it was done). I gave this a four. Simply because the descriptions were kinda plain. I'm probably nit-picking but I like when descriptions bring flair and pizazz to the writing quality. Terms like "Blue eyes, short blonde hair" could use additional flavor. Like "Gorgeous Blue eyes that reflected the color of the sky". I love stuff like that. You can keep it the way you want though. I'm just nit-picking as mentioned before. Updating Stability: Judging from your weekly chapters, I see 0 chapters per week. Not sure what's up with that but gave it 5 anyway. You might have irl issues that prevent you from updating constantly. World Background: Gave this a 5. Done well IMO. I could nit-pick this too but I'll let it slide because that would be too harsh. You detailed the World the characters are in pretty well. Good job author! Finally, I must say this book has potential. Readers, if you're looking for something interesting, take a look at this one. Positive you have at least an 80% chance of enjoying. Overall 4.6. Keep up the good work author!
