Chapter 51: Have you forgotten me?

The Monsignor entered like a feral beast of some sort.

He found Alex on one part of the room while Chadwas Bayrus was on another side of the room.

He looked between the two of them and he did his best to hold back a growing burst of laughter that was eager to be released.

He stifled the laughter to a snort when he noticed the bulge on Chadwas Bayrus's groin area.

He looked at Alex and could tell that she had frustrated Lord Chadwas to no end.

After he struggled with laughter and managed to stifle it, he turned to Alex, "It's time to make Lord Chadwas happy, come here like a good little girl and let's get this episode over with."

The Monsignor expected that Alex would come obediently after he spoke but the opposite was the case.

Alex didn't move an inch, she even looked at the Monsignor with contempt and a bit of hatred.

The Monsignor was shocked.

"Grab her..." He commanded, and two hefty men appeared from behind him and went after her.

They grabbed her from both sides before she could mount an escape.

Two more hefty men entered the room to offer support.

Alex started to thrash violently, she kicked, bit slapped, and slammed as much as she could.

She screamed and moved as if she wasn't doing enough of that already.

The hefty men had a hard time holding her and some of them even had bloody gashes around their arms.

Alex had injured them during her struggles.

~gbaaaaaaaa~

One of the hefty men suddenly struck her across the cheeks.

The slap stung so much that her eyes were watery.

"Save me...." She muttered as she kept struggling. "My Lover, save me..." She repeated while still thrashing around.

"No one is going to save you..." Lord Chadwas said with a devilish smile as he watched her struggle.

Alex continued to thrash around and the Monsignor suddenly got fed up and brought out a knife.

"If you won't shut it, maybe I should just shut you up permanently like your dead boyfriend..." The Monsignor enunciated the last words 'dead boyfriend' to make it hurt deeper while carrying the knife towards her

He wanted to stab her when he suddenly heard a deep growl.

~grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr~

The growl was like that of a rabid dog.

He turned around wondering where that sound came from.

He started pointing the knife in every direction and shouting, "Who is there, show yourself... You're in Lord Chadwas Bayrus residence without authorization or approval, do you have a death wish?"

No response came except the low growl again, ~grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr~

The hefty men left Alex alone at this point and hobbled together while they looked around, wondering what could be around the corner.

They turned their heads from one side to another searching frantically.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang...

~gboooaaaaah~

The front door was smashed in and a smoky white hue filled the entire room. No one could be seen except a great dense fog.

Suddenly there was a swoosh and that was followed by a scream from one of the hefty men.

~aaahhhhhhh~ The hefty man yelled as life was being ebbed out of him.

Before anyone could say jack, a headless man was dropped as if he came from the roof.

Almost immediately, another man was swooshed.

The swoosh sound was followed by a loud terrifying scream, ~Ahhhhhhhhh~

Another hefty man was dropped from the roof.

Alex had a big smile on her face.

Her heart was beating at the same rhythm as the newcomer, he or it was indeed Azrael Herrington.

The Monsignor rushed to stand protectively in front of Lord Chadwas while holding his gun expertly.

He could see the smile on the face of Alex and was wondering if she was crazy.

They were all in a precarious situation yet she could smile with not a single worry in the world.

Another thought came to his mind, 'Could this thing be her dead lover who had come back to life.'

At this rate, a lot of fearful thoughts bombarded the mind of the Monsignor.

Chadwas Bayrus wasn't feeling any better, he was a spectator in his own party and a beast had just come to ruin it.

The Monsignor pointed his gun in a direction all of a sudden and unleashed bullets, ~gbooov, ~gboooov, ~gbooov.

The bullets sounded as if they met a metal wall and a clanking sound could be heard afterward.

When everyone else least expected it, the silhouette of a man suddenly appeared.

He looked haggard as if he was wearing rags for clothes.

He stank like he just took baptism from a skunk and his eyes were yellow, it was so uncanny.

His nails were looking razor sharp and long, it felt like they could cut through wood like a saw.

His fangs were on display with blood stains on them.

This was Azrael Herrington in his werewolf form. His body was filled with beastly body hairs, it made up for his exposed parts through his torn clothes.

Alex ran straight toward him without a thought and jumped on him. "My lover," She said through gritted teeth.

Azrael Herrington looked at her in confusion and spoke in a gruff voice, "Who are you...?"

He couldn't remember anything about Alex except that he felt the need to protect her.

He stood there in confusion looking at her.

He felt some form of deep compassion for her but nothing more than that.

He could feel what she was feeling but her thoughts were somehow blocked like there was an invisible barrier between them.

"Wait what?" Monsignor laughed when he discovered what was going on. "So you came here without even knowing what you came for? hehehe, He doesn't even remember his lover..." The Monsignor found that part funny at that time.

Chadwas Bayrus, however, wasn't laughing, he didn't share the same sense of humor as the Monsignor, he found this half-man-half beast to be terrifying and he would rather want to be in a safer place.

"Azrael...." Alex called as tears streamed down her face, "Have you forgotten me?"
