Juggernaut part 1

This chapter is a bit longer than usual, around 2,500 words.

Jane finally calmed down and stopped shaking me like no tomorrow.

Jane looked at the carnage that I caused and said, "Don't do that again I thought I would die at that time."

"Hehehe," I laughed awkwardly and thought to myself that it wasn't my fault, blame the processes of breaking through my bottleneck.

We watch the burning forest and ever-growing mushroom cloud in the distance, for a while without saying anything.

A few minutes later, I broke the silence and asked Jane, "Did this explosion alert the village?"

"Definitely." Jane reply.

"Do we need to go back and tell what happened?"

"That is unnecessary Village Chief has an innate skill to see very far away, she must already know what happened here," Jane said.

"I thought so," I reply.

Jane claps her hands together to catch my attention, "OK let's back hunting."

Jane was about to turn around and start hunting again, but I stopped her.

"Jane are we leaving the Blue Bear, that will be a waste."

"What Blue Bear, Isn't the bear turn to ashes thanks to your excessive attack?" Jane asks bewildered.

I sighed and pointed to the Blue Bear's corpse lying on the ground with a hole in its chest.

Jane's eyes showed confusion and retorted, "Do you think that Blue Bear would be intact after that explosion?"

I sighed and said, "Did you forget what you saw earlier, my arrow pierced the Blue Bear's heart and the arrow continued to fly piercing many trees then exploded in a far distance."

Jane remembered that the arrow indeed pierced the Blue Bear's heart and then the arrow exploded in the far distance, which meant that the Blue Bear's corpse was intact and could be a butcher.

Seeing that Jane realized that I didn't destroy the Blue Bear, she turned around to look.

I walked toward the large Blue Bear corpse, took out a knife, and started to butcher it.

Jane followed suit and helped me.

After a few hours, we finished butchering the Blue Bear, and the corpse of the Blue Bear turned into a good-quality material for food, weapons, clothes, and medicine.

"Well that's it, I think this is enough, do we continue or go back?" I ask Jane.

Jane looks at her storage ring to see if the monsters that we hunt are enough for the food supplies of the Village.

A few minutes later Jane shakes her head, "We will continue, if this a normal circumstance this is enough, however, based on the abnormality in the forest and few monsters around to hunt, this might not be enough."

In Jane's mind, she thought that the abnormality and lack of monsters in this forest would last for quite some time, making the gathering of food challenging the more days pass.

This is only the first day, who would know when this abnormality ends or when the population of the monsters comes back, or even who would know that this abnormality will become worse and worse?

Because of these reasons, she thought that they needed to hunt more, in case a worst-case scenario happened, such as no monsters to hunt, very powerful and dangerous monsters roaming around the forest in great numbers, or monsters attacking the village.

Jane and I kept hunting until noon, soon the sun was about to set and we decided to go back.

The entire forest was bathed in the orange glow of the setting sun.

Many monsters that were on the bottom of the food chain went back to their nest and went into hiding, while the powerful ones started to wake up and begin their hunt, they were the predators that ruled the night of the Nameless Forest.

Jane and I skip brunch to the branches at a speed that eyes cannot follow.

In just an hour we travel hundreds of kilometers in 30 minutes, about to reach the Village.

"We almost didn't make it in time, I thought we were going to spend a night on the ground," I said while sighing.

Jane looked at me blankly and said, "Even a crazy person wouldn't have a thought of sleeping on the ground in this forest, If you hadn't chased that rare monster for hundreds of kilometers we already reached the village sooner "

I scratch my nose, "Then I was beyond crazy person then, and sorry about that."

Jane gave up saying anything, she already knew that saying something now wouldn't change John's personality and views.

"So who's attacking and how many they are?" Jane ask.

"They are only one attacker and it wasn't a person it is a level 7 monster Juggernaut."

A juggernaut is a monster that focuses on speed and deadly attacks that target the vital part of the body of its enemy, this monster specializes in sneak attacks and one-on-one fights,

Juggernaut has a dragon skull as its head and its body is huge, with empty eye sockets, only hollow darkness present on his eyes, and glowing red pupil. It has a thin legs and a tall figure.

Jane's face shows a grim face and crouches, "We need to hurry, John."

Jane jumped to the opposite brunch and started to run and jump in different brunches running towards the village.

I followed her from behind, I watched the villager fight the juggernaut with my magic sense to be sure that no one would die.

I raise my hand open palm and then gather mana on my hands and cast a chantless spell called Falling Down.

A ball of lightning appears in my palm, releasing a powerful chirping sound like a bird and light that illuminates the surroundings. It's already dark, and because of this, the light of the lighting ball on my hands becomes a beacon in this dark forest.

Jane who was running in front of me turned her head to me when she saw that the surroundings started to be covered in light.

Jane only glanced at me for a second and then turned her head in front again without saying anything, she knew that was not the time to ask so she didn't ask and continued to move forward.

When the spell was ready I said the name of the spell in a low tone to finish it.

"Falling Down, Thunder"

The ball of lightning rises in the air flying above the clouds.

When the ball of lightning reaches above the clouds, it explodes creating a blinding light that illuminates a radius of 30km.

When the light subsided, dark clouds started to gather in the sky releasing some thunder here and there.

Nameless Forest, Dark Elf Village/Archama Village.

The village is in chaos, every house and tree is enveloped by flames, many Dark Elves are casting water magic to put down the fire, and others are tending to the injured one.

All the dark elves in the village were running around to solve the crisis that befell their village.

No one cried nor became mentally broken, all of the Dark Elves have an iron will and mentality that makes them think clearly and solve crises efficiently, this iron will and mentality was born from them thanks to countless crises and devastating monster attacks they experienced throughout the history of their village.

The Village continued to burn while the residents were saving it.

Despite this chaos, no one died but this will change at any moment.

In the middle of the city on the ground, you could see a dozen dark elves fighting a huge monster.

This monster has a skull head, four feet, and a tail with spikes.

In front of the dozen dark elves, Norn was leading them, barking orders and organizing their formation.

"Ani, Delery, Vel, and Nox follow me and hold the front.

"Zery, Feruto, and Elk take the opportunity that we create and targets is vital."

"Locy, Reteria, and Avadel help us with your support magic, try to spread out and distance yourself."

These four girls are all level 7-8 dark elves that master the sword like Norn, the only difference between Norn and them is, that Norn has a higher potential than the four.

The juggernaut was absorbed in blocking Norn's relentless attack, ignoring the other four who were charging both of its flanks.

Ani slams her shield to the Juggernaut's feet, Delery cuts off the tail, Vel destroys the joint on the left side by piercing it using her spear, and Nox slices the Juggernaut's stomach open.

The juggernaut roared in pain, he jumps away trying to distance itself from the enemy on its side and front

Unfortunately, Norn didn't allow it.

Juggernaut successfully distances itself thanks to its incredible speed, however, Norn has the same speed as the Juggernaut.

When the juggernaut disappeared and reappeared a hundred meters away in a blink of an eye.

Norn also suddenly disappeared and reappeared in the blink of an eye appearing on top of the Juggernaut already swinging her sword vertically targetting its neck.

Juggernaut felt the danger and hastily dodged to the right side.

Norn slash created a vertical sword slash made of sharpened mana and shaped into a crescent slash that can cut through any be it steel, mithril, mountain, ocean, or even the sky.

The juggernaut uses its speed again a reappears behind Norn.

A huge vertical slash was released from her sword traveling at great speed cutting all the trees in front of her and even the mountain in the far distance, everything in front of her was sliced in half vertically.

Juggernaut took the opportunity to strike.

The juggernaut stabbed its sharp spear-like hands into Norn's back at a speed that eyes could not follow.

This chantless magic that Locy about the cast was a support type magic called Eluserisy, A mass and Omni range teleportation magic that can be cast from other people in your team and the caster. This magic was the instantaneous activation that didn't need any chant.

Eluserisy can be manipulated to only target one person in teleportation or target all of your allies.

On the other hand, the skill that she activated is called Boost, a skill that has the effect of strengthening the physics, endurance, and durability of its wielder a hundredfold.

This skill can only be active for an hour and it has 3 minute cooldown before she can use this again.

Ani figure suddenly disappeared and reappeared between Norn and Juggernaut.

Norn who was one step away from Ani immediately reacted and used his speed to block the attack with her sword and redirect it to her left side.

The attack of the Juggernaut was redirected to the ground instead.

Juggernaut uses its speed and reappears in the blind spot of the two, and that is their sides.

Juggernaut raises its spear-like hands and attacks the two.

Unfortunately for him, Norn's speed is not inferior to him.

With her great speed, Norn turned her body to face the Juggernaut and pary its attack directing it to the ground again.

At this moment an opening was created and the others who were waiting for opportunities immediately took it.

Elk the Assassin, Zery, and Feruto the Ninjas take this opening without any hesitation.

They used some magic footwork that made their speed reach the speed of sound.

This footwork was basic in close combat confrontation and was usually used by close combat experts and assassins.

With the element of surprise, the three appear above the Juggernaut and they target its Joint to immobilize.

Elk throws some poisoned needles, while Zery and Feruto, use their kunai to target the Joints by cutting.
