Synopsis

Chapter 1CHAPTER ONE- HER

She stood in her office, looking outside the glass window, observing the hustling and bustling streets of New York. Her face devoid of any feelings or expressions, she has mastered the art of masking her emotions over the years, she cannot afford to show any form of weakness around anyone, not even her own parents.

Elizabeth Anderson is a 29 year old lady, beautiful in the real sense of the word with her beautifully modelled body, long pointed nose that accentuated her facial features. She has the right curves in the right places, giving her a hot slim body that every lady dreams of.

She was dressed in an armless long black gown thAt hug her curves perfectly. Her full brown colored hair flowing on her shoulders with grace, she was impeccably beautiful.

Just as she heaved a deep sigh, the intercom on her table buzzed, she turned around swiftly to press the button.

"Yes"

"Ms Alisha is here to see you ma'am ' came her P.A's voice over the intercom.

"Please send her in"

Barely two minutes later, Alisha her best friend and Childhood friend bursts into her office, all smiles, carrying a pizza box.

"Hello girlfriend.... " Alisha beams at her, seating on the couch in the room.

"And where are you coming from in this sun Ali...?" Elizabeth asks, walking around her table to sit besides her on the couch.

"From the office of course! I was craving Pizza and I thought what better way to enjoy it than to share with my stucked-up friend because IAM very sure you are starving already" she replied as she opens the Pizza box.

"Hhmmm...typical of you".

"You changed your P.A again?

"Yes"

"You scared the last one away as well?"

"She's too slow for my liking and cannot keep up with me" Elizabeth answered uninterested, taking up a slice of Pizza.

"Poor thing".

They both dived into the pizza, eating in silence.

Alisha had been her only friend right from childhood, the only one who tolerates her excesses and mood swings, the only one who knows her secret and can tame her at any point. They have been through some deep shits together and they have always stuck by each other through tooth and nail.

"What is bothering you Liz.? You don't look like yourself? Alisha asks , looking at her friend as she licks her fingers like a child.

"Ali...! Stop that please...will.you?? It's disgusting licking your fingers like that..." Elizabeth shouted at her in disgust.

"Well..deal with it girl..." She replied smilling innocently. "Just tell me whatever it is that is bothering you, I'm all ears"

"Nothing Ali, I'm good"

"Nah..don't tell me nothing"

"I mean it, just having that stupid migraine again"

" Hmm girl, you know I know you right? You know I won't take that migraine story from you so better start spilling it right now" Ali told her, facing her.

"Okay...okay...I give up but can we do this later? "

"Better".

Just then, the intercom buzzed again and her P.A's voice came on.

" Your next appointment is here ma'am,the meeting starts in the next 10 minutes"

"Alright....."her voice trailed off, trying to remember her new P.A's name.

"Betty ma'am" came the curt reply over the intercom.

"Right...Betty"

"I guess that's my cue to leave...right?"

"I will catch up with you later in the day Ali,I have to go now" she said as she walked to her table, picking up some files. "I will call you right after my meeting".

"Alright babe...take care of you".

They side hugged as they both exited the office together.
