Chapter 53

"ROOOOOAAARRR!"

With a huge roar, the Scarlet Dragon charged toward Itachi completely ignoring the sword thrown at him.

As he was about to be hit by the Sword the Scarlet Dragon twisted his huge body making a deflection as he continued his thrust, but that was his biggest mistake...

Itachi disappeared from the position he was in, and when he reappeared again he was already holding the sword on top of the Scarlet Dragon, and with a quick and powerful downward slash, he cut off the Scarlet Dragon's head.

It was clean-cut and extremely effective, it was as if Itachi was cutting a sheet of paper because of the ease with which he cut the Dragon's head off.

The once noisy mountain range was now taken over by silence, the thunder had already ceased and the dark clouds slowly began to disappear giving way to beautiful sunny blue skies.

Craters were scattered everywhere which showed the dimension this fight had taken, and in the center of the mountain range was the huge body of a Dragon with its head missing. And in front of the huge Dragon body was Itachi standing still.

In Itachi's hands was the core of the Scarlet Dragon, it was possible to see that this core had a huge amount of fire attribute, after all, it was lightly burning Itachi's hand.

"First Level of the Sovereign Profound Realm... I guess this is my limit for now." Itachi thought.

He knew that his easy victory was because the Dragon did not ordinarily gain this cultivation but by unnatural means, if the Dragon was a true Sovereign Realm Profound cultivator then the results might have been different.

Sweeping his gaze over the surroundings, he realized the destruction that an expert battle causes, and he knew that in the future things would only get worse in the way of destruction.

"You did it!"

An excited shout was heard in the distance and when Itachi turned around he felt something pressing on his chest looking down he saw Chu Yuechan hugging him.

Realizing her slip Chu Yuechan quickly pulled away from Itachi and returned to her usual cold expression.

"It's good that you won..." She said coldly, but it was possible to detect a trace of affection in her speech.

Nodding his head, Itachi moved a little closer to her and held out his hand with the Scarlet Dragon core. A clear sign that he wanted to give this core to her.

"This core is for you," Itachi said calmly.

Chu Yuechan's cold expression broke quickly when she heard Itachi's words. After all, he had risked his life to fight a Scarlet Dragon that managed to advance to the Sovereign Profound Realm, and now he was giving her this Dragon's core.

"I don't need it, with my talent I can hardly advance further than the Emperor Profound Realm, so this core is better if you use it yourself." She said with a cold expression, even if she was tempted to get the core from a Scarlet Dragon, she knows better than anyone that it won't be of many benefits to herself.

Itachi thought of arguing but seeing the expression and the tone Chu Yuechan was speaking, he chose to just keep the Scarlet Dragon core, he will find another opportunity to give this core to the girl.

Since his cultivation was at the Tyrannical Profound Realm it would be useless for him to use this Scarlet Dragon Core that was only at the Emperor Profound Realm.

"You know how to get girls..."

A voice with slight murderous intent sounded in Itachi's mind causing him to stop looking at his surroundings and focus on his mind.

Looking inside his Universe, he could see a Jasmine with an angry expression on her face, and the girl seemed to have realized that Itachi was watching her.

"Hmph! It seems that I underestimated you... To be able to fight a Dragon of the Sovereign Profound Realm while still in the Tyrannical Profound Realm, you are something..." Jasmine commented.

Shaking his head, Itachi stopped paying attention to Jasmine and went back to focusing on what was left of the Mountain Range. This was because he felt his Universe reacting to something that was under the rubble. And deciding to take a look he eventually found what looked like a seed.

The seed seemed to contain the element of fire within its composition and if one glanced at it one would think it was a fire pill refined by some ordinary alchemist, but the moment he placed his hand on the seed he heard Jasmine's voice in his mind.

"Who could have imagined that the Evil God Seed would be here..."

That voice made Itachi realize that what was in his hand was no ordinary seed and seemed to have some history behind its creation.

"Hmph!"

Jasmine who realized that Itachi was now paying attention to her, snorted slightly but still decided to explain the seed to Itachi.

"The reason I came to this place was that I wanted to find the five Secret Areas of the Evil God. And before you ask me, the Five Secret Areas are places of refuge that the Evil God possessed, and only those who had inherited his power would be able to find them. But who could imagine that you who are not even a descendant of his could find one..."

At the end of her speech, she began to wonder if Itachi was not the reincarnation of the Evil God or some lost descendant, after all from the knowledge she had only those who had inherited the power of such a God could locate these seeds.

Itachi didn't ask much about the Evil God or the seeds, that was because he knew it was something that with his current level of strength it wouldn't be very useful to know about this knowledge it might bring more trouble for him.

This was one of the few times Itachi spoke to Jasmine and to the red-haired girl's surprise it was a thank you causing her beautiful face to warm slightly.

"Hmph! That's just common knowledge of where I came from." She said as she turned her face away.

The Evil God Seed soon disappeared from Itachi's hands. And since he already had a hunch where the seed was he just ignored it and started collecting some herbs that managed to survive the battle.

These herbs could be useful for the sect who could use them to refine pills for the disciples. Itachi at no point forgot about his sect, in fact during the entire battle he was thinking about how to improve the sect's overall strength.

Having finished collecting everything with Chu Yuechan, he decided that it was time to return to the sect, and on the way, he might be able to collect some Sky Profound Realm beast cores.
